The Church of Christ was established to draw all men unto god. She is Mt to glorify God and be of benefit to man. Today there are churches that has seemingly flourishing numerically with hundreds of thousands of those who profess Christianity. It is not enough to confess with your mouth that Jesus is lord your life must be a fruitful one.Today, Jesus is hungry. He looks forward to finding fruits on you to satisfy his hunger. The book of Isaiah says he shall see the travel of the soul and shall be satisfied. It is not our membership of the particular denomination that gives Jesus satisfaction. It is not the generous and heavy donations will put into church offering box that gives Jesus joy. He looks for more than dad James 2:18. The splendid temple with its glittering gold was described by Jesus as den of robbers. The church that flourishes financially is what some ministers look for but our riches without the fruit of the spirit is worse than mystery before the Lord.Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them Matthew chapter 7 verse 19 - 20.God cares absolutely nothing for our professions of piety. Without the fruit of repentance shown indeed and useful service it is an abomination. To God just as leaves cannot take the place of fruits so religion and its external shows will never replace genuine conversion and production of the fruit of the spirit. Outward profession of religion will not atone for the absence of holiness of heart and life.As we draw close to each of the Christian festival the religious leaves of many professing Christians will once again be displayed in the church. They will attend the church once more to mark the Day Jesus was born. Those who never read their bibles from January maybe giving the only listen to read in their in their church or cathedral on that day. That recognition given to you by your priest does not mean that you are a candidate of heaven.I am challenging Pastors, Reverends, Military men, Police, Custom officials, Civil servants, Business men and women, Students, young and old, high and low who only go to church and are held in honour, probably for the official rank or supposed piety to bear no fruits of holiness. The Lord’s searching eye is fixed upon you. He comes searching for fruit and if he finds none then be sure that you will wither away in hell-fire. Remember the Lord words, by their fruits you shall know them it is not by their leaves of profession but by your fruit of repentance. Repent therefore and believe the Gospel.
