We are living in uncertain times; there is no denying it. Isolation and quarantine are effects on the whole world. In such times, it is absolutely imperative to mention that Covid-19 has drastically impacted everyone’s mental health.
We are facing inconvenience and loss in our daily lives like social, environmental, and financial. Amusement and joy are bounded to our homes .social activities have vanished. A major change in daily routines, loss of income, loss of jobs, working from home, and online study classes.
Firstly, let us take a look at some of the consequences of this disease on mental health such that Negative emotions, Fear, and anxiety are on the peak. Results are frightening, confused mindset, agitation, and restlessness. Breadwinners are particularly anxious due to the threat of loss of employment. This feeling of lack of control is mentally exaggerated them which in turn makes us take all the irrational behavior and decisions.
Social distancing and isolation We all understand that it is crucial to stay at home to prevent this virus from spreading. As humans we are social species, we need face to face social interactions. Loneliness, as we all know, is a cause for depression, anxiety, and mood of instabilities.
Impatient people can start displacing their anger on less harmful subjects creates a sense of frustration, which results in disturbance in interpersonal relationships. Persons who feel completely hopeless, helpless, and worthless in such times often have a chance of committing suicide acts. Seeing death and suffering everywhere can make a person doubtful about their own illness.
One of the great reasons is checking headlines on news channels and social media platforms especially just before bedtime makes you worried and disturbed bed sleep.
