By now, most would know how the initial players and investors in Splinterlands are millionaires. Those are some remarkable facts to show the dawn of the crypto gaming age. I mean, how many of us would have thought of earning while playing, let alone becoming millionaires? 😊

Anyway, today's post was more about the peculiar choice of teams by two different bots and the game leading to the same result. I won, obviously. After all, that's why I am talking about it over here. 😊 The idea of bots in Splinterlands is something we discussed in one of my previous posts, so we will not go over that again. However, the eerie similarity in team selection between two different bot groups was an interesting observation. So, like many exciting games that I discuss, here is one more that I will discuss today.

But before we jump into the battle and their similarities, wouldn't you want to know a bit more about Splinterlands? I am sure you do.

So, let's go.

What Game is Splinterlands?

Splinterlands is a digital card game that allows you to collect, trade, battle, rent, and even earn from the cards. *The game gives Play to Earn a whole different meaning.* It is one of the most generous games I have seen where cards, potions, and Dark Energy Crystals (DEC. Cryptocurrency) are given out daily to thousands of players for just playing and winning daily quests. And there are tournaments that you can play or guilds you can join.

And this is just a tiny number. I have witnessed people getting uber-expensive cards in their pack and selling it for as high as $6500. This means the game has interested buyers for your cards too. In fact, there is a whole Splinterlands marketplace.

Two Back-to-Back Games | Same Outcome

So, let's get back to our games in discussion. We will look at these two games one after the other in immediate succession. The succession was the main reason for me to remember the similarity. Not only were the bots' selections similar, but mine was too.

Face Off With My Opponents!

Here are screenshots of the two battles. In both cases, the opponent (bot) had chosen the Dragon Splinter and Djinn Chwala. The only difference was that one battle was a 12-mana battle while the other was 13.

What you see on the bottom side of the screen grab is my team. I went with the Water Splinter. The choice of monsters was Venari Wavesmith and Coral Wraith in both the games.

The Battle Rages

As you can see, by round 2 in both the games, the Djinn's health was reduced to 3. Because the Djinn was attacking my monsters with the shield, it took two rounds to just get to the monster. In the meantime, my magic attackers, Venari Wavesmith and Coral Wraith were attacking incessantly. Each round, they were damaging the Djinn's health by three. That was good enough for me to ride towards victory.

And Victory It Was!

And there it was. By the end of Round 3, the Djinn was battered and destroyed. The noticeable thing in both the games is that the Djinn's shield remains intact while both my monsters' health remains intact. It was one fun game, and pretty odd that they happened in quick succession.

So, this is the battle that I wanted to highlight. Funny, isn't it? And you would have noticed that they are two different bots going for the same strategy. I wonder if they are sourced from the same person. 😊 Either way, I am happy that I won.

So, That's It | Those Were the Two Peculiar Games

This was not the first time I saw bots playing the same game plan. I had earlier talked about a similar occurrence where bots from the same player (you can make out with the name and series number) played the same game. Back then, I witnessed five straight games with the bots using the Death Splinter and the same cards in the same position. That was crazy too.

Anyway, this one takes the cake for coming from two different bots. Hmm, I sure have to learn more about the bots.
