Splinterlands | Reward Cards

The fun never stops in the Splinterverse. Just when we thought we had seen everything, we will have new reward cards dropping in. And all this will be ours by just playing the game. Splinterlands is truly a play-to-earn game in real terms.

I am sure you would like to get a sneak peek into the new cards and the abilities, right? Then read on. But before that, shall we spend a minute getting to know Splinterlands? After all, that’s where you will find all these fun battles, rules, and monsters.

What Game is Splinterlands?

Splinterlands is a digital card game that allows you to collect, trade, battle, rent, and even earn from the cards. *The game gives Play to Earn a whole different meaning.* By now, you would know that the governance token (SPS) airdrop made millionaires out of the early adopters. It still keeps giving and remains a fun and engaging game.

To give you an idea of how lucky you can get in Splinterlands, read my story of getting cards worth $500 from buying only a few packs worth $20.

And this is just a tiny number. I have witnessed people getting uber-expensive cards in their pack and selling them for as high as $6500. In fact, there is a whole Splinterlands marketplace on the Hive blockchain and now on Wax too. And now the sales of the Rebellion packs, the newest of the lot, have also started.

New Reward Cards | Sneak-Peek

Let’s start with a sneak peek into the abilities that are being introduced with the reward cards. Much like Chaos Legion reward cards overlapped with the Chaos Legion pack sales, we have Rebellion reward cards complimenting the Rebellion pack sales.

Now, I could write a thesis on all of these abilities or just give you an overview of all the cool things that would be coming soon. I am not going to leave you un-informed, though. Here is a post explaining each of the abilities.

Enjoy reading the post. *Or if you are like James Bond, get on the battlefield and know the abilities up front.* 😉. But that’s not all. Here are some more abilities that could cause debilitating effects on our cards. Yes, you read it right - on friendly cards and not enemy ones.

Then why would we choose such cards? Well, they have some amazing stats to disable the opponent and we will have to find the fine line between destroying the opponents versus destroying our own lineup. Tell me you like what you heard just now.

It sounds fun! But wait that’s not all. There’s more.

The Soul Bound And Unbound Saga | New Reward Cards Release the Old Reward Cards’ Souls

The heading sounded melodramatic but what is on offer is purely practical. Splinterlands team has given the option for the old reward cards to be unbound and become regular cards. That way, we can trade, delegate, or just send it to another player. There is a cost associated with the unbinding and that is explained in the same post that I linked in the above section.

The new Rebellion reward cards will however remain soulbound for the period of their run. So, start collecting soon.
