Splinterlands | Interesting Games

While playing Splinterlands, we come across multiple opponents with funny game plans. You soon realize that they could be newbies or players trying new combinations. Yet, at that moment, that entire gameplan appears absurd or overconfident, and that's what we will look at in this post.

The game I would be referring to used Grum Flameblade as the only monster in the battle. Remember, this could be a newbie or someone trying a new game plan. I think we can jump into the fight, and you will see for yourself.

But before that, how about looking at what Splinterlands is all about? After all, it is the game where you will find Grum Flameblade. 😊

So, let's go.

What Game is Splinterlands?

Splinterlands is a digital card game that allows you to collect, trade, battle, rent, and even earn from the cards. *The game gives Play to Earn a whole different meaning.* It is one of the most generous games I have seen where cards, potions, and Dark Energy Crystals (DEC. Cryptocurrency) are given out daily to thousands of players for just playing and winning daily quests. And there are tournaments that you can play or guilds you can join.

To give you an idea of how lucky you can get in Splinterlands, read my story of getting cards worth $500 from buying only a few packs worth $20.

And this is just a tiny number. I have witnessed people getting uber-expensive cards in their pack and selling it for as high as $6500. This means the game has interested buyers for your cards too. In fact, there is a whole Splinterlands marketplace.

*If this is not enough, then Splinterlands had launched the governance token SPS, which was airdropped to all Splinterlands players over the past year. That event is over, but you can still win SPS in the game. So, you are not late. Get on with the game and earn SPS today. SPS is listed on exchanges, too.*

Grum Flameblade | A Strong Opponent

Given the Blood Lust ability, the Grum is a formidable opponent. However, it could be a mistake when used without consideration for the game plan. I have had the Grum as an opponent quite a lot of times, and when it makes a kill, it gets more powerful. The attack value increases and continues if it keeps making a kill - that way, it is a formidable opponent to tackle and neutralize.

In this case, though, I was the one not using the Grum and still having the last laugh.

On to the battle now.

Face Off With My Opponents!

This is how my opening screen appeared.

You see that all of us have a health of ten, and that's because of the health-equalizer rule—no prizes for guessing that. If the health-equalizer were not in play, this would be an ideal battle where the Grum would have munched on my monsters without even breaking a sweat. The blood lust would have finished my team in no time.

Though, not in this case. And let's see why.

The Battle Rages

At the end of round 1, it is pretty much even steven. Everyone still has full health.

I selected my monsters to have the least mana cost and the most attack value. That's how I could bunch in these monsters within a mana cost of fifteen. With every round, my monsters inflict an attack of six units while the opponent has one attack of five.

And then Victory | I Run Away With the Trophy!

And that's how it looked at the end of Round 2.

Clearly, I had the upper hand. With most of my monsters having a speed greater than the Grum, I thought the third round would do it.

And that's precisely what happened. My monsters polished off the Grum, and that was game over. I won the battle. 😊

So, That's It | A Funny Game

As I mentioned before, the player could have been a newbie and hence not conversant with the game plays. I just had fun playing and therefore had to write about it.

Anyway, I enjoyed playing the game, and I hope you enjoyed reading it too. 😉
