Splinterlands | Bitcoin Halving | Halfling Alchemist's Brothers | Baron Fyatt and Henchling Enforcer
Splinterlands | Celebrating Bitcoin Halving!
This is why I love Splinterlands. They bring in those light touches to remind us that we are a game over a blockchain and that we celebrate crypto events. The most important event of the most important blockchain currency is upon us and that’s what Splinterlands is planning to celebrate. What are we talking about? Bitcoin Halving!
Just to give you a background, Splinterlands came into existence back in 2018, and since then have been entertaining the cryptoverse with a card game that we have grown to love. I am putting this out there – by playing Splinterlands, we were owning NFTs at a time when NFTs weren’t even a thing. There I said it.
And that’s one of the reasons why I feel that the game ensures that we remember our blockchain roots. Not only are they celebrating the current halving, but also the one that happened four years back.
Really? Yes, we did.
Bitcoin Halving | Circa 2020 | Halfling Alchemist Graced the Splinterverse
And the celebration was in style just two years after the game broke cover. Halfling Alchemist was the first of the attack-reducing cards that cut the attack stats by half; halfling, Bitcoin halving, get it?
Here’s the champ:
Remember this guy? And trust me, I never regretted buying this card. It was one of the best cards I had. So, that’s what I mean when I say, the Splinterlands guys know how to celebrate an occasion and ensure that we remember it forever.
But what about the current halving?
Here It Is | Baron Fyatt and Henchling Enforcer | Alchemist’s Younger Brothers!
Splinterlands keeps getting better and better. Not only have they got two new cards – Baron and Henchling, but also thrown in several prizes including Alpha, Beta, and other packs, land, Runi, and more. I mean these two cards look fun already and we still have prizes to win over and above.
This has got to be crazy; crazy celebration, I mean. Here are our halfling bros:
You see that? One is a magic card while the other is a ranged attacker. Baron is a legendary card while Enforcer is a rare card. But think about the game and how attacking the opponent is not only going to bleed them but also cut their attacks to half.
Alright, now give me the details. Okay, here we go.
Wanna Get Your Hands on Them? | Here Are the Details
The cards are available now under a promotion where you get points for the amount you put in. So, 1 point for 1 DEC. DEC is 1/1000th of a dollar. Not only that, the promotion runs for 15 days and the sooner you buy, your points get multiplied. It starts with a multiplier of three and keeps reducing, thereafter.
Today, the multiplier is at 2.71. The earlier you buy, the more points you get. And remember, you still stand to win land, different packs, Runi, and more. So, you are not just getting your hands on the *awesomest* cards out there but also winning more.

And you can come back to thank me. Here are some of your questions answered:
- *What If I am not a player?*
Well, you can start today. There has never been a better time. Here is my link: https://splinterlands.com?ref=namok. If you don’t want to use my link, you can head directly over to https://next.splinterlands.com/ and register.
- *What If I don’t want to play?*
Then you are a collector. Remember I said that these cards are NFT in themselves? What better than buying and holding two rare cards within the Splinterverse? Also, this is specially made for the 2024 Bitcoin Halving.
- *Should I hold my cards in Splinterlands?*
No, you can move it to Wax too.
- *What will be the collection worth, after some time?*
If I knew the answer to that, I would have bought Bitcoin at $1. 😊 But these will still be special cards from a special occasion.
- *What if I don’t want to buy now? Can I buy them later?*
These cards aren’t going to be available after the event. The only way it is possible to buy them later is through the peer-to-peer secondary market.
- *So, are you saying I should buy them now?*
Absolutely. Go for it. 😊
In the meantime, for the uninitiated, here is what Splinterlands is all about.
What Game is Splinterlands?
Splinterlands is a digital card game that allows you to collect, trade, battle, rent, and even earn from the cards. *The game gives Play to Earn a whole different meaning.* By now, you would know that the governance token (SPS) airdrop made millionaires out of the early adopters. It still keeps giving and remains a fun and engaging game.
To give you an idea of how lucky you can get in Splinterlands, read my story of getting cards worth $500 from buying only a few packs worth $20.
Got Cards Worth $500 from $20 Packs
And this is just a tiny number. I have witnessed people getting uber-expensive cards in their pack and selling them for as high as $6500. In fact, there is a whole Splinterlands marketplace on the Hive blockchain and now on Wax too. And now the sales of the Rebellion packs, the newest of the lot, have also started.
