The year was 2019, almost 2020. The world was hit by a viral disease which was soon to be a pandemic. WHO called it CoViD-19 which stands for Corona Virus Disease 2019. It is a new member of the dreaded family of Corona Viruses.
WHERE DID IT COME FROM?
There were several versions of its origin. Some say that it came from people who ate undercooked bats. Others say that it was created in a research laboratory by some mad scientists.
WHAT DOES IT DO?
Covid-19 attacks the immune system via respiratory tract. It feeds on weakened human cells. It attaches itself to people through infected people and begins to enter the body by way of human breathing airways and even through the eyes. It finds its way to the lungs and if the poor host can't fight it, it will slowly brick the lungs.
WHAT CAN KILL THE VIRUS?
A strong immune system kills the virus. Vaccines help only to strengthen the immune system. The host or would-be host can have a strong immune system by keeping a healthy lifestyle. Regular exercise, nutritious food consumption, enough sleep, and mostly needed is God's intervention. Yes, "faith healing" is proven already by yours truly. If God is willing, we will have a safe passage through this crisis.
WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT SITUATIONS LIKE THIS?
In most cases, based on history, God allows these things to happen when people have turned into ungodly. While some remain faithful, they are oftentimes outnumbered. Take the case of the Ancient Cities of Sodom and Gomorrah.
WHAT MUST BE DONE TO PUT AN END TO THIS?
We must all repent because nobody is perfect and we all have sinned. We must return to God and go back to His ways, meaning we must stop insisting our own way of life.
WHEN CAN WE BEGIN TO REPENT AND CHANGE OUR SINFUL WAYS?
We must repent now, while there is time. Things nowadays change very quickly. Only God is our real hope. Only God can save our lives. Of course He uses many instruments like the good doctors and healthcare workers. But God helps us most of all by means of Yahshua whom you probably know better by the Greek name Jesus.
Christ said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30
