Hello Everyone!
Assalamualaikum 🌺
How are you all?
This is Abir Hasan once again. And I'm going to publish an Article after 4days. I was a little bit busy with my study. Cause you know my exam is knocking at the door 😅 Let it go. Today I'm back with another topic. So let's start:')
Sanjeev Chandra Chattopadhyay said in his travel prose essay 'Palamau' -
'Wild people are beautiful in the forest, children are in the mother's womb'.
But in the current context of reality, just as children are insecure in their mother's lap, so are wild animals losing their evergreen forest. But this universe can survive only on the basis of the harmony and proper balance of the animal kingdom and the natural world. Therefore, in the interest of the survival of the animal kingdom and the human species, we have to sustain the environment and the natural world. And planting trees is one of the ways to improve the environment.
By environment we mean the integrated presence of the houses, trees, people, animals, plants, etc. around us. People's peace, comfort and health depend on the environment. Oxygen and carbon dioxide are essential elements for human survival, so trees or forestry are essential for our lives. Forests are under threat today due to deforestation.
Environmental crisis means imbalance of natural environment. Twenty-five percent of a country's geographical area needs to be forested. According to the Department of Forests, about 16.07 per cent of the country's total area is forest land, but in reality this rate is much lower. According to government data, under the pressure of growing population, the amount of afforestation used for building houses and cooking wood is declining day by day. People are clearing and clearing private and government owned forests for their own use without any prior permission. However, if you want to cut down trees in any private or government country, you have to take special permission from the local administration. The people or the government alone do not necessarily cut down trees. A class of dishonest government officials and bandits are cutting down trees and smuggling them for their own benefit every day.
Hair is said to be causing massive adverse reactions to our natural environment due to the above conditions. The result of the natural imbalance in the greenhouse if any. There is a deeper increase in sea level rise as the temperature in the atmosphere increases. Scientists think that tidal surges, floods, droughts, and heavy rains are all a result of deforestation. Deforestation and indiscriminate deforestation have led to a lack of oxygen in the atmosphere, and an increase in carbon dioxide poses a serious threat to the respiratory system. We are destroying the nature that is our neighbor with our own hands. Due to the disruption of the natural environment in agrarian Bangladesh, there is a disturbance in agriculture.
Although the seasons are in the previous name, there is a change in the characteristics of the six seasons. The wheat of summer, the rain of summer, the white ribbons of autumn, the senali form of hammer, the intensity of winter, the outer form of spring are no longer visible as before. The main reason for this is that forest resources have been reduced at a much faster rate than before. So nature does not boil down to the features of its previous rules. Nature is taking revenge on man for disrupting the independent movement of nature. Its severity will continue to increase in the future.
To protect from this natural disaster, the forest must be protected. At the same time, it has become urgent to take up afforestation program by planting trees in the entire unused land. Twenty-five percent or more of the land must be planted with trees. Therefore, every house yard or adjacent fallow land must be brought under afforestation. It has become a duty. Indeed, the movement to plant forest, fruit and medicinal trees on both sides of the public-private road has led us to look at the past history of our national arboriculture, as seen in Europe. In our Bangladesh too, there is a planned search for tree care. Proof of this is the word 'bug' at the end of the names of different areas of Dhaka city during the Mughal period. Originally, the British started planting trees abroad in a planned way. The remnants of their planned arboriculture can now be seen in Dhaka's Ramna, Nilkhet area, Yasher-Bangi road or in the river banks or civil line areas of Mofasbal towns. But at present, deforestation, deforestation and crop failure, as well as a lack of awareness, are making the percentage of the country's forest land declining. Meanwhile, Chinese cities have been planted with trees. Rows of trees have been created as another wall from Beijing to China as a way to resist the winds of the Gabe Desert. Again, after World War II, when the people of Japan became extremely poor, they did not even cut down trees for their much-needed needs. Schoolchildren in Europe are using tiffin money to buy parts of Latin America's "rainforest" to protect the environment. There are many such examples of tree planting.
People are totally dependent on the environment. If the existence of the environment is endangered, human life is also endangered. Therefore, in the interest of saving human life and making life safer, it is essential to preserve the environment and reforest it extensively. If necessary, strict punishment measures should be taken against those who endanger the environment. We need to ensure enrichment of the environment through the discovery of new strategies. The government must come forward to take any kind of action to make the people aware of this. Civil society is running an awareness campaign on the issue but its benefits have not spread across the country as it is capital-centric. Local philanthropists and every organization should take initiative in this regard to make the afforestation activities successful all over the country. According to the coastal region, green belt should also be created in the plains. The whole country should be covered with a green sheet.
This is a very good article. You are presenting in a very beautiful way. I agree with all the things you mentioned in your article. We should all protect the environment. Because our existence without the environment is beyond imagination.
