I sip my alcohol

I smile when some people say they take alcohol because they want to take all their worries away. They don't want to reason bad things no more, they don't want to go back to old memories.

I don't alcohol so I do not know if it truly does that, all I know is that after you finish taking the alcohol and after it washes the pain away, won't the memory/pain come back. And like I said I haven't tasted alcohol before to know how it tastes, but I don't think it will be sweet like soft drinks.

Why do people drink?

Enjoyment

There are people that take alcohol when they want to party with their friends. To them it is an enjoyment, they believe if they take alcohol moderately, i.e once in a while, it is not a bad thing. This set of people are not abusing it, and I don't think it will affect their brain compared to addicts.

To take worries away

I'll be telling a story of an old neighbor of ours who almost killed himself because he wanted to take his worries away.

They were newly Married couple. The husband had a very nice job. He was being paid well. Then suddenly he got sacked from the job( the reason is unknown).

So due to the fact that he got sacked, and he now stays with his wife in her shop. He began to drink, he will take his wife's daily income and go out to bar to get alcoholic Drinks. He will spend all the money he took on alcohol. He comes back home late at night. The wife was worried and was always praying for him. If he was asked why he drinks a lot, he would say he is using the alcohol to wash away his pains.

One day, he was coming back from home from the bar as usual. He was drunk till the extent, that he pulled off his shoes and threw them away. While still walking home he staggered and fell down in a muddy pothole in the middle of the road. Unfortunately a police car was coming through that same route. The driver didn't know someone was in the muddy pothole, so he drove through it. It was when the man shouted they knew someone was there. They stopped the car immediately and carried him into their car. They rushed him to the hospital and he was taken care of. God so good, the car only pressed his legs, so the doctor told him he wouldn't walk again. That was how he became crippled because of alcohol addiction.

"To him he was drinking because he want to take his worries away. Now see where it got him to. He became crippled. The wife was now the one taking care of him.

I believe it was due to her prayers she didn't get hitted during the whole period he drinks by him and also the reason why he didn't die of the accident."

Besides lots of products we consume day to day contains little percentage of alcohol. The essence of the alcohol is to serve as preservative. My mum is a Caterer, whenever she makes cake she add little preservative (the preservative contains alcohol).
