The UK government says about 2,988 people have been infected with cholera in the country in the past 24 hours.
Government statistics show that this is the first time such a figure has been reached since May 22.
Health Minister Matt Hancock said the main concern was the prevalence of the disease among young people.
The death toll from the Korona epidemic in Britain now stands at 41,55
Mr Hancock added that it was important for the community to play their part in preventing the epidemic, by keeping a close eye on it.
According to him, failure to take precautionary measures could lead to the elderly being living at home, many of whom are more at risk if they become infected.
However Mr Hancock defended the government's move to open primary schools, noting the impact of not opening schools on young children.
