Many states in Nigeria will reopen their schools in September 2020 despite federal authorities recommending caution

Nigerian Health Minister Osagie Ehanire said the death toll was still high, and the country's university teachers' union had warned the federal government not to open universities at this time.

However, many state secondary schools and universities have announced their return dates to start the new academic year 2020/2021.

Abuja - Federal Capital Territory

The last class in high school has been back since August 4th

No date has been set for the city to return to school until the federal government gives full permission.

Lagos

The last class in high school has been back since August 4th

Primary and secondary schools will open on September 21

State universities and September 14, 2020.

Niger

The last class in high school has been back since August 4th

The state government has not yet announced a return date for school.

Oyo

Delta

Rivers

They remaining state should open theirs also and allow only the last class should resume and finish their academy studies rather than staying at home for nothing
