Many states in Nigeria will reopen their schools in September 2020 despite federal authorities recommending caution
Nigerian Health Minister Osagie Ehanire said the death toll was still high, and the country's university teachers' union had warned the federal government not to open universities at this time.
However, many state secondary schools and universities have announced their return dates to start the new academic year 2020/2021.
