Korean movies and TV series have became very popular in recent years and have gained popularity outside of Korean audiences. We seem to be experiencing a new phenomenon called the "Korean Wave" known as "Hallyu". 2020 was the year of the resurgence of the Korean wave, which ranged from the Oscar-winning film Parasite to the new music video for BTS Korean band Dynamite, which broke the YouTube viewing record. When it comes to Korean TV series and movies, Joe Oak Kim, professor of communications at A&M Texas International University, says that "nothing happens overnight" and that "the quality of Korean dramas and movies in general has improved over time."

10- Record of Youth

The Korean series Record of Youth is a fascinating romantic series that tells the story of a young man and woman, one a hairdresser and the other a model, who rely on each other in their work. The main actors of this series are Park Soo Dam, the actor of Parasite movie, and Park Bo Gam, the actor of Reply 1988 series, which form a very interesting romantic story. The soundtrack of this series is full of the voices of Korean pop stars.

11- Burning

Burning is a critically acclaimed psychological thriller that tells the story of growing tensions between Jung-soo characters, Hae Miu Ben. After its release, Burning was critically acclaimed by critics and filmmakers alike. Leading actors in the film include Yoo-in, Lee Jong-soo and, of course, Steven Yeon, who won the Best Actor Award at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival for his role as Ben. South Korea has also selected the film as the representative of Korean cinema for the 2019 Oscars, which was also included in the final list of Oscar nominees for Best Non-English Language Film.
