H E R O E S! A Tribute to All Covid Frontline Workers. (A Poem)
Tomorrow morning when you wake up, and you see the clouds parting revealing the sun;
Close your eyes and let the morning breeze gives you bliss; let no one be too economical with the truth, for to live another day is a struggle many breakaway.
Amidst this chaos and contagion;
Such that seem to ferment men to their very core;
Like a mountaineer undaunted by the steep climb;
Others emerge gallant against this adversity, come what may.
For their favor let us, for once, be stalwart;
For their unparalleled sense of valor and potency;
For them who wears the badge of selfless service;
Let us ease their burden and be docile and compliant;
You need not the eye of a hawk nor that of a lynx to see;
That even them are worn to a frazzle they seem to falter;
That at each passing day they grow weary and weak and dying;
But still, they find renewed hope they keep going notwithstanding.
Join me then as I summon the help of the gods for their fast healing;
For their strengths and faculties to come back galloping to them;
For undeniably the world needs them like never before;
And may those who passed away find the rewards of their peerless sacrifice.
May their arsenals be furnished continously with abundant knowledge and innovations;
May their armaments suffice to save the rest of humanity;
They shall not fail nor flag, they shall go on to the edge.
They shall never surrender, they, the modern day warriors.
Frontliners, they are called; as heroes, they will be recalled.
And when this is all over, my friends, may all coming seasons be sweet to us all;
