Think about it! The same people who are afraid may mock and laugh at you! But you should be confident in your God and in the ability you have within. Don't allow others' fear and mockery stop you.
Know this, the people often laughing and ridiculing you are afraid you will succeed and be better than them. So don't listen to naysayers. Don't allow opinions of fear stop you. People don't criticise failures!
If they are laughing at you it means you have something good going!
