Personally, I don't feel it's right to hurt back anyone that has hurt you before, it's just being petty and you might even end up hurting yourself in the process. Just leave them to it but then you shouldn't give such people the chance or opportunity to hurt you ever again.
It's so painful when people hurt us especially those we'd trust and often times we'd want to show them two can play the game. One technique I have employed is I talk to whoever hurt me about it. They either apologize or persist that they are right. Either way I know just where to place such people in my life.
Although,it is not that easy, human nature will just wait to retaliate, but we just have to control it in order not to hurt ourselves. we need peace of mind. There's no need to hold on to hurt.
When we try to hurt back,it may worsen the case,it may even cause what we cannot handle.
Should I now take revenge when it is cold? Most time we need to apply wisdom,even if we are going to apply law of karma or do me I do you back,we must not let it worsen the case because we are humans,even we don't want to retaliate,nature will retaliate.
I believe things might not always go the way we want it. But if we have the spirit of love and God in us, letting go of things comes naturally. Circumstances may occur whereby someone hurts us unintentionally but couldn't help mostly because they didn't have choice. So some times we just have to expect the unexpected to happen. In that way, we won't get too hurt. It can be really hard you know. That's why we must possess d fruits of the spirit, Temperament.
Another question is Can you say sorry when you know you are not the one at fault?
I went through a lot of training to learn that . I learnt that Saying sorry won't take anything from me. If you postrate for a dwarf hundred times, it doesn't make you a dwarf! You will still stand taller than the dwarf

Keep it simple. Stay away from those people, unless you like sado machismo of course. If you accept being hurt you can not blame anyone else for it. If you feel hurt ask yourself if you are not responding over sensitive. We frequently do since we all have a past, life experiences, but it doesn't mean we feel it right. 🍀💕
