Buffet dinner on a Friday night Hello everyone! I have inactive for almost 6 to 7 hours. I wasn't able to read some article and interact because I was out again for another family bonding with my little family. Our usual bonding includes going out to the mall, play some arcades, do the grocery and last but definitely not the least eating. Who else doesn't love food? Honestly I preferred to spend more on foods than material things. Tonight, we decided to eat at a Filipino Buffet Restaurant. It has been a long time since we've done it because kids weren't allowed to go inside to dine. But now, that everything is slowly going back in place, we took the opportunity to bring them and let them enjoyed the food being serve. By the way, the name of the restaurant is Cabalen, a Filipino buffet restaurant. When we say buffet, it is a meal consisting of several dishes that the guest or diner serve themselves. In layman terms, it is called eat all you can. You can eat everything as long as your stomach can take it in.
Some buffet restaurant is quite pricey but in Cabalen you'll only have to pay 398 pesos per head or approxiamately $8 per person and you can enjoy some Filipino dishes they serve unlimited. Some of the dishes that I dig in first was the pansit puti, pork caldereta and the kare kare with the yummiest bagoong. They also served laing, which is a little spicy that is why I wasn't able to finish it. They have dinuguan and a whole lot more. My tummy was so happy and if only I could eat all of it, however my stomach is so full.
Although I enjoyed it, I am quite sad because they only serve limited foods, what I mean is that they used to serve a lot of dishes before than today. They used to have halo halo for dessert. The chocolate fountain with some mallows and other treats which the kids love is missing too. Nevertheless, I am happy because my kids are no longer picky with the foods. They eat everything they want and I guess tonight they have eaten more than what they usually eat.
We stayed for more than an hour at the restaurant. I was telling the kids that if they wanted to eat more, they can go back at the food counter and get some more. But both of them declined, even my husband who loves to eat seems satisfied with what he got. He asked for the bill and paid for it. When we check the time it was already past 8 in the evening and we needed to hurry up because we're going to the grocery before it closed. But before that, we took some photo outside the restaurant as we forgot to take some photo while inside.

That seems like a good night out. Hope you chilled. Yeah, sometimes I too like to go out to spend some quality time with my university fellows. Time just passes, the things left are only memories. What are the other dishes, you like ? Have you ever tried Biryani?
Hi! It was really a good night with my little family, since the restrictions in our country are being lifted up we can do things that we haven't done in 2 years. I love a lot of dishes from our country, and no I haven't tried Biryani, but I would love to try if given a chance:)

Hahaha! Ang secret dun sis wag ka iinom ng juice or any matamis dapat water lang para di ka agad mabusog, tapos wag ka muna mag rice dahil panigurado busog ka kaagad.

i had tried eating at cabalen a couple of times in sm seaside and sm cebu... food is good though
Madami ng kulang sis unlike dati madaming food choices ngayon mangilan ngilan na lang pero ok na din kahit papano, pag may extra budget talaga viking is good at sambokojin.

Di ko pa natry yang sa dads sis, si viking at sambokojin na nasubukan namin kasi libre isa samin hehehe! Oo kamukha ng daddy nya yun walang duda at di na kelangan ng dna test🙊😅
Hahha libre lng kasi iyon sa amin ng boss ko last time, medyo mahal din kasi doon. Oo sis kuha ang mata oh!

Hahaha! Wala na nga sis yun eh, naku paborito pa naman ng mga bata, cguro dahil almost two years na di allowed ang bata kaya tinanggal nila. Kamukha ng daddy nya yun, balat at nunal lang nakuha sakin😅

Nyahahaha tawang tawa ako sa enjoy, itanong ko nga sa partner ko 😂😂😂😂 Pero wengyaahh bakit ganern talaga. Sabi naman nila, kapag daw palagi mo inaaway asawa mo, talaga daw magmamana sa kanya. Eh nung nagbuntis ako, inaaway ko siya pagnakikita ko mukha nya. Pero pag wala naman siya hinahanap ko lalo na nung nasa school siya nagwork pa pinapauwi ko ng maaga 😂
Hahaha! Narinig ko lang sis, di ko lang sure kung totoo. Pero marami nang nagsabi sakin nyan. 🤣😅 alam mo naman satin basta maikonek lang.

Nakakamiss din magCabalen hehe puro pinoy food. Paborito ko yung crispy kangkong nila dyan hehe. A day well spent.
Oo nga sis, nilantakan ng anak ko ang crispy kangkong pero parang makunat yung breading nya ngayon unlike before pagkagat mo eh crispy talaga.
Ang sarap naman sis. For sure mabubusog ka talaga. First time ko narinig yung Cabalen sis. Lagi din kami nagba-buffet sis. Maganda diyan kinainan niyo kasi mura lang 398 per head pero sa buffet na kinakainan namin sobrang mahal sis 900 per head.
Sambokojin ba or viking sis? Super mahal ano, kumakain lang kami dun kapag may isang may birthday samin para libre😁
Sambokojin sis tyaka Four Seasons Buffet sis. Oo sis pag birthday mo free. Hindi kana kailangan mag bayad.

I have never been to buffet restaurants, they seem pretty cool. I will have to try but my small stomach doesn't like to eat more, it just want to eat lots of different dishes little little, haha.

Buffets with filipino foods are the best and the foods will be more delicious if you are with your love ones like this. You really had fun last night ate.

Sulit ang 398 pesos per head sis , and mas okay talaga kapag kumain ka sa ganyan ay yung hindi ka mapili sa pagkain para hindi masayang yung binayad mo. Anyway family bonding talaga kayu yan ang hindi mapapantayang kasiyahan ang makasama mo family mo.
True, sayang naman kung kakain ka lang ng isang dish, may secret jan mare, wag ka muna kakain ng rice ar mabubusog ka kaagad. Tapos wag ka rin iinom ng matamis dahil mabigat sa tyan dapat tubig lang para mas marami makain😁

Naku mare pinakamura pa nga yan eh, konti lang kasi tapos more on Filipino cuisine, yung ibang buffet mejo pricey pero ang daming dishes, kaya sulit na sulit. Napunta lang kami dun pag may birthday samin, libre kasi ung bday celebrant😊

Oo nga sis, puro Filipino dishes lang kasi kaya mejo mura, pero busog na busog ako sis yung dalawa kong junakis nakatatlong plato😁
Naranasan ko to nung first time ko sa Zambales.. pero di kaya ng tiyan ko haha. Pero yung halo halo noon ang sinulit ko yung ingredienta niya haha.
Masarap di ba, dapat talaga ihuhuli mo ang matamis kasi mabubusog ka kaagad tsaka wag kakain agad ng maraming rice dahil panigurado mabigat sa tiyan😆
