A crazy weekend in Philippine politics. After withdrawing her mayoralty candidacy last Friday, the president's daughter declared her VP candidacy yesterday, November 13. She's a substitute for an unknown candidate LAKAS-CMD Party fielded for the post. This prompted the withdrawal of Bato Dela Rosa's presidential candidacy who earlier said that his presidential bid is serious and not making a mockery in the election process by being substituted after. Meanwhile, Bong Go withdrew his VP candidacy as well only to join the presidential race encouraged and endorsed by President Duterte. Lastly, wait until tomorrow if President Duterte will file his VP candidacy in COMELEC to be Bong Go's running mate. If true, this would mean that the elder Duterte will race against her daughter for the VP post. God bless our country!
