I was 2 years old in 1986 when my father took me outside to a street of crowded people. He then carried me and put me on his shoulders and I saw flood of people wearing yellow, talking and cheering. I saw some kids maybe of same age as mine too. That was my memory of EDSA People Power. Now, unfolding into us is a reality of historical revisionism through misinformation, disinformation and mal-information. The 1986 People Power we had was our avenue to fight against what was wrong. Now, on a digital age, EDSA can be any social media platform where we need to fight against the wrong information being bombarded to us. It is with us now to escalate the spirit of EDSA People Power to the digital age!
