When your parents get old, love them as they age, just as they loved you when you were growing up. Let them talk, even if they are telling repeated stories, have the same patience and interest they had for you when you were little and when you were talking. Let them enjoy their friends as they used to let you. Let them enjoy talking to their grandchildren because they see you in them. Let them feel good, let them live among objects that have followed them for a long time, because they suffer when they feel that you are breaking parts of their world. Let them make mistakes, because you have made so many mistakes and they never made fun of you by correcting you. Let them live and try to make them happy on the last part of their journey. And finally, give them a hand, just like they gave you when you started taking your first steps.
