Suppose I am the owner of a credit card, what will I purchase first?
Since I am still a student, I would rather focus on things on what I need than what I want. I’ll go shopping and buy some school stuffs like – laptop and printer.
What if I am not a student, already an office worker and have small business? I will focus on things that will help my business grow, like when I decided to build a business of milk tea shops, I’ll purchase some stuffs related to appliances that will be needed like – blender and a cup sealing machine. Also, I will purchase some stuff that’ll help my shop to improve the ambiance.
What if I am already financially stable? I will now purchase a house or a car. Why would I determine my purchases on my social class? In order for me to be sure that I will pay all of the purchases I made in the credit card.
How about yours?
How will I pay for it?
I’ll pay for it by prioritizing my debts, creating my spending plan – for me to limit my spending, trim my expenses to load some free cash and will always think that I should have a good credit for me to gain the trust of the company and they will allowed me to purchased more.
Here's some advices on how to have a good credit or credit score.
I would rather pay my debt first than to satisfy my wants, Why would I? In order for me to pay my bills on time – when I did this, I will have a good credit score and means I can purchased another – If I purchased more, it helps to established my experiences or history with my credit, and also I have heard that when you purchase more, you’ll be able to get some rewards.
About mutual funds
Why mutual funds are known as the "ultimate couch potato investment?" Here's my own idea about it.
Since mutual funds are collection of investment money pooled from a lot of people where the fund manager and his/her team assistants will invest to the specific securites (stock, bonds, or money market funds) it would be most likely to be the "ultimate couch potato investment" generally because, you just have to invest and this investment program will professionally managed, all you have to do is wait and see if your investment are going well or not.
That was only "my idea" how about yours?
Here's some related about mutual funds, the open-end and close-end funds.
If I would choose between open-end funds and close-end funds,,
I would rather choose open-end funds. Why would I? Basically because it can fund issues as many shares as an investor can, meaning it can attract more investor and able to hire leading managers -- with better management talent, it would help to lessen the risky part of mutual funds, since it was professional and well-known. Open-end funds can also reduce the expenses, the better the open-end funds the lower can be charge to annual operating expense and lastly it is fee-free selling where you don't have the cost and trouble of selling your shares to another investor.
Terminologies | Capital Market
Hello guys, here's some of my "own definition" related to capital market. I hope it'll help a lot specially to financial management students.
This is only my "own understanding" therefore, search if you want to seek some answers to your questions for you to widen your knowledge.
Investment – is allocating the financial assets to generate future income.
Real Assets – are the physical or tangible assets that can be used to produce goods and services such as land, buildings, and machines.
Financial Assets – is a liquid asset, meaning it can be easily converted to cash. Financial assets claims to the income generated from the real assets, therefore as long as it derives value it is assets.
Fixed-income (debt) securities – from the word itself “fixed”-income, it is already set therefore when you promised a fix interest rate in the September year of 2020, you’ll no longer be able to change it because it is already determined by the specific formula.
Equity – also called common stock or an ownership. Equity is more riskier than debt securities because your income will only depend on performance of the firm. If the firm is successful, the value of your equity will increase and vice versa.
Derivative Securities – most likely have contracts between two or more people. It is an agreement that are determined by the other assets, whether it secure you financially or not. Since, no one knows with certainty.
Agency Problem – it is usually refers to a conflict of a company’s management and stockholders, bondholders and managers.
Asset Allocation – is allocating the assets such as stocks, bonds, real estate, commodities and such where the decision made by the investors.
Security Collection – it is the choice by the investors in which these assets will be hold.
Security Analysis – it is where the investors finding the proper value of particular securities.
Risk-return trade-off – since investing in stocks, bonds, and such aren’t predictable, it will always associated with risk; the higher the risk, the higher the return.
Passive Management – from the word itself “passive”, it is most likely without spending effort to improve investment performance.
Active Management – opposite of passive management, where you attempt to improve performance and the management style is active.
Financial Intermediaries – is an institution or investment companies such as bank, mutual fund, or insurance company; a middleman between two parties in a financial transaction like household to banks.
Investment Companies – other example of financial intermediaries and credit unions, where they pooling the resources of many small investors and be able to lend large amount to trusted borrowers.
Investment Bankers – an individual who plays an important role to the investing companies, they represent themselves to the investing public and they are primarily concerned with raising capital for corporations, entities and such.
Primary Market – all the IPO/Initial Public Offering are in this category, “primary” market meaning it is where the “new” securities are created.
Secondary Market – it is where the securities are traded by the investors.
Venture Capital – are those investors who are willing to invest in return for an ownership and most likely to invest on start-up companies.
Private Equity – is an investment and consists of capital that is not listed on a public stock exchange and composed of funds and investors that directly invest in private firms.
Securitization – it is the practice of pooling the various types of financial assets and a process by which a company choosing a financial securities to issue to investors.
Systemic Risk – is a risk of breakdown in the financial system or event that could trigger/collapse an entire industry or economy.

Investments | Thoughts
Well, there's a lot of types of investments including lending and ownership investments. If you are going to invest, what would you choose?
If I would choose where to invest, I will use the diversification strategy to reduce risk. I will place my money on different investments for me to feel secure. My specific investment options are businesses, stocks and savings account. In terms of firms, it’s either I build my own company or I will be part owner/stock, I am still seeking on what nature of business I will put up but as long as it is economic-friendly and will generate income, why not? And as long as it can deliver value to customers and will be assets to firms. Why would I choose stock? Generally because owning a stock in a company, especially when a company is in a rising state, it would be a great opportunity for the investors, since I hold stock in a company, I share company profits in the form of annual dividend. Lastly, but the most important for me is savings account, because nowadays we are living on uncertainty. There’s no certain in this world, I tend to think that we must always have a back-up plan specially when we are talking about investing our money, because you will not predict what will the stock market price will be in the future. That’s why, in investing money, you should always have high risk tolerance and you should always be ready on what will happen on the future.

Good day everyone! I would like to share some information about social studies.
I come up to this kind of article primarily because my cousin is taking Bachelor of Social Science in Secondary Education Social Studies and here's what I have gathered according to her and she have gathered to her classmates.
What is social research for you? and what social studies topic that you want to conduct as an output of this course subject?
-- Social Research is defined as the systematized analysis and investigation of things, phenomena or issues that affects the society. Since researches' primal aim is to suffice the inquiries while creating resolution, thus Social Research is for the purpose of attending and addressing the needs and conflicts within the society.
-- For me, social research is a scientific study that aims to gain knowledge and understanding about our society, on how once conduct or respond to certain scenarios, how socialization is being done, how does the society affect the behavior of each individual and so. And with that being said, I'd wish to study on a group of students, to know on how they are coping up with flexible learning; for some of them are experiencing harder or lighter situation than the others.
-- Social Research talks about different topics with regards to our society. It tackles how people study various topics in our society. By this subject, I would like to study more about Philippine cultures and how it changes from time to time. I want to know more how and why the cultures here in the Philippines changes as time goes by.

Lee Jong Suk | Appreciation
I would like to write an article about Lee Jong Suk since today is he's day. He is now 31 years old. He was born at Yongin, Gyeonggi-do Province, South Korea.
He's actually the first korean actor I'm mesmerized with. Because, he's so cute yet so handsome. Also, a real-gem and talented guy. A solid 9.
Lee Jong Suk was the youngest male model of the Seoul Collection program also he was one of the 2220 students out of 21268 who passed the entrance examination in Honkuk University. That's why I really adore him. Aside from his looks, he's really intelligent.
According to what I have gathered, He's very shy that he couldn’t even raise his hands to do a presentation in his school days. That's why, when I'm watching him today in any korean dramas, I conclude that there will always a door for improvement. I know he work hard for it to be who he is today.
He knows taekwondo and how to play the piano: and here's his statement “I learned how to play the piano, do taekwondo, draw and play baduk [Korean chess]. I somewhat liked to play the piano but I was forced to take taekwondo lessons. I once got in a car accident on the way to taekwondo and I tore my cruciate ligament. I was glad thinking that I didn’t have to go to taekwondo anymore but as soon as I was released from the hospital my father told me to go back. “

Investment and Security Market
I have prior knowledge about investments and security market which was already discussed by our former professors. An investment is an asset where you allocate your money and the main goal is to generate income and it pays off in the future. Before you invest, you should take control of your financial planning and study the stock market, because stock market is not stable as you think it is. It always depends on the economic condition, that’s why investors should have high risk tolerance.
While security market is where an investor will buy and sell stocks or transactions/trade will take place. It also depends on the economic conditions, basis on the demand and supply where prices can’t be determined.
Since, I haven't tried Philippine Stock Exhange in actual. I didn't really know how it really works, I'm still on progress on discovering or seeking for answers.
In a scale of 1-10, I should say I'm in the middle or score of 5. Because topics about investments and security market are broad and really complicated.

21 years of age. A third year college student pursuing BSBA Financial Management. I’ll be answering the most common questions which are “Where am I from?” I live at Quezon City since I was in kinder, “What do I do?” I love watching Asian drama’s which helps me to grow as a person, since the drama’s that I have watched has lots of life lessons. My strength and ability would be a patient-person kind. I have the ability to wait something out or endure something provoking and I still remain calm. I am an ambivert-person, it depends on whom I’m spend with. I am a shy type person at first but once I’m comfortable with you, you will know who I really am. My closest friends says, I am down-to-earth person and optimistic. I love doing things low-key and I also don’t like to be the center of attraction because I easily get shy. Also, some of my friends say I always have a poker face. I am still seeking on what am I good at and I’m willing to learn new things. Lastly, I am motivated person and most likely to think that there’s always a door for improvement.
My past experiences would be when I was in my teenager days, I spend a lot of money on things that I don’t even needed. I didn’t think twice before I spend as long as it fulfills my wants. That’s why I am wondering if this course was really suitable for me or not? Because even my own self can’t even budget my own money, how much more I’ll be in the financial industry. However, as I grow older, little by little. I tend to save than to spend. I have learned a lot from my teenage days.

Late Night Thoughts
I know I am not the only one who overthink specially at night.
Night is where you feel peace yet dark. Actually, my body clock was really messed up. I am wide-awake during night and sleep by day.
At night, I ended up thinking what's awaiting for me in the future. I can't explain what I feel, am I scared? am I excited? What to feel? I get too drown in the thought of my coming life.
I know, some people lose control, lose track, stuck in one place and don't even know what to do anymore.
I always trying to forecast what my future will look like, on what's awaiting ahead of me.
All these feelings suddenly faded when I start thinking about my sacrifices of my parents, I should make them proud. I know, they will always be there for me thru my ups and downs. They are my strength and my inspiration. That's why, even its hard, I always trying my best to track my paths and someday I'll be able to pays off all the sacrifices of my parents.

Online Classes | Thoughts
Well, I decided to write an article since our online classes will start tomorrow afternoon.
I am a college student, 3rd year college and a 21 year old woman who's currently studying at Rizal Technological University.
How effective online classes is? Well, I admit that online classes wouldn't be compared in face-to-face classes. Well, we don't have a choice because of covid '19. Covid '19 is the reason why schools shut across the world therefore, education has changed dramatically where teaching is undertaking on digital platforms.
Online classes are efficient, if you have access on the internet. How about those students who are not privilege? -- there are still students who still don't have gadgets even they are already old. That's why we need to help each other.
There are probably many more advantages to internet-based learning. Yes, it's flexible where students and professors set their own learning pace -- you'll be able to search easily what you don't understand about the discussions. It also, setting the availability or schedule that fits to everyone agenda.
There are also many disadvantages in online classes like if you don't have a stable internet, how will you catch up in the discussions when you are interrupted or your internet disconnected while having classes? Also, you can't monitor the students if they are really listening to the discussions or playing games.
I hope that all the professors will be considerate to those students who don't have unlimited access on the internet. I hope that students will be given a second chance to submit their paperworks even they not meet the due date.
Let's help each other out!! Still, enjoy your online classes. I know it will be hard but you can do it! Keep on striving hard for your long term goals.

Technology Generation
In todays generation 2020, we are now living on technological advances. It has benefits yet can destroy one's life.
Yes, it is indeed that technology granted us sharing our thoughts, ideas, connect to more people. However, it also led to end the face-to-face conversations.
One thing I don't like about technology is, when we're going to reunited or catch up with friends was using phones.
Also, using social media's might cause cyber bullying, spreading fake news, and such things. That's why you should be aware and vigilant. If someone's asking for help or needed someone to talk to, listen. It helps a lot. Use technology in well-mannered.
Yes, using technology helps us students to find informations and such. However, some informations in the internet aren't as accurate than the book.
As we talk about technology generation, because of covid '19, we student should do online classes, that's why I write this article. Use technology wisely and don't overuse it. I hope you'll be able to learn even we do online classes. Do your best.

Adulting
When you reach 20 years old, some says you are now in adult stage and life really begins at this stage.
For me, age is just a number. You can be responsible and grown up even you're not a 20 year old man/woman.
Adulting stage where you started to have valid identification cards, where you started to prioritize your needs and put aside your wants and started to gain work experiences. -- For me, gaining experiences would be better than gaining knowledge (but it would be great, if you have both) Just like the difference between wisdom and knowledge where wisdom is having knowledge with actions or quality of being wise.
Adulting is really hard at first, but for some reason I'll know it would be worth it. You just have to discipline yourself and set what your goal is.
I love observing people and based on what I have gathered. When adulting comes and you already have work, all your salaries goes to bills -- electric bills, rent, and such. Sometimes, you don't even get what you want.
But I know we'll get there. Just keep on fighting and believe in yourself. We have different paths to take, it'll longer than you expected but trust the process. Claim it!
Purpose in Life
Have you experienced or wondering what your purpose in life? Are you one of those people who struggling to discover your purpose in life? People are curious about it, including me.
Me, as a college student still on progress on finding what my purpose in life -- well, little by little I know I'll get there someday.
Talking about purpose in life is deep right? That is why finding your purpose in life needed deep digging to get there -- deep in a way of "This is not 'only' I am going to be, I deserve more than this" - keep on digging, exploring, seeking more to be the better version of yourself.
But as you discovering your purpose in life, don't forget taking care of yourself and the best greatest was always the change within.
Ethics | Encountering Problems
In every ethical problems we encountered there’s always two options; it’s either we choose to resolves the situation by an acceptable manner/social norms or we tend to choose doing the wrong thing but follows our moral standard. Considering that moral standard as a subjective form which implies that we take action differently in a situation hence it might right (not) to you or to others.
As we discussed the issue of “hostage-taking incident in Greenhills mall of San Juan”, I conclude that we had the same reactions/answers. Yes, we admire the bravery of a 40 year-old man Archie Paray (a former security guard) by spoken-up his grievance against his former employers. Not all people can voice out especially when we fight against higher than us. It was really indeed inspiring but not in a way of hostage-taking. We know that Mr. Paray want to convey his feelings by doing the hostage-taking thing but in ethically stated, it was wrong to do such hostage-taking thing even his intention is not to harm anybody but to speak up. But also, Mr. Paray is also a victim of unacceptable treatment of his employer, therefore we can’t blame him on what he did. But in every option that we chose to do, there will always be a corresponding consequences we might face; it might good/bad, we should still accept it because that’s the path we chose to do but also, take it as a life-lesson.
In conclusion, we can’t blame a person based on the society standard or what society tells what is right because every action or people did, there’s always a story behind it. Therefore, we should be rational before giving judgements.
In terms of other ethical problems, I have circle of friends which we’re able to discussed things that we don’t actually tell to anybody. Actually, they are all rational when it comes to taking actions and making decisions. My friend who are the kindest one, when his dad were in hospital, there are a lot of fees to be paid off. He ended-up thinking that maybe he can help by doing the wrong thing but can able to sustain expenses of hospital bills. But hopefully, he didn’t. I realized that no matter how good and rational you are, when the situation came in, you aren’t able to think rational when the things go wrong. You didn’t expect that he/she ended-up thinking wrong doings even he’s the kindest one.
In my conclusion, no matter how kindest and good you are, the pressure/struggles in life never go away. When we are in the hectic situation, sometimes we ended-up saying that “I can do it,” but as a matter of fact, before we escape to those problems we might ended-up thinking, “what should I do?”, “Is my doings acceptable?”, “I should do bad things in order to help?”, “Why I ended-up thinking the wrong way?”, these questions are typical when we encounter problems. Life will taught us that you can’t control all the situation you are in.
Self-care
Hello, everyone! I know some people experiencing or doubting their own self. We should prioritize our mental, physical, and emotional health.
Good self-care is the key to improved mood and reduced anxiety. Self-care doesn't mean you are selfish -- it is only prioritizing your own self. If you're taking care of ourself, you'll be able to take care of others too.
You might wondering or asking to your own self, how or where do I start?
Here's some tips you might want to know.
- Find your own rhythm and routine that works for you
- Create an active plan you'll be happy with
- Learn to say "no", if you don't want to do it -- don't do it. Don't ever think about what will people says. If it ain't makes you happy, it's not. Don't force yourself.
- Exercise and a healthy diet
- Get enough sleep (7-8 hours a day)
- Spend time with your loved ones
- Relax and try not to think about anything to have a peace of mind.
These are only some tips or ways in taking care of yourself. If you have any idea, just comment.
Anyways, always ask people if they're okay. It means a lot.
Lose Track
Have you ever been in the situation where you lose track of your time? Where you aren't able to determine or even aware on what you're doing. Have you experienced where you can't get your life in the right track? Where you doubt there's something wrong but you can't know what that is.
Well, I know we experienced these kind of things. Have you asking yourself, How do I get back into my life? Where you started and what that goal is.
We've been all there.. But how do I get back into my life? Well, I suggest you schedule your habits into your life. A habits that will help you to be a best version of yourself. Stick to your schedule, even in small ways. I know it's hard to manage your time but little by little, you'll make it. Have someone who expects something of you -- not in a toxic way but in a good way -- expect something means that they believe that you can and you are something capable of. Focus on what you can work with and be surrounded by people or design your environment for success.
We'll get there someday..
Mediocre Talent
Have you one of those people who have mediocre talent? Mediocrity is any point in time where you cannot attest to a thing or a person being either great, poor or average.
Are you one of those people who can sing, dance, write, draw, and such but not good enough?
Is it okay to be a mediocre person? For me, yes. Because we all know that we are still on progress. Feeling mediocre means you're growing beyond what you excel at to try new experiences. An average person doesn't mean you can't do things good, you just have to believe in yourself and strive hard.
Are you one of those people who feel not enough? Well, It's completely normal to feel like this, but dwelling on it doesn't help us reach our own beautifully unique potential. Always remember that there's always door for improvements. Be patient and work for it. Don't give up and everything that you work for will pay off.
Even you are a mediocre person, just do what makes you happy and don't listen about what other says.
You're living a happy life, which is extraordinary.
Inshort, there's nothing wrong about being a mediocre person but best effort is what matters, ultimately.

Written Letters
Are you one of those people who keeps and appreciate written letters more? Because I am. Nowadays, handwritten letters are slowly fading because of technology. That's why I am wondering "will the new generation adopt/experience this kind of thing?"
Well, I kinda appreciate handwritten letters because I am such a sentimental person. The value of handwritten letter lies within this language of time and care. Writing to someone, taking the time to craft each letter and to select an envelope. It takes a lot of time isn't it? That's why when I am receiving handwritten letters, I appreciate it a lot.
Hope the next generation will still experience this because it is one of a kind feeling.
Dream
We all know that dreaming are normal. Dream is a series of thoughts, images, and sensations occuring in a person's mind during sleep.
Some people give meaning on what they dreamed of. Some says, it's only a dream. Here's some example of interpretation of dream.
I know most of us dream about falling -- in the building and such. There is a popular myth that if you hit the ground in your dream you will die in real life. Scary isn't it? But some says, it's not really true but it's a sign that your life isn't going well.
What about dreaming naked in public? Have you ever dreamed about it? It says that you are afraid of revealing your imperfections and shortcomings.
What about dreaming being chased? Dream interpreters says that if you dream being chase you are trying to avoid something in your daily life.
Why would I write article about it? Well, I am just curious if it's related to our real life. Because I sometimes experience deja vu, feeling that I lived through the situation before --- like I dreamt about it before.
Have you ever been experience to dream someone and they actually dream about you too? Same day. The surprising is, same content. Well, I actually experienced it once. So here's the scenario.
Well, I dreamt about my classmate and in that dream we are actually together/ in a relationship. When I woke up, he chatted me and say "Hey, I dream about you!" While me "Oh? Really?" (I didn't say that I dream of him too, It's weird thou.) Then he said "In my dream, you are my girlfriend." (I'm shookt)
That is why, I am wondering what dream are supposedly mean.
Facts about Chocolate
I would like to share the facts about chocolate. Some people like sweets, including me. Therefore, I want to write article about it.
Here's what I have gathered.
Did you know that chocolate is good heart food? Several recent studies, cacao beans are full of phytonutrients, which act as antioxidants and provide additional benefits.
Antioxidants - are substances that may protect your cells against free radicals, which may play a role in heart disease, cancer and other diseases. Free radicals are molecules produced when your body breaks down food or when you're exposed to tobacco smoke or radiation.
It is good for the brain. Some studies have focused on chocolates ability to improve cognitive function.
A good food mood, I also believe that chocolate can change your mood. (It depends on the people, but for me It really works)
Chocolate contains substances that stimulate the brain in the same way cannabis does, such as anandamines, and substances that have similar effects as amphetamine, such as tyramine and phenylethylamine, according to the Darthmouth Undergraduate Journal of Science.
But too much chocolates have health risks. Chocolates is only good when it in moderation. The sugars and fats that are added to the chocolate make it high in calories, which may lead to weight gain. Furthermore, many of the protective effects of chocolate might be mitigated by overconsumption. It can also lead to diabetes.

Shs days
Hello everyone! I just want to share my experiences during my shs days. I met some people whom I've never thought will be part of my life or journey. We started as stranger, not knowing each other's secrets or the real us. That's why are squad called "The Secret Squad" but as times goes by we see each other's weaknesses, talk about things, the good and bad, and be there inspite of hectic sched and strict parents. Most importantly, we appreciate the flaws and each other. We are not the perfect squad but the love and care makes all the imperfections, arguments, issues and etc. Truly beyond blessed and grateful to have this kind of squad.
