Can you explain why it is improtant?
Sometimes when you change wallets with the same seed phrase, both wallets generate different addresses based on the derivation path. One wallet will have balance and the other will be empty. Not a good user experience.
Yes thats a heart attack waiting to happen if you lost your Ledger and restored to a software wallet.

You think you have lost your coins becuase someone found your Ledger and somehow accessed it.
Ah. Got it. But we can get the coins through a software by using the correct derivation path right?
