Just in front of our house is a ruined part of a castle. It was built in 1622 as a wedding gift for Lady Jean Alexander where our town 'Mount Alexander' takes its name after. The owner of the place where this ruin stand is not allowed to bring the wall down because it's part of the history of Castle Lane. It's nice to think that once upon a time there's a castle in front of us. Just sad that there's no photo to see what it looks like.
