the faucets I know pay out of current revenue. They do not set aside the crypto owing. As price goes up they should reduce the minimum withdrawal to keep at same fait value. Instead they put up the minimum and people give up. So they don’t have to payout. Eventually it becomes unsustainable. Project run faucets like the 2 ARK pay a set amount of crypto. As price goes up the fait value per roll also goes up. But it does avoid the problem associated with commercially run faucets.
Get in early! Glad i got into pipeflare while the games let you get FLR tokens. When they went live on ETH, it was not too big a surprise.
I think it might be a case of their stores of coins suddenly become ridiculously valuable and they cash out. 😂
