Hey Noisers! How's the Noise these days? I was idle for a while (and it seems I'll be from time to time - a lot of work lately) but I try to catch up with you! As a news bit: my macbook died ... more precisely the keyboard and trackpad stopped working. I already used a mouse instead of the trackpad, but I was so used to the multi touch ... it's still strange missing it. Anyways, I tried to fix the thing, ordered and changed the flex cable ... but turned out there is more problem with the motherboard... minor issue, but the keyboard will not work for some time... so I ordered this keyboard ... it's fun, but it seems I have to leave behind a book on the longer trips. Hm... I'll get used to it somehow, but also good to be able to write again. That said, I need to write a ton of content for my clients ... but first a quick Noise: I wish you a stunning week Noisers! >D

I could say... Apple 🙄... But I can imagine the feeling. Good you found a workaround at least.
Yup... strangely or unfortunately enough two of my most powerful laptops are in some kind of "rest"> my Asus editing powerhouse's screen is blank, So the change was scheduled around Christmas, but as I see it will be postponed to January at least. In the meantime I used this MacBook (I'm quite OK with it for the 7 years) but it seemed the video editing made the battery too hot so the flex cable for the keyboard got worn out. But I quite like this small keyboard >D

Heey man, welcome back. Glad you found a solution to your laptop things. It's annoying when your daily gadget suddenly malfunctions,I know the feeling. Noise is good, lovely people here. We also are donated some BCH from anonymous donors
Hope it's not a rough job to change the keyboard! I've changed keyboards on a number of lenovo laptops and it's not always so nice... 😄
