Valley of 9000 waterfalls! Milford Sound, Fiordland - Part 1 When driving to Milford sound the best part is exiting the homer tunnel and entering the valley of 9000 waterfalls. If you click on the first picture, you’ll see the road down below to give a sense of scale! This glacial carved valley is HUGE! I’m sorry the pictures are all quite dark, it was raining pretty hard and the clouds made it difficult, plus these were taken from a moving vehicle haha. I was also in awe and not too concerned about photos, just had my jaw dropped with the staggering scenery. Again, not my best photos but I think you can feel the immense nature! There are many of the best hikes in this region, and some ‘unknown’ ones I’ll share with you all soon :) These waterfalls were literally endless, the steep rocky faces has water pouring off everywhere! In part 2 I will share my end stop, where I stayed for a month!
