Geothermal Springs, Rotorua, NZ Part 1 :) Rotorua is in the main volcanic region here in New Zealand 🇳🇿 there are geothermal parks everywhere including this one in the city centre! You can see the steam rising up as soon as you enter Rotorua, and yes, you can smell the sulphur too! Im used to it now but some people find it quite strong. These natural springs are HOT! You can’t bathe in these ones but many locations nearby where you can :) you can see the edge where the water turns a deep blue, it’s so great to see in real life! I have some other photos of volcanic parks which I’ve posted a little before but I might dedicate a whole week to geothermal activity!:)
