Why a Camel throws People off its Back Have you ever gone camel riding, or are you thinking of going? Camel rides are one of the top-listed tourist attractions throughout the world. These even-toed animals are domisticated for byproducts such as milk, meat, and textile. Additionally, they provide a vital means of transport for passengers and cargo.  While doing rounds on social media you will likely stumble upon funny camel memes and videos. There have been situations where these beasts of burden have thrown people off their backs.  Have you ever stopped and wondered why this is the case? Turns out there are three reasons why a camel will throw you off its back. The first reason that's a bit obvious is **when it cannot bear your weight**. If you happen to weigh more than the camel can handle then be rest assured it will throw you off its back.  **Camels are clean animals**. Their use traces back to religious books such as the Bible and Quran. As such, the animal doesn't like dirty people riding on its back. So the next time you think of hopping on a camel's back, make sure you're squeaky clean. **If you are on your cycle**, camel rides are a no-no! The animal might throw you off its back or attack its owner/guide. What I came to learn is that camel owners know these rules but sometimes force the animal since they want to make money. There you have it. If you didn't know, now you know. Happy riding and a beautiful week ahead.

Things you SHOULD NOT Say #phobia What is your phobia? Or do you have any at all? Recently, I had my nieces come for a sleepover. When it was bedtime, the youngest was concerned about a dog. Somewhere in the neighborhood was a dog barking at intervals. I reassured her of safety, and she soundly fell asleep. In that instant, I remembered seeing my younger self through her fear. Nightime was a big nightmare for me because of barking dogs and meowing cats. Unlike her, I did not have anyone’s reassurance that I was safe. **Such phobias were downplayed**, and so I couldn’t tell anyone. Disrupted sleep, sweating, and panic attacks became part of my night routine. I thought the anxiety would wear off with age, but it is hasn’t. I still have dog and cat phobia. It’s a work in progress, and I will get there someday. For instance, I sleep peacefully throughout the night. What I can’t do is have a dog or cat next to me. **What you shouldn’t tell someone struggling with phobias** **Don’t be silly or that’s silly:** Try to be considerate. We are all different and with different experiences. Some of the phobias have to do with our past experiences. Instead of being judgmental or jumping to conclusions, help someone identify the source of their fear. **Your phobia is unreasonable:** There is no scale to judge which phobias are realistic or not. Approach people from a place of love and not judgment. **I will bring/throw to you a (name your phobia):** Avoid threatening people with what scares them. I’m yet to know where my phobia originated from, but I know of some threats. Growing up, I would hear parents telling their kids they will send them out to the dogs or cats if they refused to eat. There you go, those are my two cents regarding phobias. Let me hear your thoughts. Stay kind.

Why Unskilled Jobs are Booming Abroad Have you always wondered why most people do unskilled work abroad? Wonder no more. In today’s post, we will examine some of the reasons why this is the case. **Education system:** Some countries do not recognize education systems in other countries. Highly trained professionals might therefore end up doing humble jobs. It is especially so in countries that don’t acknowledge foreign qualifications. **A job is a job:** When people migrate to more developed countries, they seize the first opportunity that comes their way. Most of these are unskilled jobs, and they help individuals pay their bills, so why not! I mean, a job is a job! **Job opportunities:** Unlike developing countries, most developed ones have many jobs that do not necessarily require professional training and skills. Most of these opportunities are on various websites and digital platforms, and they are easy to come across. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VaQnImQ_Sc **Money aspect:** Humble jobs tend to pay much better than they would in an individual’s home country. For example, the amount of money that a babysitter makes in their home country might be way different in another. **Secret:** Most people who immigrate to other countries don’t mind starting with humble jobs because nobody knows them there. There is less judgment and interference. **Flexible working hours:** Let’s be honest, most people immigrate to other countries for a better life. Humble jobs are convenient as they provide flexible working hours and are a good side hustle. **Integration:** The fastest way to learn about new people, the language, and their way of life is by interacting with them at the basic level. Let’s say you regularly get house calls to clean people’s homes. Through the job, you get to learn their way of life, make friends and better your language. These are vital for anyone in a new country. Thank you for sticking to the end. I believe you have learned a thing or two.

How to make friends in 2022 Hello Dearies  If you put together kids who have never met each other they are likely to start playing and get comfortable around each other. The same cannot be said about adults. As we grow up forming great friendships is seemingly becoming a task! **1**. Because we don’t just want friends for the sake of friendship and **2.** Because friendships are an investment of time and more. **ASK:** Asking someone to be your friend can be intimidating at first, but rewarding. Do you enjoy someone’s presence and their aura? Ask them if they’d like to be your friend. If they agree, well congratulations on your new friendship. If they aren’t keen on forming a friendship, it’s okay, at least you tried. **Join MEETUP Groups:** Joining meetup groups for causes you care about is another way of gaining friends. For instance, if you enjoy cooking, a cooking group is likely to lead you to your next friend. **SOCIAL MEDIA:** We cannot underrate the role that social media is playing in our lives. Through channels like YouTube, we can easily collaborate and become friends with other content creators. If you are a blogger, you can be friends with fellow bloggers or readers engaging with your content. Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and the rest are all platforms that we can use to make friends. They give us an in-depth look into a person’s life, character, and personality. We can easily tell whether that’s someone we’d like as a friend or not. **MUTUAL FRIENDS:** Accompanying your friends to their friend’s events might just lead you to your next friend. It’s likely that you’ll become friends with your friend’s friend. **BE KIND & SMILE Always:** We cannot always be smiling, but we can be kind. Kindness is attractive and draws people to you. I know of a friend who was kind to someone with a disability on a bus ride home and to date, they are best friends. Well, these are my top 5 tips for forming friendships as an adult. How did you meet your current friends or best friend? Share in the comment section. https://youtu.be/M2O1GGRJE3U

Why do People Travel? Hello friends, Happy New month, Travel is an exciting topic. Some love it, while others either hate it, are scared, or want to explore but don’t know where to begin. Whichever group you find yourself in, the benefits of traveling are undeniable. It is one of the surest ways that humans can get exposure.  *“Why do you travel?”* https://read.cash/@so/why-do-people-travel-abf7010f#why-do-you-travel This is a common question that frequent travelers get asked. People’s urge to travel is fueled by different things. Here are some of the common reasons I have come across during my travels. **1. Leisure:** Some people mainly travel to unwind. **2. Family Tradition:** If you were born in a family where your folks regularly planned family getaways, you are likely to follow suit. Somehow that pattern becomes ingrained in your system. **3. Education:** Getting an education is likely to cause people to travel. It can be within one’s own country or abroad. **4. Work / Employment:** People are likely to travel because of job offers in different places. Though the current situation seems to limit this, there’s still some possibility. **5. Volunteerism:** Volunteer opportunities favor travelers who don’t mind spending their time helping other communities. Most volunteer projects run between six months and two years. **6.  Love  :** Laugh if you want  but some people travel because of love. I have met people who’ve crossed seas and oceans in search of love. Way to go! It can also include honeymoon and romantic getaways. **7. Medical / Cosmetic Procedures:** Some countries are known for the best or cheaper medical and cosmetic procedures. You’re therefore likely to find travelers exploring these options. **8. Spiritual Trips / Pilgrimages:** People searching for deeper spiritual meaning and understanding are likely to visit pilgrimage sites.  **9. Tourism:** There’s a group of people who mainly travel to tourist sites. Their bucketlists are usually filled with popular tourist sites across the world. **10. Content Creation:** ****YouTube**** has made it possible for content creators to crisscross the world in search of relevant content. For this reason most people continue to travel to countries they never thought they’d visit. https://www.youtube.com/ https://www.youtube.com/embed/PgXepIl_nro?feature=oembed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PgXepIl_nro

Never have I Ever... **“Never have I ever…”** is a fun way of getting to know someone. This tag has been trending for a while, and I decided to hop on it. As humans, it is quite common to have assumptions about other people. Thanks to such tags, people can clarify and give more information about themselves. Let me ask, what have you never done in the (X) number of years you’ve been alive? It’s a question I asked myself too and came up with the following points: **Never have I ever disliked a YouTube video.** I just realized that I never dislike videos. If I don’t agree with the content I simply move to something else. I honestly intend to keep it that way. 2. **Never have I ever lived alone.** In uni, I had a roommate, at home I had family members, abroad I had friends. It is only when I go for work trips that I have an entire hotel room to myself. That’s the closest I have come to living alone. 3. **Never have I ever smoked a cigarette, weed, or shisha.** First I think it is not healthy, then I have allergies and lastly, it’s something I didn’t experience in my closest circle. 4. **Never have I ever worn false lashes and nails** but maybe I will when the opportunity arises  5. **Never have I ever been to America, Oceania, and Antarctica.** I don’t mind an invite though  6. **Never have I ever traveled by sea.** I think I’ll have the worse case of seasickness lol. 7. **Never have I ever cohabited with anyone.** 8. **Never have I ever been suspended from school.** But was always sent away from the library. Why do some friends have interesting stories in the library though? 9. **Never have I ever bought myself a cell phone.** I honestly don’t know why. Someone always buys or gifts me one when I least expect it. But I have bought someone a phone. Um… this is interesting! 10. **Never have I ever missed my train, flight, or bus.** I hardly get any sleep before major travels  Let’s hear what you’ve never done. Thanks for reading #hugs

Fun Things to do in an Airport The biggest mistake I ever made was booking my flight last minute! It was six days to Christmas and most flights were fully booked. I had been in the UK for one year and didn't want to overstay my visa. Twelve months before, I had booked a one-way ticket to England. It was my first time flying out of my country, so I had no idea booking a return ticket was the cheaper option. Sigh! I ended up paying close to **₤800** for a one-way ticket. This could have been avoided if I only listened to the travel consultant. Now you know why I got myself into this situation. This was the cheapest airline, but it came at a cost. I had to stay at the airport for seven good hours. one... two... three... four... five... six... seven... a lot right? I wasn't about to get frustrated, so I figured out fun things to do during a layover. Here we go: **Planespotting -** Watching planes land and take-off is an interesting affair. Try it the next time you are stuck in an airport. **Photography -** Airports have interesting scenes that shouldn't go uncaptured.  **Hobbies -** Unless your hobby is something that can't be done in public, stopovers can be perfect for engaging in them. A lot of people read, write, vlog, or knit. I witnessed someone making a bracelet using yarn and it seemed fun. **People watching -** If you're bored and have nothing to do, just sit and observe people. It might give you your next blog post on people's behavior 😂. **Duty-free -** Stretch your legs by walking through duty-free. It's okay even if you don't have money. No one will compel you to buy anything.  **Food courts -** An Irish proverb says laughter is the brightest where food is best. Go for it! Spend some time drinking or eating your favorite food at the restaurants or food courts. **Catch up with family and friends -** Utilize the airport's wifi to catch up with your loved ones. The options are limitless. Email, WhatsApp, Snapchat, Zoom, the list is endless. **Sleep -** Catching some forty winks is not always a bad idea. Just make sure you set an alarm or ask a well-meaning person to wake you up.  Hope you had fun reading this. Have a wonderful time 🤗
