Those of you who follow me know that I adore history. I am currently reading about the Romans and I want to share part of that with you. The society of ancient Rome developed in a peasant village on the banks of the Tiber River. Over the thousands of years, the village has developed into a large city. The people of Rome were constantly striving to rule and they succeeded. In 212, all free people within the Roman Empire were granted Roman citizenship. I am a Roman citizen.
