(I was not; I was; I am not; I do not care) One of the best ways to look at life, death and existence. When a person dies, he does not feel the pain of death because he is no more and therefore does not feel anything. Therefore, as the famous Epicurus said, "death is nothing to us." When we exist, death is not; And when death exists, we are not. All feeling and consciousness ends with death and therefore there is neither pleasure nor pain in death. So the Romans were not afraid of death.
