Uhuru Peak at sunrise on the rim of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. I took this shot in 2012 on my trip up the Marangu route to the peak of this highest mountain in Africa. This view of the peak was taken from the Horombo Camp, the 2nd highest camp on the route. Two days later at sunrise I would be standing on the top looking down on Africa. #Travel

Lucky you. I climbed Kili in 2005, and didn't reach the peak. Stopped little bit under the rim of crater, because wind was too strong. And I got some stomach bug on the second day of climb, and quite ugly diarrhea for a few days, so didn't feel like pushing up. Anyway, it was great experience, and the views were great.
I would love to experience that also... someday wgen all this pandemic ends
