These are my hazelnuts that I bought last year and they were very small so I didn’t dare plant them in the field but now they have grown quite a bit, are a little over a meter tall and are now ready for planting.

As the measures of obligatory wearing of masks were abolished after more than two years, and a friend from Split came to me, we decided to go and eat at a restaurant.
I opted for pasta with mushroom sauce, prosciutto and shrimp, and a friend took for himself squid on rings sliced with french fries and a side dish of cream sauce with cucumber flavor.
As a side dish we got lettuce, sliced cabbage and tomatoes.
For drinks we took half a liter of homemade wine from the restaurant owner and mineral water.
The day is beautiful, sunny and warm, so it's great to sit outside like this and enjoy.

These are my favorite cookies from my childhood. Whenever I get these cookies I remember my late grandmother who always had them on the table and who always bought them for me.
I don't know why, but of all the cookies, these are the most special to me.
They have that nice taste of biscuits with chocolate and I like to dip them in warm milk, then the biscuit melts nicely and the chocolate stays just as nice to melt in your mouth.

Today, as every year, I made my first Easter cakes. When I kneaded them I thought it wouldn’t work, I wouldn’t feel like it and I didn’t put in enough sugar but in the end when I baked them they turned out great.
They are delicious, sweet, sugar that I put on and caramelized nicely on them.
I thought it wasn't going to be good and in the end it turned out to be the best I've done so far.
They are great to eat in the morning or during the day, but when eaten while drinking coffee, it's too good.

LEAF ON PLANTS
In just a few days I saw that I had strange leaves on some houseplants.
I took a magnifying glass and had something to see. They were attacked by aphids.
These are small insects that feed on young parts of the plant.
They occur on fruits, vegetables, flowers, but also on medicinal plants.
It is best to wash the plant under running water and treat it with a product that you can make yourself at home.
I personally use old recipes such as tomato leaves, two to three sake soak in 2-3 cups of lukewarm water and leave overnight.
The next day, strain and put in a water syringe and spray all the plants where the parasites are.
Of course, there is another even older recipe, which is egg shells that are left to dry for a few days, then ground in a coffee grinder and then sprinkled with leaves.
This is also very good for the soil itself because egg shells as we all know contain a lot of calcium and thus improves the quality of the soil.

My day today was a trip to a town called Ploce in 196 km away from my house.

Another one of my many hobbies is collecting wine.

This bottle is one of my oldest.
This wine is from 1955, so it is 67 years old.
I got it from my uncle who worked in catering for 40 years and is a big wine collector.
He got this wine and gave it to me.
Of course, care should be taken, so it stands in a special room in the house, it is insulated and the temperature is almost always the same.
Wines must of course be stored properly and rotated every three to two to three weeks so that the cork is always wet so that the wine does not spoil.
