Shots fired. Let this serve as a warning to trapos. As of this posting, they all won. Not only won, but in NBA lingo, it’s a clean sweep for Kiko, Bam in the senate race and Chel and De Lima in congress. They defied every survey. They all emerged victorious in a big way. The secret, silent majority? Gen Zs. Many of whom voted for the first time this election. Not only voted but voted strategically, with many voting for only a handful of candidates and leaving the rest blank. They gamed the system and they won. They saw the results back in 2022. And they didn’t take this one sitting down. They are tired of all the politics and the Marcos-Duterte death match. Now it’s payback time. Gen Zs are a different kind. They are not as gullible as generations before them. They are digital natives who grew up witnessing how disinformation warped the minds of their elders. They saw all the big yikes in politics. They saw that public service needed a glow-up. So this is just their first clap back. Wait ‘til 2028 when more Gen Zs reach voting age. See them slay and change the political landscape like you’ve never seen before.
