When I tell a story, I include the parts where I was wrong too. The moments I overreacted. The things I said out of anger. The times I didn’t show up as my best self. Because a story isn’t honest if it only paints you as the victim. Some people tell stories to protect their image. They remove their mistakes, soften their role, and leave out the parts that make them uncomfortable. But truth doesn’t work like that. Truth is messy. It shows everyone’s fingerprints, including mine. So when I tell a story, I tell the whole thing. The good, the bad, and the parts that don’t flatter me. And that’s our difference.
