“What about my pain?” — Boogle Yes, your pain is valid. But your actions and behavior are not. That’s what made Boogle such a painfully realistic character. Because in real life, there are people who were genuinely hurt, abandoned, betrayed, rejected, or broken by life. People carrying wounds so deep that they slowly became consumed by anger, bitterness, and resentment. And honestly, Boogle’s pain was valid. He was hurt. Rejected. Left alone with wounds that slowly turned into anger and bitterness. But pain should never become an excuse to hurt innocent people. Because no matter what happened to us, we still have a choice about the kind of person we become afterward. Some people experience pain and choose to heal. Others experience pain and make it everyone else’s problem. Some people become softer after pain. Some become cruel. Some become more understanding. Some become the reason others need healing too. At some point, our trauma stops being a justification and starts becoming our responsibility. Yes, someone may have caused us pain. But what we choose to become after that pain is what truly defines us.
