kanina may bagets na nagchat sakin sa work – nmd: hi Ms Khate, baka hindi pa po kayo nagcoffee. ililibre ko po sana kayo ng Starbucks today. ano po order nyo? ako naman na oa pero kinikilig sa chat nya* “wooooooooooooooooow! bakit mo ko ililibre?????? last day mo na ba?????? sigi pfoe barista’s drink na tall ehe wala pang sahod ah” nmd: gusto ko lang po kayo ilibre. tapos sabay may kasunod syang chat, “March 4 po yung last day ko.” kilala ko si bagets kasi ako yung nag-interview sakanya noon tapos may 3 years of experience na sya sa tax pero gusto nya daw talagang pumasok sa audit. nung iniinterview ko sya, nahirapan din talaga akong magdecide kasi hindi nya talaga masagot yung tanong ko. later on, i proceeded to endorse her for offer only because she really wanted to give it a shot while also willing to take a staff role given lack of experience. more than anything, she looked very determined to learn. lagi ko sya nakikita sa office tapos lagi lang din syang nakangiti kahit alam kong nahihirapan sya. now, she is leaving to go back to tax – and i do feel sad! but maybe i am also being reminded today that… • it is okay to take a path even when you are unsure of where it will lead • it is okay to pivot when you realize it is not quite for you and moreso – • it is okay to admit that something else actually suit you better. we do not always get it right the first time – and we are definitely allowed to change our minds later on, so long as we are doing it properly and for the right reasons. there will always be beauty in having the courage to try and just as much courage to allow ourselves to be redirected again. tysm, Nat! 🥹
