Historical Figures: Antonio Luna 4 days ago, one of the fiercest generals during the Philippine-American War was born. Some would say he's arrogant, a disciplinarian, and a hot temper that you would never mess with. Born as Antonio Narciso Luna de San Pedro y Novicio Ancheta. The youngest of the Luna Family. His brother, Juan, was a national artist (cited for his work in 1884 called *Spoliarium*), and Joaquin was a revolutionary and politician. As we celebrate his 154th…

Day 1 - I quit November 16, 2020, 4:30 pm, I left my home en route to my workplace. Rode a tricycle first to the bus stop, then rode a bus to Pasay City, Philippines. Last week on Saturday, I didn't show up at work and didn't inform my superiors what happened to me. The reason why I didn't report on a weekend? First, it is given that last Thursday our country was hit by a super typhoon that caused floods in some parts of the capital region, and even in the northern part of…

Day 2 - Freedom! November 17, 2020, 3:00 am. I surrendered my headset, my badge then cleared my locker and gathered my belongings. Before I leave the premises, I took a photo of the site and walked across the boulevard during the silent night. Another reason why I stepped down is I no longer want to get stuck on this desk job, to answer their calls and properly document their concern. I want to wander out of my own, dedicate my time to use this platform to share with you the…

Day 3 - Life after Lockdown: Makati City Before I wander off the streets, I had a delicious breakfast made by my best friend. He made omellete noodles, and the only ingredients are instant noodles and egg. What he just did is mash the noodles first then followed by the instructions provided at the back of the packaging. Then, he cracked some eggs, mixed the instant noodles on a frying pan. The result is shown in the given image above. As I was preparing to leave, we had a…

Day 4 - Terrible Rest Day After I visited Makati City, I was very tired and been walking for hours on where shall I rest within the night. What I did is I slept on the front lawn at the Cultural Center of the Philippines for an hour, what I didn't realize that I have ant bites around my lower back, maybe 2 or 3 bites. It was awful. So I need to find another place where I won't be bitten again by ants. November 19, 2020 / 12:30 am. I found an abandoned convenience store and…

Day 5 - Life after lockdown: Pasay City November 20, 2020 / 7:45 am. I was able to get some rest yesterday, and I am good to go on wandering the streets again. My next stop? The City of Pasay. Home to a few landmarks and local companies like Philippine Airlines and the Philippine National Bank. Let's start with the Manila Film Center. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manila_Film_Center Located at the southwest end of the Cultural Center of the Philippines. Constructed in 1981,…

Day 6 - I'm going home! November 21, 2020 / 8:00 am. I was able to get some rest, and as I have previously mentioned, I'll be heading home and to reflect on what will be my next course of action since I recently left the company I'm working for. To give you a recap I already visited 2 cities in the capital region, and both cities are coping up with the hustle & bustle just to endure the pandemic we face today. I rode the bus down south to Pala-Pala, Dasmariñas, Cavite. It…

Day 7 - Leave a Mark November 22, 2020 / 8:30 am. Before I start, I want to offer a minute of silence for the eternal repose of Rudy Del Rosario, also known as Coach Rudz. Rest in Jah Paradise, brother. He played for our national team as a striker during the 1991 South East Asian Games, became Captain from 1994 to 1997, then transitioned from Football to Futsal as a head coach for the Homeless World Cup, and one of the co-founders of Kaya Futbol Club. The Filipino Football…

Day 8 - I dismantled my laptop for repurposing November 23, 2020. I started my day with a simple breakfast since I was able to eat the most delicious food last Friday during my trip to Pasay City. After breakfast, I remembered this day marks the 11th year of the Maguindanao Massacre. 58 were killed and buried in a mass grave, and our country is part of the most dangerous place for journalists. Majority of the victims were members of the press that were invited to cover the…

Day 9 - Just Go! November 24, 2020. I remember when I was at my full-time job, I didn't have the time to commit myself after work on this platform since I only post every weekend and my shift starts in the evening and it ends once the sun rises. After that, I will get some shut-eye to rest and prepare for the next shift. I previously worked as a Technical Support Representative at Teleperformance under Microsoft Office (which is Microsoft 365 and Office 2019 - previously it…

Day 10 - Never Look Back November 25, 2020. As I was reading one of my previous articles, I thought of going back to this industry. Now, I'm having second thoughts, but I need to think of this a hundred times. I guess I might be overthinking right now, and hungry at that time. Before I take my lunch, I was looking at my friends list on Facebook to see if they're still active or not. Out of my curiosity, I wonder what happened with my crush back then. I'm not going to give…

Day 11 - A Football Legend & Frontman lost their lives today November 26, 2020, 6:00 am. I went outside to grab some breakfast: a few pieces of bread, palabok (rice noodles), and sopas (hot Macaroni soup). After that, my friend posted about what happened to **Diego Maradona**. Thought it was a hoax, but it is legit. Another legend was lost. So I started to read a few articles, and the football universe sent their condolences and tributes to El Diez. Day 12 - Black Friday November 27, 2020. I had a good night sleep, went outside around 8:00 am to grab some breakfast and the sky is surrounded by grey clouds. When I came back, I remember that today is Black Friday. I'm not used to purchase items on the internet and I would prefer to visit the stores, then make a purchase. https://youtu.be/uENnTz3UzLk Aside from Black Friday, I also remember a year ago, the Football match between the Philippines Vs. Myanmar during the 30th…

On this Day: Azkals U-22 stuns Malaysia U-22 After a disappointing result against the Burmese, the Azkals U-22 needs to step up their game against Malaysia so they can enter the qualifying rounds. I went to watch the match live before my shift starts on the 27th of November. I even think a hundred times about this. I decided to be late for the 1st 2 hours of my shift so I can watch the whole game, then report to work after. 29 years ago, before the half-bloods entered and…
