So Putin's plan to stop the eastern expansion of Nato is spectacularly backfiring. If he felt surrounded before its now even worse for him with both Finland and Sweden seriously considering joining Nato. Ironically Ukraine is probably less keen now as their abandonment by the west will lead them more in the direction of self sufficiency.
