#fundsimonkelly As i mentioned over the last few days I am rerunning the fund raiser for Simon as it seems to have stalled. For those who don't know Simon, a seemingly healthy 37 year old went to the doctor for what was supposed to be a relatively routine visit for a stomach upset which turned out to be stage 4 bowel cancer. His wife Kamila is a long standing friend of mine of more than 20 years and he has three teenage boys the younger two being twins They started a Go Fund Me to raise £20,000 for potentially life saving treatment but in recent weeks it has stalled which is why i am giving it another go. In October through Noise and a personal donation we sent £160 to his fund raiser. About five weeks ago the news looked as positive as it can be when a scan revealed no secondary cancers and no growth of the existing cancer, but in the week for Christmas Kamila had real scare when she woke up to find him non-responsive. He was taken to hospital and he did come round, but a new scan has revealed a new tumour in his brain. Simon remains positive and even for Christmas he got the family a kitten. The message being clear - a pet is for life and he intends to stick around. All tips from this post will go to the fund raiser and I will make one special post a day, watch for the hashtag until 31 January and after that I will pass the funds along.
