This is an email I have just sent my brother in response to him asking me if I feel safe. ___________________________________________________________- Not feeling particularly safe, but no worse than in the last 10 days since Putin first mentioned getting his nukes ready. Today the US has started deploying its Patriot Anti-Missile defence system (remember it from Gulf War I?) across Poland This is a two edged sword because while it means more protection it means more expectation. We are hoping for a military coup in Russia. Other than that it is a case of timing. - when to go. I am no doomsday preparer but I have been doing some research. the old man's place should be about as safe as anywhere in Europe and by my calculations we would probably need to survive 5-6 weeks before aid reached us from the Southern hemisphere I have looked into how to survive radiation and the likelihood of a "Threads" scenario based on current military thinking is very low as both side will want to hold back so they have some negotiation power. Do you have a safe place? Again my research seems to suggest 40 miles from a ground zero nuke site and ideally not in the way of the wind and while the weather can be a little unpredictable you can go with general patterns. Most UK weather comes off the Atlantic so I would suggest looking somewhere 40 miles west of any likely target at least.
