So here are my answers to my last TRUE / FALSE (It is a bit long but you will get some idea of the story telling style I use in my novel writing :D) 1 TRUE. This was a strange one. This gang had been bothering me for several weeks and there were two alphas and three weaker members. The three weaker ones all lived quite near me and one of them even lived about four houses from me. There was no way I could take on five, but as always the weaker ones are really vulnerable if isolated. So I am coming home from school one day and I see the two weakest ones walking together. I liked the odds, even two against one in their favour. So I ran and caught up and honestly I didn’t really want to fight them but wanted to deal with it. As I neared them I started giving them some verbal and then when they ignored me and kept going I started pushing and kicking at their bags as we went. I needed to provoke a reaction. We went down a small side street where they lived (this detail is relevant). Finally they uttered a pathetic – “leave me alone” to which I responded with a “If you are not so big and tough alone then don’t be so big and tough in the gang. I will come for you again. if you ever do." “Ok” they squirmed. ‘”Right,” I said and as I turned around to resume my walk home I saw the third member of the gang coming my way; the one who lived four houses from me. He was only coming down the street after seeing what was happening with his friends and had as much business on this street as me. He was coming for me. He was weak, but much stronger and athletic than the first two. I admire his loyalty but it was a red rag to a bull so I ran up to him and he turned away to go home. By the time I caught up with him he was already in his front garden so I shouted after him “That’s right, you run you f****** c***. Go and get mummy and daddy and they can watch me kick the f****** s*** out of you." Terrible language I know and I am shocked, but I still remember clear as day exactly what I said to him – I would never do it nowadays! His face was one of desperation as he sought to escape and he literally ran into his house. Three down two to go. The next one was where it got weird. It was the following Saturday and I was taking my dog for a walk along the river and about three hundred metres away I saw the fourth one – one of the alphas. He too was walking his dog so I figured the dogs will do what dogs do and look after themselves while I deal with him. Again I started aggressively not really wanting to hit him, but ready to if need be. He put his arms up passively and said he didn’t want any trouble, then he asked me if I knew his brother. That threw me, but as a distraction it worked. It turns out that I did. His brother was about three years younger than me and he unlike his brother went to the same school as me. He was frequently bullied and with being bullied in my background I felt sorry for him and looked out for him when I could. So I told this guy who I was looking to fight and suddenly he offered me his hand. “Why are we fighting? I should be shaking your hand. My brother told me somebody was protecting him and now I found out it was you. I should be thanking you." I couldn’t believe it but from then we were talking like best friends. About a week later I saw the fifth member, the last alpha. He was riding towards me on his bike and I readied myself to clothesline him, but when was about 10 metres away he simply smiled and said “Alright mate?” as he nodded. I guessed the others had talked to him, but I wasn’t sure who. So he was either scared of me or thought I was alright in the end. No more problem (not with that gang anyway) 2 TRUE. His name was Nick and he was about a foot (30cm) taller than me and he’d been really mean to me since I joined secondary school and he said something one day and I just snapped and I marched up to him and pumped my hand up as hard as I could vertically into his chin. His head jerked back and he stepped away. in shock and pain I didn’t follow through, which might have been a good thing. Problem solved 3) FALSE, but almost true. I had been fighting with a guy during lunch break and two dinner ladies pulled us apart. He got dragged off by the stricter one and me by another. I fought and resisted and as she struggled to contain me I had enough room to swing my leg, so I kicked her in the ass until she let go. I then ran after the boy and finished the fight, while ignoring the dinner lady who was now trying to shield him. Of course in all three cases my actions were deplorable and I am not justifying myself or my actions at all, but if bullying is allowed to thrive it will eventually drive somebody over the edge with untold consequences. The one thing I can say is that I NEVER started any aggression but after being so repressed by such bullies for several years I got to the point where I usually finished it. My experiences are a cauthionary tale
