~Lovely big pot of ragu~ Cooking a big batch of bolognese sauce aka ragu does require love and patience. Even the dollop of tomatoes puree automatically formed into a love shape. Can you see it? ❤️ I used 1kg of minced pork and 1kg of minced beef. Browned them till crackling in the pot for about 20 minutes. Followed by adding all the muscles-trained finely chopped onions, carrots and celery and stirred them up for another 10 minutes. Then adding the tomatoes puree and 4 cans of canned tomatoes. I used plums tomatoes as they are sweeter. Bring to simmer for about 2.5to 3 hours. This yields 4 portions for a family of 4. I have used up one poriton and freeze the remainder for next 3 meals in the future. Feeling satisfied to cook this and to store some for future because the boys really love pasta. And it saves me some cost too as eating a good bolognese pasta at restaurants is not cheap.

That's good for two days haha
We finished all in one day, I mean the one portion I kept for the day. And had remainder for 3 containers in freezer now. :)
I don't see you add some mixed herbs like oregano, basil and thyme. I feel more delicious and had Italian feel.😋😁
Yeap. Because the boys didn't like it, so no herbs. The husband will add by himself when heat up the sauce haha.
