My husband gives me a day off from taking care the kids, giving me freedom to have a me-time night. So here I am trying my best to finish this yummy huge plate of fried rice with 'kailan' vegetables and pork slices. Have not eaten so much rice in these few months, so I hope I can finish it. Anyway, I am enjoying my me-time. 😘😘

The other day, after basketball session, the boys got super hungry. We decided to head to nearby 'mamak' for quick dinner. We had 'roti telur', a type of flatbread, usually served with lentil curry. Super delicious because we all love mamak food. The husband went for the rice dish, he chose lamb and a cabbage. Then, we were still wanted to try their chicken satay, BBQ meat. Delicious too. Total satisfaction. They said they wanted to come back here again for their food.

Another day of 'mamak-ing' at NZ restaurant after another day of basketball session for the boys. This time, the eldest wanted to try self-pick his own food - rice, vegetables and curry fish. Look at how happy he was! He really loves curry like the parents. 😁 I also took rice with vegetables and curry fish, plus a curry squid. Yums!

I had sumptuous meal at Aunt's place again last Saturday, the sons didn't follow this time as the youngest wasn't feeling well. I always love her chicken casserole and steamed minced pork. And as usual, her mixed vegetables always loaded with generous amount of fresh prawns. After my lunch with her, she packed the food for the rest of the family. She is so so sweet.

I know I am super late to greet this. But... HAPPY NEW YEAR! 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣2️⃣ Not sure about you but to me, 2021 passed by like a blink of an eye. I didn't know what was I doing and then suddenly 2022 is here. 😂I am grateful for 2021, it was a special year with a moment of bullrun. Anyway, we had yummy dimsum to welcome 1st day of 2022. The dimsum dinner was awesome but even more awesome because we ate with a bunch of people who had walked together through thick and thin. Cheers…

We were so thrilled to have Tacobell near our area. The man and the boys especially got sp excited because they super love tacos and quedsidellas. They enjoyed so much the meal. And more Tacobell meals to come. 😍😍😍

First time visiting Ole-Ole Bali at a mall nearby me, they serve really authentic Balinese food. I ordered their mixed rice dish, called "Nasi Campur". It is a combination of Balinese grilled lemongrass prawns, squid, fish, beef rendang and sate lilit, served with their super delicious Lawar Kacang (beans salad), anchovy crackers, their sambal chilli called sambel terasi and sambal matah. Everything was well done. And we will definitely come back for more.

#11yearschallenge 😂😜 We had a great dinner with @denion to celebrate his belated birthday. My eldest and my brother were sitting in front of me and oh wow, this brought back so much memories. How they now can talk to each other like friends, buddies. When my eldest was still a baby, my brother stayed with me and they played together a lot. Another Saturday of visiting my aunt. She cooked baked chicken nuggets with cheese, fish nuggets and a fish broth soup with vegetables, fishballs and mungbean noodles. She had decorated the house abit with some red stuff. Dining table has some oranges and snacks too. We can't wait for Chinese New Year. Always a good time to catch up with her once a week. She is getting stronger and stronger.

Happy to receive these goodies for upcoming Chinese New Year. I am not sure how the culture started, but sering Chinese New Year, we have the culture of buying families and friends some CNY goodies. So, it will be like, I pass to you, you pass to me. For those who love it, they will really enjoy buying the goodies and giving them. Another season of joy-giving. 😁

Yesterday night, we had dinner at the in-laws. The in-laws' friends bought, packed and brought the food to the house. It is been awhile we go over their place to hang out. So the kids were so happy. Continue from the previous post, our dinner at in-laws. It felt like having a Chinese New Year Eve reunion dinner due to the wide spread pf varieties. I am having gyudon as my dinner tonight at a place called Khatuliswah Cafe at Kuala Lumpur. It is basically Japanese rice bowl, with thinly sliced beef cooked to tenderness, with its yummy sweet savoury sauce made od mirin and soy sauce and etc, served over rice. It usually comes with an egg and Japanese cucumbers. Very very appetizing kind of dinner. I also order a cup of hot chocolate, not too sweet and just nice to pair with my rice.
