Moderating a Channel (First Feedback) Here's a brief first impression on the introduction of Channels from a moderator point of view. It's been almost a week since the introduction of Channels. This feedback is based on my experience of moderating the channels Photography and Food. 1. Adding moderators After adding a user as a moderator we found out that they are unable to perform any actions of moderating. Probably a bug, but they can't do anything. This seems the most urgent issue to be resolved. 2. Huge interest Every day there are hundreds of new posts submitted, and many new users as well. 3. Quality Although the majority of posts are of good quality, there are many posts of extreme low quality. Who wants to see a very blurred image of half a shoe in the corner of an image? Or just blurred pixelated undefined color (supposed to be a sky). Or a tail of a cat or dog, which might or might not be sleeping... Many of these images are being rejected. Easy to do, but still takes a lot of time. 4. Plagiarism More difficult is to deal with plagiarism and outright deceit. A stolen picture from internet, with a personal story. Investigating, doubt, wanting to believe the best. It's not easy. Many images are submitted even with a watermark of the rightful owner, or from the stock photography website. Some even "borrow" pictures from fellow noisers from this very site. 5. Relevance There are submissions without any relevance to the channel. One word, "Hi", and that's it. Or an emoji.. Or some quote, or irrelevant question or a statement. No matter how fast you can do it, it all needs to be processed and executed. 6. SPAM Attempts to submit multiple posts a day, in a short period of time. Some even submit multiple times the same post. 7. It would be great if the moderator could set a limit for the number of posts per day a user can submit in a channel. Knowing that you can only post once a day, might increase the overall quality of the channel and the whole site. 8. Ban and Unban Once a user is banned, you can't unblock him again. Sometimes they sincerely admit their mistake and apologize. Nothing wrong with a second chance. But when attempting to give back their access, an error message is being displayed. A bug. 9. DM A direct messaging system would be very helpful in the process of moderation, which at the moment is not available. 10. Flags Maybe users can flag content to bring suspicious activity to the attention of moderators, in case something has slept through. 11. Time consuming Moderating a channel can be pretty much a day job. Every refresh shows a new post waiting to be moderated. It takes time and effort to keep a channel clean and neat. 12. Nice to haves - custom channel header - pinned posts - sub channels / sub categories (submenu on the side) - relevant links list (submenu on the side) - moderators rewards - advanced post ranking based on quality (likes, comments) and freshness(time since the posts has been published) These are the first impressions. Channels can contribute in improving the structure and content discoverability of the site. Reddit is a good example. It's great to see the active and innovative approach of the Noise Team in real time while building the platform. Two steps forward, one step back. Many small steps. Keep the ones in the right direction, learn from the others. Passion and patience. Would love to hear the experience of other channel moderators and users. #NoiseCash

Honestly, I don't Like much this channels. I need to wait couple of hours or maybe they deny my post, and only subscribers can see what I am writing about
Reddit did a pretty good job with channels. It's been only a few days, just the first version of it.
Such a great feed back as a moderator of a channel. For me, I pause my post to any channel as my post doesn't go live right away as subjected for moderation. Some moderators will take time to moderate your post. But your channel is fastest moderation that I experienced. I understand that this process is helping to prevent any spam. But my main concerned are my post in channel is less visibility to my subscribers. Only my subscribers that subscribed to the channel where I post can see my post. The last things are I saw less in engagement on the post in the channel. It looks like everybody just pumped the post and go.
"But my main concerned are my post in channel is less visibility to my subscribers." Channels should increase visibility, not lower it (including for user subscribers). A good point you're making, hopefully will be addressed and solved if needed.
Yes, there is a lot to do, as every time when you bring new things on the road, it´s a process of try and error, and over time and "a little help from our friends" we will rock this challenge also,I never thought it will be easy, because I know this from Steemit, Discord, Steemwiki and many other of my own business projects for more than 3 decades. Your listing is clearly stated and nailed it ! I´m happy at this time that my channel does not have such a lot of members/subscribers as your´s yet, but this I guess is because it has a very special theme and so the problems will come slowly one by one not all at once, and maybe most of your stressed or mentioned points are already solved if it comes to me ;)
The traction and the growth of this site shows that it's on to something. The foundation is firm, then it's a matter of fine tuning the details (also important), which the on going journey of every web based project.
Recently, posts with reproductions of paintings and graphics began to appear in the photography channel. How they could be passed into the channel in the pre-moderation mode is unclear to me. And even more incomprehensible is that they are awarded. I definitely need a button for messages about the presence of posts in the channel that do not correspond to the topic.
Such a button would be useful (point 10. Flags). But also care is needed to avoid throwing out the baby with the bathwater.
I am able to distinguish photography of any genre from reproductions of graphics and paintings :)
it's not always black & white Sometimes the art (painting, graphic) has been made by the poster himself. It's original art and the channel should be broad enough to encourage this kind of creativity. Sometimes the reproduction (painting, drawing, graffiti) is a part of the environment and the story.

The publication time is different and is found in different places of the feed. I'm sure you can find more duplicates. In fact, such examples can be found on hundreds of links and on many posts. The most amazing thing is that all the posts are paid for. The channel is already completely cluttered with spam.
Thanks for the examples. The first 5 links are exactly what i was referring to, it is original art created by the user. The channel can support this kind of creativity. How can the last three examples be different posts when they all have the same POST URL? Probably a temporary bug with the rendering of the page in the browser.
My first examples are not related to the art of photography. This is a completely different kind of visual art and there is already a suitable channel for this. On the second point I agree: but when I checked these posts in the feed, the publication date was displayed differently everywhere. And only after visiting the author's profile, I realized that this is one post. My apologies.
