On a trip to Laos, my friends and I stayed in Luang Prabang, the capital of the pre-1975 kingdom of the same name. This city with more than two thousand years of history is located at the confluence of two rivers, the Nam Khan and the majestic Asian Mekong, which flows through several countries.
