I used to write poems and songs, but never translated them into English. Today I'm going to try to do it, and I don't know how well I can do it... I wrote this poem in 2000 and later with my musicians we made a song out of it and recorded it, but for various reasons the album was never released. THE DANCE ON THE ROOF They waltzed in a snowy waltz. A boy and a girl with curls And they forgot everything Like there was a mystery in the dance There were people walking downstairs In a plasticine world And they shook their heads Out of cheap cardboard A boy and a girl were spinning On the edge of the neighboring roof They could have been even happier They wanted to go even higher And the sun was shining from above Reflecting in the muddy puddles And with its dazzling rays Warmed the dancing children They danced a long, long time And then they were silent Only the sun laughed Only the sky was shining
