I am sad today. Yesterday I buried a friend with whom I had traveled in Africa, I had met him more than once in Goa. He was 58 years old. Cardiac arrest, a side effect of vaccinations. Today is the birthday of my acquaintance singer Anyuta Kolkina. Her band is called "Frau Crack" and I used to give them concerts in Novosibirsk and not only. Very peculiar vocals and way of singing. The distance from my town to these mountains is 600 km. I used to go there every summer. This is Altai. The ancient mountains of Altai pictured are the roads used by caravans to China hundreds of years ago. If you follow these trails on foot, you can get through Altai to Mongolia, from there to China, then to Tibet, and from Tibet down to Nepal and then to my beloved India. This series of photos is called "Cows Love the Sea Too". The photos were taken on the beach in Goa. You can often see cows there. Sometimes they come to the tables and lick the food left by tourists when they go swimming. Very often I see people posting pictures of their food. I don't really understand the value of such pictures. But I came across something similar in my photo archive as well. Here, a watermelon. I cut it open and ate it for dinner on a spring evening in Varanasi, India, in 2018. I think the watermelon peels were eaten by city cows. Found a picture of a sleeping baby and remembered my childhood. My parents used to wrap me up in the same way and take me to kindergarten on a sledge when it was -20-30 outside, and I slept the whole way and dreamed.
