Did you know Michael Phelps has 23 gold medals? Do you think he got them by simply doing what’s easy or comfortable? Most likely not. He had to work hard and at times, be very uncomfortable. Whatever your goal is, there will be challenges, obstacles, doubters, and mistakes. These will push you to do what you are capable of doing. And with hard work, THERE ARE NO LIMITS.

A Letter from a COVID-19 survivor Dear Company, I hope you and your family are staying safe and healthy. I am writing today to thank you all for the support and prayers that you have extended to me and my wife during our confinement in the hospital. We were hospitalized on 2nd week of August 2020, due to Covid-19 with moderate to severe bilateral pneumonia. We started experiencing symptoms on and immediately isolated ourselves despite not having any known exposure to Covid. When we felt like our symptoms were getting worse and started having difficulty in breathing, we decided to seek professional help. During our 17 days stay in the hospital, there were a lot of ups and downs where we found ourselves in an incomparable position. Our doctors were closely monitoring our vital organs for possible organ failure. We were on and off of oxygen and I had to be put on Remdesivir where nights were difficult and my body felt like giving up. But through your messages of encouragement and prayers, our battle have made all the difference. To My Boss who has been there since day 1 of our hospitalization, for assisting our travel to and from the hospital, your daily messages, and thoughts of healing, please accept my sincerest gratitude. I can only imagine how much harder it would be for us without your help. A positive mental attitude helped me during those difficult days.To the Human Resources who assisted me in Health insurance and other Heath Benefits. An additional boredom to me thinking of an outcome of our hospital bills, but we didn`t pay any single centavo because of you, thank you.To those who called me, my closed colleagues and relatives, thank you for checking on me.To many others who texted me,thank you. And to those who sent us their prayers through social media which contributed a lot to our speedy recovery, thank you very much. All we could do during our darkest times was call on God. God himself came and gave us the divine intervention. He embraced us with love, grace, and mercy, and comforted our hearts. As this virus plagued our country, let our experience be a reminder to protect ourselves and our families when we can. It is not worth the regret. Everyone is different and just because you don’t have any symptoms, does not mean you don’t have it. Be cautious of the people around you because you never know how badly someone can get affected by it. Me and my wife by the grace of God were declared Covid free. We are back in our home and our health have been stabilizing slowly but surely. We could always use prayers of healing and endurance.Thank you so much for understanding. Your compassion and understanding allowed us to focus on our health. Yours truly, COVID-19 Survivor Patient #256897

Changing Vision There was a wealthy man who was bothered by severe eye illness. He consulted many doctors, but none could treat his ache. He went through a myriad of treatment procedures, but his pain persisted with more vigour. He looked and for every available solution of his pain, and approached a wise monk, renowned for treating various illnesses. The monk carefully observed his illness and offered a very unusual solution. The monk told the man to concentrate only on green colour for a few weeks and avoid any other colours. The man was desperate to get rid of the pain and was determined ready to go any extent. The rich man appointed a group of painters and purchased barrels of green paint and directed that every object, his eye was likely to fall to be painted green. After a few weeks the monk came to visit the man to follow up on the man's progress. As the monk walked towards the man's room, the appointed painter poured a bucket of green paint on the monk. The monk could see that the whole corridor and the room was painted green. As the monk inquired for the reason for painting everything green, the wealthy man said that he was only following the monk’s advice to look at only green. Hearing this, the monk laughed and said “If only you had purchased a pair of green spectacles, worth just a few dollars, You could have saved a large share of your fortune. You cannot paint the world green.” "Let is change our vision and the world will appear accordingly."

When you practice mindfulness at home or mindfulness in the workplace, you’ll be a better version of you! Your cellphone is buzzing, your work phone is ringing, and your boss asks you into his/her office. On top of that there is a pile of paperwork that screams for your attention. So what do you do? Well, if you’re like most workers in the 21st century, you “multi-task.” True multi-tasking is not possible. You heard correctly. It is physically impossible to split your attention so that you can accomplish two work tasks at the same time. This is where “mindfulness” comes in.
Staying Alive We ended 2019 that we didn’t know that year 2020 is the biggest challenges in our life, But as we were about to celebrate our New Year. Our existence, as well as everyone else’s in the world, was threatened by the COVID 19 Pandemic. To put things in perspective, we all face two challenges: (1) PHYSICAL SURVIVAL and (2) ECONOMIC SURVIVAL. PHYSICAL SURVIVAL Personally and physically, the COVID 19 virus is contagious and can be deadly. Since death is a probable consequence, we avoid this virus like the plaque, literally. Staying alive became our main preoccupation. To avoid its spread and overburdening our country's medical care capacity, Mostly the government of most of the countries decided to lockdown. During the LockDown: We stayed at home. We took vitamins, ate enough and slept for 8 hours to increase our resistance to the virus. If you have a job, we must work from home. We zoomed in and out of endless meetings to figure out what to do and finally came to a realization that we have a plan on how to avoid the virus, provide isolation facilities for those who might be infected with it and trace all those who they were in touch with. Together with the help of the government agencies, we develop our safety protocols on our home, office and others, designed our anti-Covid PPE's and facilities. ECONOMIC SURVIVAL The Lockdown froze many economies throughout the world. Many of us could not work and lost their ability to feed themselves and their families. Because of this scenario, The government stepped in to support those who lost their means of livelihood. Otherwise, there would be widespread hunger, and social unrest would ensue. In this pandemic, you are lucky if the entities that you working with did not lay off their employees and continued to pay them their salaries even if they could not work due to lockdown. Staying alive will be the focus of all of our activities. Follows the rules what the government being implemented and most important is keep safe. SURVIVE WE MUST AND SURVIVE WE WILL
2017 is my lucky year but didn't embrace it. Since I was young, I always believe in my self that the lucky number for me is number 7. Maybe because my birth month is July, birth date is 17, and the birth year is 1987. All of this ends to number 7, and I graduated in the year 2007, and immediately I look for the job so that I can help my parents, and luckily I'm hired at 7-eleven as my first job. I think there is a sign why seven always been a part of me, and I always ask my self what will be the meaning of this coincidence while I'm riding at the Jayross Lucky Seven (Public Bus Transportation in the Philippines)going back home. At the year 2017, I read some article on the internet about bitcoin, and I have no idea with it, so I try to research about it, and I think it would be possible to become cashless in the future so maybe the price of bitcoin will be higher soon and I take that opportunity as my additional income. I lend 10,000 pesos to try to buy a bitcoin. I think the value of BTC that time is 1,000 dollars. On my birthday on July 17, I try to check the value of BTC. I was amazed and surprise that the amount the I invested was going higher in 3 times, so I hold until November the value was slightly down which is not normal on that time because it was the lowest decline of value and those time also is the worst decision I made to withdraw my fund worth 70,000 pesos (7 times the investment amount). I feel devastated when I checked the value of BTC is going upwards until December turns to 19,000 to its value. I always ask my self what if I didn't withdraw it; maybe I can buy a house, maybe I can help my family from the business, etc. But all of those experiences I'm still thankful because you can't earn 70000 pesos in an instant, and maybe there is another major year luck for me. I'm waiting for the year 2027.
