Nature Photography #1 - by nyOkiZz
I went to the farm to search for insects to photograph. While I was walking around the farm fields. I saw this little insect flying around a grass flower. I guess it is trying to perched on the flower.
Turns out that this insect is a hoverfly. Hoverflies are really very elusive insect. They are always just flying around. And I rarely see them perched onto something. Getting near them is very challenging. Because one wrong slight movement could make them flew away. So you have move slowly and carefully.
Thank goodness that this hoverfly decided to perch on the flower for a moment. So I took the opportunity to get photo of it. And luckily my camera has high zooming capability. That even I was a few meters away from it. I still got a good shot of it beautifully.
Unfortunately, I only got two pictures of it. Because it landed just for a moment. Maybe just to take a look or get something inside the flower. Then after that it also flew right away and disappeared in a blink of an eye. I tried to search for it but I can't see it anymore.
Well it's okay, because I still got decent pictures of it. Just some lucky shots. Maybe nextime I will have more.
That's all for now!

We went fishing last summer.
Summer of 2021, me and my nephews went fishing at the river near our farm. But not the usual fishing method, we didn't use fishing rod or fishing nets. Instead we use a electric stunner. It's a device that has a battery and has a electric capability. This device stuns the fish to make it easier to catch with bare hands. But if you're not fast enough to grab the stunned fish the effect of the electric stunner wear off and the fish will swim away fast.
We started fishing in the morning. And we went upriver to look for the fish. While moving upriver we explore every corner of the river where there may be fish. Especially on the riverbanks, where there are many rocks and tall grasses.
We only catched the big fish and we left the small ones for them grow even more. Just like this fish we caught. Fish this size can be taken because they don't grow that much and it's their normal size. They're just native fish in this river.
The fish that we caught were put in a net bag to compile them. While we explore the river, the more fish we catches.
After half day at the river, we caught some catfish, rivershrimps, eels, carps and tilapia's. We caught enough fish to be cooked for lunch.
It was fun going fishing. And it was a nice experience doing it. This is one the things we did last summer. And I am glad to share it to you. I hope we can do it again this coming summer.
Thank you for stopping by!

Flowers on a rainy morning
Good morning everyone!
I woke up this morning and I looked out the window and saw that it misting outside. Because according to the news last night, there is a Low Pressure Area (LPA) that will cause cloudy weather. I didn't get up right away because it was nice to lie down in bed, especially when the weather is cold. So I took more time to lie down before I went out of my room. After some time I get up off my bed and went out to have some coffee.
While I was sitting outside, drinking my coffee. I saw these flowers at our backyard and they were covered water droplets. They look nice. So I grab my phone and took some pictures of them.
The effect of the mist on these flowers looks very beautiful. The water droplets looks like crystals that shines on the flowers. It was a nice thing to see this morning.
That's all for now! Good morning again. Have a nice day everyone!

Introducing myself
Hello everyone! This is my first post here in this platform. I just discover this platform because I usually spend time on the internet. When I read about this platform that you can earn by posting pictures, articles and many more. I tell myself, why don't I try it also. To show my skills in photography. Rather than just spending time on Social Media just scrolling, checking status of other people.
So let me introduce myself first. My name Federico Acio IV and I am from the Philippines. I live at Quirino Province.
It is located on the island of Luzon. It's just a small province but it is called the forest heartland of the Philippines. Because our province have many forest areas. And I am proud to be half Ilokano and half Igorot. That's the ethnicities I belong to.
I grew up here in the province and the main source of income here is farming. Since we have our own farmland, I also do farming. It's what I do during this time of pandemic. The crops we have at the farm right now are rice, corn, squash and red hot chili's.
I also do photography and I like to take photos of things around, especially in nature. Sometimes I travel to the mountainous part of our province just to unwind and relax with nature. But right now, I just stay at home to be safe. Because there is a threat of COVID-19 virus.
I will try my best to contribute and show my skills in photography here in this platform. And I hope that you will support me in my journey here on read.cash.
It's good to be here! Stay tuned for my photography works!
Godbless everyone!
