A date with my childhood best friend last Sunday. It’s been a while since we've met. We got plans in the past that never happened. Only this time after 5 or 6yrs. lols We’re best friends since kindergarten. But my family moved to Manila when I’m about to turn fifth grade, then we lost contact. Got reconnected in college, but boy, it doesn’t feel like we lost contact at all. I remember we still had the same energy, vibes and affection for each other when we talked for the first time since we left the province. And I feel glad and blessed for that. That’s the type of friendship we have. We’re not the typical that always have an update or have a meetup now and then. We seldom talk even in chat and as I mentioned, the last time we had a date was years ago. Despite that, the strong bond was still there, like we never parted ways. She even bought me souvenirs from her travels despite knowing when we would meet. So it got accumulated over the years and she handed them to me on our date. How thoughtful was that? Indeed, a friend for keeps. 🥰🧡🖤 “A strong friendship doesn’t need daily conversation and doesn’t always need togetherness. As long as the relationship lives in the heart, true friends will never part.”—Unknown.
