Riot Games move to card games - Legends of Runeterra
The Legends of Runeterra review I prepared shows how detailed and well-edited the game is. Legends of Runeterra (LoR), which came out of the closed beta, brought a new breath to card games. But how successful can it be in a market that Hearthstone is so dominated by? Is it madness or genius for Riot to release his second game in this area? Let's take a look at this with the Legends of Runeterra review.
I've been playing Hearthstone every day without interruption since the closed beta period. Although this does not put me among the game's pros, it shows the pleasure I get from card games. For this reason, I had already prepared for the Legends of Runeterra review. However, as a person who has not touched League of Legends until today, I had almost no control over the world of the game. Still, I was not afraid. I got a little bit of information from there and a little bit here and I embarked.
I had the biggest and first problem during the game installation phase. Because I could not log in to my account. I posted the issue on Riot's support, though not very quickly, and my problem was resolved. Runeterra is not just a great find for the world of card games, it's a sophisticated deck builder in its own right. Many view Legends of Runeterra as Riot's challenge to Hearthstone. However, if even a Blizzard fan like me can be quite impressed by the game, there is a reason to think. So let's move quickly to these reasons
Pros
+ Completely free
+ Rewards for plenty of games
+ Fully Turkish voice over
Cons
- Challenging meta for beginners
In LoR, your goal is to destroy your opponent's tower (Nexus). Nexus with 20 health are not so easy targets. It is impossible to attack with the shouts of Allah and Allah directly by throwing your cards. First of all, you need to have a good strategy. We see the reflections of Moba or MMORPg games here. Many different deck setups are possible. But when you look at these decks, we can see that they actually correspond to the classes in the games I mentioned. Some decks look like hunters, some like magic, and some like tank classes. With the release of the game, the newly arrived Set2 also affected the types of decks to be created. With the official launch of Legends of Runeterra, a new set of more than 120 cards and a brand new region has been added to the game. With the transition to the full version of the game, it reached 7 regions, 35 champions and more than 400 cards. I have to add quickly that LoR can be played easily with both PC and mobile devices. I generally preferred to play on mobile.
Increased Mana System
As with HS, there is a mana system that increases every turn in the game. For this reason, if you don't have a well-balanced deck or a good strategy, defeat is inevitable. Hearthstone uses a growing mana pool. You play cards according to their costs. However, when playing Hearthstone, one of the biggest problems was the increased mana problem, so our mana could be wasted because you didn't have a card to play. Lor has found a good solution to this problem: Instead of the excess mana that goes to the trash can, he throws the increased mana into the spell pool. Your magic mana stacks up to three, allowing you to cast more spells per turn without wasting your base mana pool to play. You can use the meanings here during attack or defense. It was a little difficult to get used to at first. But after getting used to it, I realized that it works very well.
LoR Deck Structure
Speaking of deck, we should also talk about the structure of the cards. In LoR, you build a deck using one of the various factions. The synergy of the cards you add to your deck is very important. These synergies directly affect your champions. For this reason, it will be appropriate to first determine your heroes for the deck you will build and then add the appropriate cards to your deck. Because some cards have their own additional features. These features also vary by region.
For example, there is a feature called Last Breath in the Shadow Isles area. The Last Breath mechanic causes a minion to trigger an effect when it dies. The Shadow Isles have most of these cards, and you get the most out of space by using the mechanics that revolve around death. The Cursed Guardian, which has a value of 1X1, creates a 4X4 Fugitive Guard when he dies. LoR has many mechanics like this that add fun to the game. That's why it is very important to have a good command of the cards.
Legends of Runeterra: the practical condition for victory
When you first start, it is useful to practice a little against the computer with the ready-made decks that the game offers you. It is very useful for both the interaction between the cards and for you to learn to use the champions more effectively. You can also open gifted cards and chests with the experience points you will gain as you gain experience here. There is no need to spend money in the game anyway. If you have enough time, you can unlock all cards and champions for free with crystals. If you don't have time, you can of course buy it. With the Lora (LoR currency) you will purchase, you can get personalization features such as game boards sold as cosmetics, mascot guards, card backs, emotes, as well as the champions in the game.
Now that our deck is ready, we can start the game. There are also plenty of support suggestions on the internet. You can also progress with ready-made decks. After choosing your deck, we start the encounter. You start the game with four cards. You try to play according to your strategy by drawing cards in each round. I have said that you will attack and defend by putting forward these cards. The most important detail to pay attention here is that you should not play every card directly because your meaning is sufficient.
Interaction between cards
One of the factors affecting the synergy between cards is also a winner. Otherwise, you can spend a very important card unnecessarily. In fact, we can call LoR a defense game rather than an attack. It's kind of like the card version of tower defense games. It always makes more sense to set up the defensive line as a priority compared to my style of play. For this reason, I proceeded with the motto "the best attack is a good defense" and I adjusted my decks accordingly. Against opponent attacks, I built it in such a way that I would collapse his defense line with spells, without losing the cards I drew as much as possible.
What did LoR SET 2 bring?
With the arrival of the new set, a new region has been added to the game. Bilgewater. As in League of Legends, the champions that dominate each region differ. Our regions are Demacia, Freljord, Ionia, Noxus, Piltover & Zaun, and Shadow Isles. According to these regions, both your cards and champions differ greatly.
We can list Bilgewater's features as follows.
Bilgewater's champions benefit from various regional sets. In addition to avoiding enemy spells, Fizz focuses on casting spells. Miss Fortune and Gangplank concentrate their efforts on attacking the enemy Nexus. Twisted Fate presents Cards of Destiny, while Nautilus lets you use fearsome sea monsters.
Fizz
**Cost: 1**
**Power: 2 [+1]**
**Health: 1 [+1]**
**Abilities:** When you cast a spell, give Fizz Elusive (Elusive) and stop all enemy spells and abilities aiming at Fizz.
**Level up:** When you cast 6+ spells, you move to the next level of Fizz.
**Post-level up ability:** When you cast a spell, give Fizz to Elusive and stop all enemy spells and abilities targeting Fizz.
**Nexus Strike:** Creates the Teeth of a Sea.
Is Legends of Runeterra worth playing?
Legends of Runeterra is a great card game. The concept, variety or art of the game makes it the best card game ever released for mobile devices. It will also engage those who love this genre as it is built on the world of League of Legends.
Let's Be the Hero of the Plague - Days Gone PC
The story of the game begins with a small section from the beginning of the virus epidemic. On the one hand, we have our brother, and on the other, our wife, who was stabbed by a small child, and we are trying to leave the city with one of the rescue helicopters. However, the helicopter can only pick up two people, and while we send our injured spouse to find support, we stay with him, not allowing our "hero" to be alone. Early in the game, even if we haven't gotten into the story yet and haven't gotten to know the characters, the introductory sequence is pretty impressive and "Halal, you're man!" I can say it was the kind of thing that made you say.
After this impressive introduction, we are going to the grouping of humanity that has adapted to the epidemic, two years later. As two bikers with our friend Boozer, we immediately find ourselves in a training session. In this part where the gameplay comes to the fore for the first time, the basic mechanics of the game and in fact the humanity that the epidemic has destroyed in people are shown. I will go through these areas superficially, but the beginning of the script goes through the intensity of feelings such as hatred and brotherhood until the development part. In this sense, as soon as he enters, he manages to convince the player how cruel the world has turned into a place and everything is now more dangerous.
However, I can say that I saw something about the story that bothered me at least. Supported by cinematics at the entrance, the story becomes faint as it progresses. Although I felt that the story was continuing somehow, I could not grasp the linear progression of the story. Thinking that the game will hide and show something, although I compiled what I learned as I progressed, there were parts that were skipped from time to time. So we somehow had two years but we know very little about our past, we slowly remember during the missions, but big question marks remain. If these little gaps are filled, the storytelling that would work perfectly falls short after a while due to tiny breaks.
There is also some confusion between the main and side missions. In other words, while we are moving towards our goal in the game, this progress suddenly branches off. Would we go north with Boozer, take care of his recovery, or try to figure out what NERO was up to? Believe me, it was very confused in the episode right after the introduction. As I progressed, I realized that these were actually complementary sections and that I had to do these too to eventually move the main task forward. Nevertheless, was there a need for such confusion? That is discussed. This branching, which some players might like, failed to catch me. While storytelling can get stronger in places and really hold the actor, it falls out of power in such a place that it can even make it difficult to understand what you are doing.
Also, another thing I don't like is that our main character lied to the people living in the camps on the right and left, and after these lies were revealed, the game left the load to us. We should have at least made a choice here. Of course, if I pay homage to the fiction of the game, they may have wanted to shed light on what kind of person our character was before we built it.
However, the main quests, side quests, loot hunts and open world activities are not presented to the player in a very descriptive way in the interface. Therefore, trying to understand what is what and associating it with the story told in a disconnected way, "Oh, this was the main task!" It takes some time to say. I should not go without specifying this.
Of course the beauty of the gameplay makes up for this disconnection
Of course, there is one more part that we should not skip in our Days Gone PC review content. No matter how disjointed and complex the story progresses, one of the admirable aspects of the game is that they have handled the gameplay mechanics very well. From the motion animations of our biker main character, to melee combat and the use of ranged weapons, Bend Studio has done this job! The toughness in the character animations, the hit feeling you feel when using melee weapons, and the finishing animations are quite satisfying. The shooting feel of the ranged guns is quite nice. If you have upgraded to the PC version but want to play the game by feeling the vibrations from the controller, that is also possible. In addition, although it is switched from console to PC, weapon controls, character controls or melee mechanics are not badly affected by this, it is quite compatible. It doesn't feel slow.
There is also a skill tree that manages to differentiate your experience as you progress in the game. I cannot say that it is very deep and detailed, but when you use your skill points in the direction you want, you can easily feel the difference it creates. The skill points you spend in melee, ranged weapons and survival branches give you the chance to reflect your own style into the game.
Other mechanics aside, I also need to open a paragraph to motor driving dynamics. Driving through the forest paths in Days Gone's magnificently designed open world is super fun! The driving dynamics of the engine and the way you feel every step of the road you are driving is truly magnificent. I can say that perhaps one of the strongest aspects of the game is these motor travels. Of course, like every good thing, it can come to an end. You need to maintain your engine regularly and check its fuel constantly. If you run out of fuel, you may need to push your engine with your feet for 1.2km as I did and take it to the nearest fuel station. Of course, another option is to have gas cans around that you can detonate with your gun or use for your engine. Luckily for me, when I ran out of fuel, there were no bins around. However, I have to say that it was a pleasure to even go downhill and go as far as possible with that acceleration without fuel. The beauty of the engine driving dynamics supports the open world of Days Gone and the gamer's sense of exploration.
If we want to stop following the story and have some fun, we will be greeted by the struggles section. Here you can test your abilities in various modes and earn credits to return stronger next time. Challenges mode, which has a credit system in itself and allows you to create a kind of "loadout" before you enter every fight, is an excellent option for players looking for action. As you progress through the story, here you can fight with herds that you could not deal with until at least a certain power level was reached. While it's nice to have such a variety, it's even better if it's well handled.
Landscapes are beautiful
"Does Days Gone, released as a PlayStation 4 exclusive game, look that good on PC in 2021?" I can hear you ask. I can say yes to that with peace of mind. Not only is the open world beautifully designed, the graphics, textures, particles and post-processing effects push today's standards. Even when we remove the power of the graphics developed with the PC port, it is possible to see that some of the scenes are a great job of section design. So a few great designers came out of Bend and said, "Let's design a beautiful view here, open up the nation." While it breathes the atmosphere of the apocalyptic and dangerous world you are in, it also makes you admire the harmony of nature.
However, it is also possible to see different climates in different parts of the map. While the area where we start the game is adorned with the views of dense forests and streams, you can see that the surroundings become dry and deserted as you move north. This sharp transition between regions does not make you feel like you are constantly traveling in the same place when you are caught up in the flow of missions. In this regard, I can say that I like the game.
Days Gone PC port was better than expected
Perhaps the most anxious point for the players will be the transition from the PlayStation 4 version to the PC version. Days Gone, which never shines as well as it should - at least for me - because it had some problems when it first came out on console, seems like it won't have this problem on PC. If we compare it to Horizon Zero Dawn's PC port, Days Gone is really smooth, it works smoothly. I kept playing until my graphics card caught fire and had neither a stutter nor a crash. Of course, since the hardware variety on the PC platform is extremely rich, the game will be presented to a larger audience when it is released, and the notification from here will provide you with more clear information on the subject. My system with AMD FX-8370e, 1050Ti and 16GB RAM ran the game quite fluently (50-60FPS) at high settings.
However, the details such as key assignments for the mouse & keyboard, the game mechanics being fed to these controls are also very good. If the game had been released for PC in the first place, perhaps this much mouse & keyboard would be compatible as the controls. In this sense, we can say that the game has passed from PS4 to PC quite smoothly. In addition, the improved graphics that come with the PC version removes some restrictions due to the hardware of the PS4 console, and the sights of Days Gone, which broke the chains, look even more impressive in the new version.
Before I forget! Nowadays, I have to congratulate the developer and publisher side, as the big game companies do not add Turkish language support to their games released in our country and start to interfere with the patches. I have to say that I was a little more sensitive about this issue, as most of the games published in our country did not show this sensitivity and this issue was mentioned a lot by the players. In addition, the translations of Days Gone are very nice, I should mention that I have not encountered an annoyingly big mistake. Still, you can see dialogs that seem strange to small people.
Since Days Gone is an open world game, it has a fairly long gameplay time. However, players should pay attention to this when calculating the price / playing time. How much do you love to explore details in the open world and hunt for side missions and loot? If the answer to this question is "I love it" for you, it means that you are waiting for a very long gaming experience. However, even if you do not want to go through the story and waste much time with side missions, an experience of at least 30-35 hours awaits you. Of course, the time may vary depending on the difficulty you play and your style of play.
Days Gone PC Review: Long story short
If I briefly summarize the titles I mentioned in the review and make a decision, the PC version of Days Gone is quite suitable for players who want to try the game on a different platform and want to start from scratch. If you don't mind trying because of technical problems, you might be less concerned about this than in Horizon Zero Dawn. Even with my average computer system I shared with you in the article, I did not experience any bugs, crashes or low performance problems. In fact, this surprised me quite a lot. In this sense, he managed to get a passing grade.
Of course, if the story comes first for you, it's a good idea to approach Days Gone with some caution. Even though I like the general story and the cinematics used in the narration, I sometimes got away from the game because the flow was unstable. Of course, this is not a firm conviction that you will have the same experience. Nevertheless, Days Gone is a production that is close to being "very good" but remains a "good game" with a story that makes you say "I wish it was better processed" and its open world waiting to be discovered and I recommend you to play it.
Swimming in the depths of despair - My review of Siege Survival: Gloria Victis
In my review of Siege Survival: Gloria Victis, I am talking about the details of the game in which we swim in the depths of desperation.
Pros
+ Very pleasant story presentation
+ He's always on the bumps
+ Visual design and interface are sweet
Cons
- Progress is so painful and slow
- The shortage of resources is more than necessary
- It can repeat in the long run
We will discuss the pros and cons of this independent game with you in my content. Developed by Black Eye Games and Fish Tank Studio, the game is published by Ravenscourt and will be released the day after you read this review. What about Siege Survival, a kind of "castle management" game with role-playing elements? Let's take a look together.
Trying to make a difference with its story and narration
While spending a day in your quiet city, the people of Islam attacked at the harvest season, slaughtered the nation, pierced your defenses and terrorized. The beginning of the story begins like this, and the rest continues with you surviving in a castle surrounded by enemies while providing resources for the last defenders. Although it basically looks like a "base management" game, there are many parameters to control and an enemy element that constantly threatens you. However, the game has different gameplay mechanics for day and night.
**System requirements**
MINIMUM:
Operating System: Windows 7 Sp. 64-bit
Processor: Intel Core i3 or AMD Athlon II X4 with at least 2,7 GHz

SUGGESTED:
Operating System: Windows 7 Sp. 64-bit
Processor: Intel Core i5 or AMD Phenom II X4 with at least 3.2 GHz
Memory: 6 GB RAM
Graphics: GeForce GTX 960, Radeon HD 7970 - at least 2GB GPU memory
DirectX: Version 11
Storage: 10 GB available space
Siege Survival: Gloria Victis has used an original technique in storytelling, which is very obviously cared for. I really liked this style of storytelling, which we can call a visual novel style. During the transitions in the game, there are visuals related to the subject on the left side of a page that is opened to you during the transitions in the game, and the story is told on the right and you are presented with choices if you need to. Although it is a difficult way to get the story to the player and feel it literally, the game manages to tell you its story and impress you with this story. As you already feel desperate with insufficient resources and a constant threat of enemies, these storytelling sequences push you further into the corner. The way you feel the effects of the elections the moment you make them is the way the game clearly says "**Be smart, or I'll get your mind**".
You feel the atmosphere of war and famine to the fullest
In the game that we started from scratch in a castle, our main goal is to provide basic living supplies to the people who live in the castle and whom we can control, and to raise equipment, food and clean drinking water for a handful of our soldiers who survived the massacre of the people of Israel. Although we started the game as two people in the castle in the first place, we can take with us the different characters we encounter while going on the night raids in the following period. Of course, we need to be careful while doing this, as every person entering the castle adds another plate to the table. In addition, when we meet these people during the night raids, we can choose between taking them to the castle or leaving them to die outside by the Ismiris.
All the people we take into the castle have their own characteristics and parameters to be followed. These come across as fatigue, hunger, thirst, illness, injuries and morale, which you can see in survival games. Believe me, every person who comes to the castle brings these parameters with them, so it becomes very difficult to control after a while. The game forces you to leave the people you encounter in its brutal world to die, rob or use them as bait.
There are production points and improvements inside the castle that we can place to support the bastion outside. Simply put, if your base came out of an enemy attack losing equipment, you will need a repair shop to repair broken or damaged items. If the soldiers are injured, you will have to set up another bench to produce medicine for them. While doing all this, you will use the resources at hand, and the improvements of all of them are also made using resources. While your resources are so scarce, which one you prioritize directly affects the course of the castle and sometimes you stay in such a place that you can do nothing but watch what is happening. If the aim of the game is to show the player sitting in front of the computer helplessness and being cornered, I can say that he has succeeded.
The nights are ours
While you are dealing with the castle's affairs during the day, there is a counter in the game that shows you how much time is left until the night. Things change a little more when this meter marks the coming of the night. There is a screen where you decide what the characters in your team will do, and here you can say to some of your characters, "You lie on the floor, you lie in bed" or "You explore enemy lines". Of course, you send some of your characters to plunder the city to provide resources for your castle. Here, the different characteristics of the characters make themselves felt more here. While some characters fight better, they can get less items in their backpack, and others can search around faster and carry more items. The game is up to you on which character you want to date. Of course, if you want, you also have the option of not going to rain that night. However, you are also responsible for what will happen the next day. If you've played This War of Mine, you can adopt the nightfall mechanic without feeling too alien. I can say that it is beautifully handled and always keeps you on your toes when going out at night.
The night raids are based on secrecy, and by walking around, you collect the supplies the camp needs as much as your backpack inventory allows. The game does not compare you to any enemy in the first few lootings, but as you discover new regions, you can come across patrols around. While these can be hiding at certain points, you also have the option to fight if you want to risk your character and the loot on it. Nevertheless, my humble advice is to hide from the people of Ismiri as much as possible. I fought, I got my share. I killed one of the Ismian guards and the next day the patrols increased many times over, I could not loot or anything. The next morning they attacked the castle, and I could not equip the soldiers. I started rolling down hill overnight, you can tell. This shows that the game actually changes its general structure with your decisions and underlines that you pay attention to your every move. The developer did a good job on this.
Speaking of the ready-made day and night cycle, I should also mention this. Siege Survival: There is no registration option left at the player's preference at Gloria Victis, and you have to be on the morning of that night to register the game. If you finish the day and exit the game before starting the next day, your progress on that day will be lost. This is also quite annoying.
Interface, graphics and visual design are good
The user interface in the game directly affects the game experience, so I should mention here. Siege Survival: Gloria Victis is a player-friendly production in terms of both the color panel adopted by the game and the simple and understandable interface. You can understand what the game wants from you and you can quickly start working on how to do it. The current situation in your castle immediately appears on the interface and you can see some things before it is too late.
However, I should also mention that there is Turkish language support in the game. The translations are quite good and it makes the narration even more impressive, especially in the story part. Although it is an independent production, I must say that I appreciate the developer for working for the Turkish language and being presented to the players.
Technically it works like a clock
As I mentioned before, although it is an independent production, Siege Survival: Gloria Victis is technically a game that works like a clock. I did not encounter any problems even when I pushed the limits and said "If only there is a bug here" and I did my best to make the game crash. Considering that the games of the big game companies - which is not fair to compare - are full of errors, we can say that Siege Survival got a passing grade in this sense. This part won't have any effect on the scoring, because that's what it should be but I wanted you to know anyway.
Siege Survival: The Salts of Gloria Victis
Although the game in general creates a "not bad" atmosphere for me, in some places I am so bored and overwhelmed that I cannot describe it. Yes, we are stuck in a castle surrounded by enemies on all sides and we are experiencing a shortage of resources. I can accept that. But some unpleasant things, like it takes the player so hard for a shovel and that paddle disappears after a single use, is really overwhelming. In our pen, where resources come with a spoon and go with a bucket, the game is no longer a game with the abundance of parameters we have to deal with. After a while, you cannot stand the people in the castle to be hungry and your base constantly demanding food and water from you. Especially if they are injured and sick, you are in great trouble.
You feel that you are progressing as you produce new resources, benches, and items, but sometimes this is so slow that you cannot get rid of the feeling that you have been counting for a long time. The unpleasant restriction is that you can only send one person to night loot. The slower your progress, the more pain you have in this process. Of course, I could not expect such a game to be easy, but the depression it brought me into resulted in my sessions always being short. I, who usually play such games for 3-4 hours in a single sitting, could not perform this performance for Siege Survival: Gloria Victis. In the long run, gameplay falls on a lot of repetitions until you feel progress, which can be annoying.
Long story short
Siege Survival: Gloria Victis has been a quite seamless and original game with storytelling compared to an independent production. Although it gets a passing grade in this sense with its visual quality, comprehensibility of the interface and Turkish language support, it is not a game for everyone with its structure and very slow progress. If you love this genre and love to find yourself in brain-burning calculations, you might be given a shot. But if fast-paced games appeal to you more than others, think more about this game and research gameplay videos if possible. This is all I have to tell you about Siege Survival: Gloria Victis, hope to see you again in another review, stay with love and play.
We Are In Novel And Adventure - Famicon Detective Club
Combining graphic novels and adventure genres, Famicom Detective Club has the potential to reveal the young detective within us.
Famicon Detective Club is the last member of the rush of remake games that we are used to lately. What distinguishes this game from other remakes is that it was published in 1988 for Famicom or NES systems as it is known in the west, not a game that came out 5-10 years ago like most remakes. Famicon Detective Club, which has been published on NES consoles where we are familiar with clone versions called "ateri" in our country, comes to Nintendo Switch with two different games that have not been published in the west before.
The first game of the series, The Missing Heir, was released 33 years ago, and the second, The Girl Who Stands Behind, was released 32 years ago. Considering the age and the consoles it has been released, we naturally expect improvements beyond the point to say "we renewed and published the graphics". Let's examine the games that combine adventure with the visual novel genre, which are not very popular in our country (even in most countries in the west).
Pros
+ A 33-year-old game successfully adapted to the present
+ Graphics and animations
+ Musics
+ Sometimes scary stories
+ All characters are voiced
Cons
- Silly puzzles that put the player in a deadlock
- Old style gameplay problems continue in the new generation
- Prices are a little high
Two Games in One Review
We have two different games under the name of Famicon Detective Club. The first of these games is The Missing Heir, which could not be played in any way outside of Japan before. We are trying to solve the mysterious death of a rich woman, The Missing Heir, the first game of the series. Another mystery is who we are. At the beginning of the game, we lie on the edge of an ocean and we don't remember anything because of memory loss.
We determine the name of our main character. We soon learn that we are a young detective working for the Utsugi Detective Agency and that we came here about the murder. Together with Ayumi from the same agency, we are trying to find out about the murder and why we lost our memory. In the meantime, we should not forget that there is a rumor in the village that the dead have come back to life and killed everyone who tried to harm the Ayashiro family. There is a gripping crime story in which we will trace the links between rumors and murder and uncover the secret behind the Ayashiro family.
The Missing Heir is the first game of the series and a game that has not even had fan translations before. So it offers a completely new story for western players who don't speak Japanese.
Next is the second game, The Girl Who Stands Behind. The second game of the series, The Girl Who Stands Behind, predates the first game chronologically. In the first game, we investigate how we joined the agency we worked for and in the game, which examines the first file we received, we investigate the death of a high school student whose body was found on a waterfront.
The clues we received with the help of a close friend of the deceased girl lead us to the girl's school and to the ghost story "The Girl Standing Behind You". As far as we have learned, the deceased girl and her friend are doing small-scale research as a club activity, and the last issue of interest to the deceased girl is the mentioned ghost story. We are working with the girl's close friend and trying to reveal the events by going down to the origin of the ghost story and successfully complete our first case.
Both games are great in terms of story. The first scenarios of Yoshio Sakamoto, who is especially known for his Metroid series, appear in these games. The plays inspired by the films of the famous Italian horror film director Dario Argento are also seen by Sakamato as a turning point. Although there are detective stories in both plays, the main inspiration of the games has always been Argento's horror movies.
Although there are supernatural elements in both stories, we are experiencing well-written successful detective stories. Although The Girl Who Stands Behind was more interesting to me in terms of the story, I enjoyed both games. A good job has already been done on the most important aspect of the genre, the story.
Those who have played a lot of games in this genre may expect the story to get a little more branched, but the game is already one of the oldest of its kind. He tells the story he wants to tell without dealing with very unusual subjects. The characters are not different, interesting characters, each of which stands out with a different feature, as in the visual novels I am used to, but consist of people we can encounter in daily life.
Time to Do Research to Solve Events
Both of the Famicom Detective Club games are visual novel / adventure games. If you are not familiar with the genre, let me tell you right from the start, you will read a lot of text. If you've played games like Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Danganronpa and Steins; Gate before, you won't be unfamiliar with this game.
In the game, there are dialogue sections where we question suspects and advance the story, as well as research sections similar to the Ace Attorney series. In these parts where we can investigate the environment and interact with objects and people, we can identify important points and collect research-related items. This part looks like the Ace Attorney series. When the subject is deadlocked with the person you are talking to, you may need to investigate the environment and make the necessary interaction.
When there is a new action that we can do in the game, the option is written in yellow and it draws our attention. Standard options are in white. What we can do are options such as interacting with the environment, talking to people nearby, calling out to the person to talk to, and thinking to himself. Sometimes we get stuck here so we can't figure out what to do. I had similar stutters in the Phoenix Wright series before, but it is a situation that happens a lot in the Famicom Detective Series games.
I talk to the witness, I choose all possible options, I examine the area, I think I get every possible reaction, but the story does not progress. In this case, there is no solution but to try all the options you have, over and over, and say, "Wait, somebody will work for sure." I realize that a conversation option that I think is repeating itself actually continues the story with one-sentence conversations. The fact that he sets up sentences one by one about the subject we choose each time causes me to think that the topic is over and try to try other options. I must say that the "thinking" option (referred to as "remembering" in The Missing Heir), which the character should give us a clue, was very unsuccessful.
I would like to mention a point where I stuck in order to clarify the subject. At some point in The Missing Heir scenario, the other person has something to tell you, and you have to scare it to get it from him. The solution is to scare the other person with another character who was not around at the time. There is an option to call out in the game and you can switch to that character by calling someone else nearby. What you need to do is call out to the character who is not there many times and make the other person afraid. While I was bored and trying the same options over and over, I found it completely by chance. Since the game was not released yet, I had no chance to look at the exact solution, I would probably solve it with the full solution.
The game locks you at some point from time to time, but it is possible to get rid of this impasse with a little attention and a little trial and error method. The research parts are pleasant, but the speed of the cursor was sometimes very slow to me. It also has an effect that I got used to quickly navigating around with a mouse at the computer. I would like to take advantage of the touch screen feature when I play by hand.
As a result, the gameplay is pretty good by visual novel standards. The trial and error parts are sometimes annoying, in these cases it is good to say "let me take a break and come". It is not a fluid action game anyway, it is necessary to approach it like a book you read whenever you find it. But I wish they had used the coloring system that would direct them to new dialogues instead of struggling with "which one will hold" among a lot of options. At least in a region, it is not possible for you to go to different regions until you are done, you can reach a solution quickly by knowing that what you can do is only in one region.
Brand New Visual and Audio Experiences
It was not surprising to see serious improvements in terms of sound and graphics in the remake of a game released in 1988. Famicom Detective Series games are made by MAGES, known for their successful works in the visual novel genre. The original producer TOSE is also said to have some support.
The game looks very good visually. The environments of the eighties are very well drawn, the characters look very nice, we do not encounter a problem like character models grinning on a lower quality background that we encounter in some games. In addition, character animations have been successfully made. MAGES, who had previously been behind quality works such as Steins, Gate and Corpse Party, was a very good choice for a highly anticipated remake by fans of the genre.
All dialogues were voiced in both plays. As someone who is accustomed to the "dumb" sounds that come in place of speaking voices, it makes me happy to hear real people speak in visual novels. The voiceover was made only in Japanese, but as you can imagine, it didn't bother me at all. The music is orchestrally re-recorded and complements the atmosphere beautifully. You also have the option of playing the game's original music if you want. It's a nice detail, but the new music is pretty good.
The Missing Heir never appeared in the west in any way, but the SNES version of The Girl Who Stands Behind met with the western actors with translations made by fans. Since I haven't played the game in any way before, I have no idea how good the translation is. But in general, I can say that the translations in the game are done well. However, I still do not understand why the "recording" option in the game is under "Quit Investigation". Since I didn't want to quit without saving the game, I never used it for a while and the save option.
Result
The two plays released under the name of Famicom Detective Club, The Missing Heir and The Girl Who Stands Behind, were released in Japan in the eighties and officially came to the west for the first time. This game may seem a bit lame, as there has been a lot of development in the story over the past 30 years, but this does not mean that the story is unsuccessful. Two interesting and immersive detective adventures await you. However, I have to remind you that the game is a visual novel. It's a genre that includes lots of reading and doesn't have the kind of action you're used to. I will not put a minus like "There is too much dialogue" but if you are one of the people who pass even the intermediate scenes quickly, this game is not for you.
Both games have an average play time of 10 hours. The stories are linear and there is no option to interfere with events and reach different endings. Since there are no different endings brought by different actions, it is not replayable.
The Game I've Been Waiting For - Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Wrath of the Druids
The AC series are the last two games, with more RPG elements than ever before. We've already seen the best example of this in Assasin's Creed: Valhalla. Ubisoft will be pleased with the progress that has announced two expansion packages for Valhalla. We said let's take a look at Wrath of the Druids, the first of these expansion packs for you. Let's take a look at this review package, which has been postponed in advance and has a planned release date of 13 May.
Released in the last quarter of 2020, it was a game that needed a bit of polish when first presented to players. Ubisoft will also be aware of this that it continues to bring updates for the game regularly. Currently the most recent update for the game is 1.2.1 update. Since I played the first version of the game when I examined the main game, let me try to briefly explain the differences between you. The first thing that caught my eye as soon as I hit the game was performance improvements. When I first reviewed the main game, many of my settings had occasional freezes and hangs even when it was low, but when I entered the Expansion pack I rarely experienced these hangs and freezes. Moreover, I made my review on medium settings. Another thing that strikes me is that NPCs are a little smarter. NPCs still make mistakes of their own right, but they are not as glaring as before.
First of all, I have to mention that if you have played Assasin's Creed Valhalla like me before and lost the recording files somehow, you have to work a little bit to get the Wrath of the Druids expansion pack. First, you have to play the beginning part of the game and reach the lands of England. You are then told to open a trade route through Ledecestrescire territory. To make that way, you have to fulfill a few tasks that are given to you. Although it sounds simple, it requires a bit of work. But Wrath of the Druids is an expansion, after all. That is, it can be defined as additional content for people who have finished the game or are at least close to finishing it. So I don't think there is a need to complain about this issue much. Let's take a look at what awaits us in Ireland now.
Once we fulfill the prerequisites for the expansion package, a new task appears on the map. The quest is called Wrath of the Druids, so it's hard to overlook. When we look at the content of the task, we learn that a merchant from Ireland has come to our land and we stop by. We learn that the name of this merchant is Azar. After a quick conversation with him, he asks for our help. Our Eivor character, which is hard like stone on the outside but soft like cotton on the inside, immediately accepts the task. Our mission is to destroy the points of the merchants who are the rivals of Azar. After clearing the enemies, we set the fire to the fire. We go back to Azar with white foreheads and high heads.
After fulfilling Azar's wish, he thanked us. What shall we say? We say thank you. Then he asks if we want to come to Ireland. It is difficult to get away from the country, at first we hurt, of course. But then Azar makes us even more curious. It talks about a king and new places to discover there. We agree to go to Ireland as a result of some effort and we jump into our boat. By having a conversation, the paddles are being taken and after a while you realize that the place has really changed and you have moved on to the Wrath of the Druids expansion pack.
When we get off our boat, Azar gives us a letter. In the letter, we learn that the Dublin king was actually our cousin. He also appears right after this incident. After touring the city for a while, we rest a little. However, the fortune of our eivorum is closed. Before two more minutes of breathing, a new event occurs. There is an argument between our cousin Barid and his son, who is also the King of Dublin. Our cousin withdraws, and we want his son to calm down. However, we find the solution with violence as usual, unfortunately. After a little fight, we're going to find Barid. However, before I go, I want to raise a complaint here. The game tells us that Barid is next to the big tree on the hill and does not give a precise position. However, it is useful to remind once again how difficult this task is for someone who is just getting used to the map. Because I had to search, even if not for a long time, to find the station. I found Barid after a hard process of about 15 minutes. In this way, let's take a look at the size of the map and what awaits us on the map without going deeper.
Pros
+ A brand new world and atmosphere
+ A wide area to explore
+ New items and weapons
+ A new challenge for those who finished the main game
+ Those who love the main game will also love the expansion pack.
Cons
- Not much different from the main game
- Repetitive task structure
- As a story it is very detached from the main script
When I look at the map of Ireland, I have to say that it is slightly above my expectation in terms of size. As a matter of fact, it is slightly smaller in area than Norway and England. Still, I think it is of an acceptable size. Again, there are tons of places to explore. If you wish, you can turn Ireland upside down and collect items worth collecting everywhere. Just like the first two maps. But let me also mention this; Unfortunately, there are no major innovations to distinguish it from the main game, in the expansion pack. However, Wrath of the Druids will satisfy you if you are satisfied with the exploring and leveling mechanics by traveling and looting in the main game. But if you say, "I want to see different gameplay mechanics now, why should I buy it if I am going to repeat the same things?". Then I can't say that this expansion pack is for you. Because 95% of the mechanics currently in the main game are also in the expansion pack. In short, you can think of this expansion pack as a new playground for you.
What is offered to us about the tasks?
Frankly, I have to state that I am not satisfied with the tasks. Because nothing has been added to the main game in terms of diversity. While playing the expansion pack, there were times when I thought "I have done this mission before". And unfortunately, the missions in the Wrath of the Druids expansion pack didn't appeal to me either, as I currently don't like Assasin's Creed Valhalla's mission system. But this is a subjective opinion, after all. If you like exploration missions, going around and killing missions, then consider Wrath of the Druids.
Is Wrath of the Druids an expansion pack worth buying?
This is a personal decision, if you ask me. Because it all depends on what the player wants. Consequently, when the producer company says that we are delaying the release date of the expansion package to offer the best content to the player, people inevitably increase their expectations. However, if you like the main game, there is nothing negative for you. A new world to be discovered awaits you. But if your expectations are in slightly different directions, like me, Wrath of the Druids may not give you exactly what you want. Still a bad expansion pack? Definitely not. However, considering the country's economy, the price may be a bit salty for some players. Here, too, the producer is not really guilty. Thank you for reading so far, and see you in other reviews. Stay well!
Enormous Atmosphere - My review of Resident Evil Village
First of all, although I want to tell a lot about some events that I dislike and find absurd in the name of the story, I will not include any spoiler content in this review. In other words, let me state that I will talk about this subject, without giving information about the subject, except for the details we see in the trailers. Of course, if you haven't played Resident Evil 7 yet, let me also mention that you may encounter delightful content on this subject.
After we returned to the old games of the RE Village or Resident Evil 8 series, we came across it and tried to close another important gap by taking the story slowly. With the gameplay following the footsteps of Resident Evil 7 and containing very important characters from the main series, we can say that it was a game that attracted our attention. Well with the trailers "what the hell?" Did the production we call manage to keep this attention at the highest level when we finished or while playing the game?
Pros
+ Enormous atmosphere and details
+ Elements of horror that keep you on your toes
+ Fun conflict dynamics
+ The story that triggers the wonder element
+ Beneviento's house
+ Use of sound to complement the atmosphere
Cons
- Important characters with no depth
- Puzzle dynamics are insufficient
- Minor frame drops
- Tormenting boss fights
Resident Evil Village takes place three years after the 7th game. Ethan Winters saved his wife Mia and they had a child like a ball of light. When you say light ball, it is like a light ball. Even in the brief moment when we hold the baby in our arms, my cheeks came to me. As with all characters, Capcom has done a great job in designing the doll. Despite the small difficulties between the husband and wife who have this beautiful baby, everything goes rosy and smiling, while Chris Redfield gets in on the situation and squeezes it in Mia's head as we can see in the trailers as a result of a small raid. We find ourselves in the middle of the village, which gave the game its name, as we darken and Chris takes our baby and leaves. So what we need to do is find our baby Rose and understand Chris's troubles.
We knew that Resident Evil Village would feature tracks from both Resident Evil 7 and Game 4 as a theme. As you play the game, you see that these traces begin to become more pronounced. But it's not just these two games. Having made a radical change in the camera and gameplay dynamics in the 7th game, Capcom has succeeded in bringing the game to different atmospheres as it continues this order in the new game. Even if we enter the village atmosphere as in the 4th game, when we look at the integrity of the game, you see that each region actually carries different traces in itself.
The village part is directly reminiscent of Resident Evil 4. Dimitrescu Castle, on the other hand, has a functioning like the Police Station and Mansion, which we are often familiar with from the series. In these parts, you are trying to open the locked doors and you are actually trying to escape from this place where you are stuck with some small puzzles. Puzzles are not as detailed as in old games and can be solved very easily. When we leave all these dynamics aside and go to Donna Beneviento's small mansion, the face of the game changes incredibly.
I'm scared mom
Okay, we were encountering horror elements in the first minutes of the game, which I will talk about in a moment, but I can say that Beneviento's house is on the top. The game was suddenly P.T. You take on a similar atmosphere and you feel cold sweat running down your back. I would like to point out that this part, which is a big surprise for me, is my favorite and feared place in the game.
As I mentioned at the beginning, Resident Evil Village connects to many different points as the story. This situation can annoy many fans because I can say that it was a slightly different context for the series. We can say that it will probably have a great impact on the course of the series. The game manages to provide the necessary depth and complexity in characters such as Chris Redfield and Ethan Winters. Although you are surprised that Ethan is still surprised when he sees a monster, after a while you try not to see this inexperience. The relationship between these two characters, the general element of curiosity, is beautifully handled in the game. Just like in Resident Evil 7, you are wondering about the reason for the events and this situation manages to connect you to the game.
The depth of the character brings a great disappointment in other important characters. All the other characters you encounter in the game are very blindly written and have no depth. I can say that even the most crucial speeches and dialogues are shown in the trailers. What's more, believe it, and this situation made me incredibly sad. You see that even some interesting characters whose purpose we are trying to solve have very mundane ambitions towards the end.
As such, you start to think that a huge potential is wasted for very simple action elements. For example, if we compare it to Resident Evil 7, perhaps the most special aspect of that game was that it also contained a family drama. We saw that each character was written with care and we came across dialogues that added depth to them. As I think of the scene where Jack Baker explains the facts and explains how they got into an impasse, something still breaks with me. Although Resident Evil Village succeeds in this in the main character, it appears to be very blind in the other side characters, and I can say that this situation makes the story of the game in a very superficial structure.
Resident Evil Village has managed to balance the horror and action well. As you can learn the details of the story by researching around, this research situation is also the most important factor that triggers tension. You are constantly moving on the trigger both indoors and in the village part. Although the horror elements adhere to the method we call jump scare at some points, I also have to say that the general atmosphere of the game keeps the tension high.
What about the dynamics of research?
Another importance of researching around is revealed in the ammunition and valuable items you will find. It is difficult to say that Resident Evil Village is a game with lots of hands when it comes to ammunition. That's why you have to be careful with every bullet you shoot. If you cannot do enough research, you will have to walk around with a knife in your hand. You evaluate the items you find by giving them to Duke, who is in pursuit of his bread, who sets up the market counter at certain points of the map. Duke sells you ammunition as well as handles updates on your weapons. When it comes to ammunition, I think about it immediately, I can fill the money and don't get the magazines. Because the ammunition in Duke's hand is also numbered and they run out when you buy them. This makes it more important to search around and find bullets and valuable items.
Duke also makes good use of the animal meats you see around and kill. With the kitchen option opened after a certain point in the game, you learn that the character can cook with a Master Chef cry. These dishes affect some of your features. If you can open these features, your health bar is slowly filling when your health is low, or you take less damage when you protect yourself. A number of features like this are included. So be you, do not sell the meat of the animals you hunt at the beginning of the game. They are much more valuable afterwards.
Let's get to the action and general dynamics of the game. Resident Evil Village is a game in which we get into action from time to time but mostly get nervous while searching around. I found the action parts balanced and I think he kept the actor on alert. You are trying to use all the weapons and ammunition you find. Using the dynamites and mines you find can provide you with nice advantages at the necessary points. It has been made incredibly important to find the weak spots of some enemies and to work there.
In the game, apart from zombies, you have to fight with werewolves, mechanical monsters or a mixture of zombies and werewolves called Lycan. I can say that these species act a little more sane than classic zombies. When you shoot, they flee to the right and plunge into your neck in the most unexpected places. Conflict dynamics are generally enjoyable and stressful. This stress situation leaves its place to absurd boss struggle and pure action at the end of the game. So if you show these two parts to someone, they may even think that they belong to separate games. Although the majority of the game is balanced, you feel like you are playing Resident Evil 6 in the last part.
The most disliking point in conflict dynamics was enemy reactions. In some cases, when you shoot at the enemy's head or chest, they have to be thrown backwards, on the contrary, they come towards you. These shots you make to drive away the enemy, on the contrary, bring them closer to you faster than normal. I could not even tell if it was a bug or normal operation because I can say it was a very problematic situation. Other than that, there was not much that upset me in the dynamics of conflict. Of course, although the clashes are enjoyable, we have to admit that the main boss struggles are a bit pale. The boss struggles of the characters who are already aimless are also kept very common.
Resident Evil Village is a very successful game in terms of graphics and atmosphere. As soon as you take your first step into the village, you realize that the game has a unique texture and you start to breathe this beautiful atmosphere into your lungs. As we wander through the village houses where there is a great destruction, the Dimitrescu castle shouts that I am here in all its glory. They have absorbed that hazy, present-day but medieval eastern European atmosphere into the game very nicely. Moreover, you can clearly see how the atmosphere of the game changes in every region you visit. From gloomy areas to dungeons, from foggy bridges to dark lands, a process rich in atmosphere awaits you. The light games used in all these areas, combined with the detail around, create very beautiful scenes. Even when you enter a village house, you can see how the light entering through the ruined wall adds a beautiful detail to the atmosphere of the room.
The game, which does its part graphically, has managed to reinforce this atmosphere with light games. Matters such as coating have been brought into your eyes even more with the details in the game. So I passed the village part, especially in the Dimitrescu Castle, you encounter such beautiful embroidery and details that you kiss the production team on your forehead. Especially if you are a player like me who is drowning in details, you can be sure that you will be around. From the door embroidery to the sculptures, from the motifs on the wall to the paintings, a really fine workmanship has been made. I can say that I liked this aspect of the game very, very much.
The only problem on the technical side is frame drops that occur from time to time. I played the Playstation 5 version of the game. In general, the game, which watches 60 fps with Ray Tracing on, comes across with frame drops, albeit rarely, in a way I cannot understand. Although these frame drops are not too big, you can feel them very clearly because they are experienced instantaneously and make a hard transition. I think this problem will be resolved as soon as possible.
As for the sound, Resident Evil Village surprised me a lot. Both the music used and the sound elements that affect the atmosphere contribute greatly to the enjoyment of the game. The music is very good, especially I have to admit that I listened to the song played at the end of the game over and over again. In the repair part, the sound effects coming from around and the voices of zombies start to paranoid you. I can say that you are getting even more nervous with the sound of violins when the tension reaches the peak. On this subject, those who listen to the song "I got five on it" used in the movie Us will understand more clearly what I said. I can say that at certain moments of the play, for some reason, I remember the feeling of tension I experienced when I listen to that song. In short, it can be said that the sound effects and music were exactly at the level we expected from the game.
Resident Evil Village review - Conclusion
As a result, Resident Evil Village has been a delightful game that manages to play itself from beginning to end. If the story and characters were dwelled on a little more, a very different job could have come out. As someone who loves Resident Evil 7, I can say that he successfully carried the flag he received from him to the next step. Still, the Baker drama impressed me much more than the character depth in this game.
In short, if you like Resident Evil 7 and the atmosphere and horror elements it offers, I can say that you will enjoy a similar experience from the Resident Evil Village game. Resident Evil Village has already been one of the most successful games of the year, despite some shortcomings.
Sister's Hero - My Review of the NieR Replicant
The game was released in 2010 as a renewed version of the action adventure game called Nier, which has been overlooked by most players, published by Square Enix. Nier, which had two different versions named Gestalt and Replicant in 2010, came to the west with the Gestalt version, where we could only manage the older main character. So Nier Replicant ver.1.2247… not only appeals to players who entered the series with Automata, but also to players who have not officially played Replicant before.
NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… it's not a simple remaster or a comprehensive remake version. As someone who has played both the Drakengard series and the Nier games before, I was waiting for this release with great excitement. Apart from the lack of opportunity to play the Replicant other than fan-made translations, it seems like a big plus that some aspects of the game, which were troublesome even for the time of the game, have been improved with the new version. Let's start our review for answers to questions such as what has been added to the game, what differences compared to previous versions, and why you should play NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139
Pros
+ Great Soundtracks
+ Impressive Story
+ Improved gameplay
+ Atmosphere
+ Newly added sections
+ Grimoire Weiss
Cons
- Pc version has meaningless port problems
- Section designs
-Boring side missions
- Not player friendly enough
-Graphics could be better
-The price should have been a little lower
-The Story of the Big Brother Who Takes All For His Sister
NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… comes up with a very extraordinary story. (From now on I will refer to the game directly as Nier Replicant, Copy and paste to a point.) In 2049, we start a snowy summer season with our main character hiding in the ruins of the market with his brother. While our character, who tries to protect his brother from dangers, repels the attack of the monsters named Shade, which we can subject as shadow monsters, time fastens and we go to 1312 years later.
The year is 3361 and the world as we know it is completely forgotten. Our main character Nier (or whichever name you choose) pursues various missions to obtain the medicines of his recently ill sister. Performing various tasks for people living in small and relatively primitive communities, Nier has to contend not only with wild animals, but also with the Shades, shadow beings of unknown origin.
Soon our sister goes to an old temple in search of a medicinal plant, gets into trouble, while trying to help, we meet a talking book called Grimoire Weiss. We discover that our sister has gotten a magical disease with no cure called Black Scrawl, and we start looking for a cure with Weiss, who is also a magical being. The aggressive and abusive warrior Kainé, who has his own secrets, and Emil, who keeps away from people because of his unfortunate situation, join us in our adventure.
This is the summary of the story, but as you progress you will see that the subject goes to very different places. The story begins in a very ordinary way, with a child trying to help the villagers and find medicine, but as it progresses, it turns into the nature of the people, the hostile and cruel attitudes towards the stranger and the desperate adventure our team gave in such a world. Those who watched the introductory videos of the game have more or less guessed that the story does not always follow the same line. I do not want to spoil the fun of the game by telling the story, which is one of the strengths of both the original game and the Nier Replicant. You have to experience for yourself the unusual characters and the story that gets a little more detailed at each stage. Once you finish the game, the narrative style that rewinds the story a little bit and starts it up again, asking you to finish it like this one more time seems bad in theory, but I can say that it does not bother you much while playing. Somewhat different things happen every time we go back to the beginning.
It's quite natural to expect the side missions to be just as good while the main story and the quests around it are as good, so commendable. This expectation is unfortunately disappointing. I want to say that extending the game time with unnecessary side missions was somewhat acceptable in 2010, but I was bored with these missions in the original game. Some of them lead to very pleasant dialogues or scenes that can be impressive, but we do so much legwork, there is so much unnecessary hustle and bustle. We run for 10 minutes, hear the words "Oh, he went somewhere else" and run back for 10 minutes. When we give the news, we make a little more road by saying "okay, run for 10 more minutes and come grab something else". Not even counting the fish missions. They're a little more revealing than the original, but no, it's still not the ordeal to suffer. They do not contribute as a story, either.
3D Action Game Becomes An Isometric Shooter in Instant
The better the story of Nier, published in 2010, the more cumbersome and frustrating its gameplay. The bad gameplay is one of the biggest reasons why the original Nier was ignored by many people. Nier Replicant has managed to take the weakest point of the game and bring it closer to Nier Automata, which made this version possible by reaching millions. Sword fights have become very fluid and enjoyable with the Nier Replicant. The spell system that used to stop the flow of combat, which you have to stop to use, has been successfully incorporated into the combat system. On the one hand, we fight enemies in the vicinity, on the other hand, we can gather strength to unleash enemies at the appropriate time. They made Nier's cumbersome combat system, which became a burden after a while, close to Automata.
We start the game with a one-handed sword and use only this weapon for a long time. There are many different types of swords, but the move sets do not change with swords. Different swords offer different values in terms of weight, damage and magic power. Also, as we kill enemies, we can add the words we collect to our weapons and spells. Spears and two-handed swords are also added after a certain part of the game, and we can switch to different attacks by changing our weapon during the fight.
One of my favorite things about Nier Replicant is the places where we feel like playing a different kind of game with suddenly changing camera angles. These changes are much more than in the original Nier, and thanks to the renewed combat system, you can adapt quickly and feel like you are playing a different type of game. The game even switches to the text-based "MUD" genre that was popular many years ago. It is a part that will not be liked by everyone, but it amused me a lot.
We said that the fights in the game are more enjoyable than the original, but I cannot pass without mentioning a point. While playing at the hardest level, opponents' health bar and damage increase significantly. We suffer a considerable loss of life even when the sheep kills. In boss fights, we have to break the seals that appear after inflicting a certain amount of damage, and if the difficulty is high, this process takes a long time. Then we see that some bosses do the same movement all the time, it is a very annoying fight to fight a boss who is constantly kicking his feet and trying to throw us down. If you play it easy, the game can fight for you, which is another option. At times I played it in normal difficulty (where I was bored with the damage sponge enemies) in general hard. I would recommend most players to play on normal difficulty.
Get lost in the music
Nier Replicant isn't exactly a remake, it's actually not even a remaster according to its producer. While radical changes are made in some areas, other parts can be easily overhauled. One of the parts that has been improved but not rebuilt is graphics. Nier, which had acceptable graphics in 2010, received the graphics update it needed. But how much was it enough?
The skins of the game have been completely renewed. They are not at the level of the next generation, but they look more pleasing to the eye. There are wonderful views where you can see the world after the disaster. Seafront, which I am sure is an Aegean town, Aerie, which is located on the edge of the mountain, and Lost Shrine, which I guess was a hotel, look quite good. The designs of the maps show that the game is old, but visually it has a graphic quality close to the early 7th generation.
The character models are more advanced, the animations are better, and the lighting is much better. If Nier Replicant was released as a remaster, I would have been seriously praised in terms of graphics. They did a very good job, no matter what, you can see the difference between the original game and the original game. I invite those who say there is no big change to play the versions on the Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 consoles again. Once you see the difference, you realize how much the change is.
One of the two strongest aspects of the Nier series is the story, while the other is unquestionably their soundtrack. The soundtrack by Keiichi Okabe, who previously worked on the soundtrack of Drakengard 3, original Nier games and Nier Automata, is amazing. They reworked Nier's already great music and re-recorded most of it.
Dynamic music constantly adjusts the music according to the situation if you enter a fight or move to a different part of the map, normally when you go to Devola, who sings when there is only music, the lyrics also come into play. Emi Evans' terrific voice permeates you with his words written as a language that can be used for thousands of years in the future. The story starts out weak and gets stronger as it progresses, but the music keeps its magnificence from the beginning to the end, without breaking the line.
The most happy part of the game was the voice acting. Preserving the original voiceover team, Nier Replicant made a nice choice to voice all the dialogues in the game. It is very annoying for me that the characters speak two or three sentences and continue the rest in writing. Okay, it might not have been possible due to money and technology on time, but we are in 2021, don't do it anymore. Nier Replicant has not only voiced the main characters' dialogues, but even simple NPC characters, it is especially fun to listen to the strange language of the Facade people out loud.
There are some games, no matter how good the English voiceover is, I prefer to play in Japanese, because the Japanese voiceover adapts more to that game. I can cite Final Fantasy XV as an example in this regard. It was the first time I had a dilemma in a game and I also played the English voiceover saying "I play different endings in a different language". The biggest influence on this was Laura Bailey (The Last of Us 2, Catherine, Avengers) and Liam OBrien (Warcraft, Darksider, League of Legends), who voiced Kainé. Liam OBrien gave the full Illidan Stormrage vibe in the character of Grimoire Weiss, and the successful performance was even better than his Japanese voice.
The Wrinkled Pages of Grimoire Weiss
From the beginning of the article, I praised the game, and although I pointed out their minor troubles at times, I did not emphasize it too much. It's time for the annoying parts of the game.
I played Nier Replicant with a good PC, almost smoothly. Nier: I was a bit cautious about this game too, due to Automata's badly published PC port. But I had no problem when I first opened it. I get 60 FPS constantly, the graphics are nice as I mentioned, I went through the first parts by playing with the keyboard and mouse. I think they did it properly this time, and I decided that playing with the keyboard and mouse was not that enjoyable. The keyboard-mouse duo is adapted to the game, but the mouse works just like a controller, so you can't make sharp camera turns.
The game is already out for the console, saying that it would be much more logical to play with the controller, I switched to the Xbox One controller and the uproar started. The game started to stretch meaninglessly, and the stable FPS suddenly started to oscillate between 5-10. There is no such problem when wearing the Playstation 4 controller or playing with the keyboard. In order to solve the problem, it is necessary to download the mod (SpecialK) made by the team that previously fixed Automata and select the "Cancel Playstation interface" option in the game. You don't expect to have such a ridiculous error with a controller that almost all PC gamers use. This issue was still unresolved at the time of writing, considering we are waiting for the Xbox port release for Nier: Automata, I don't think it will be resolved anytime soon.
The performance of the game is good, we said it can give 60 FPS steadily, but it can also go higher, but this is not a good thing. Animations accelerate significantly over 70 FPS and we suddenly have a character who is teleported left and right. Not only us, but also the enemies are speeding up, we can be beaten by a small Shade before we even realize we are being attacked. There is a solution, of course, you can get a lower FPS monitor, if you have an NVDIA card, you can fix the game's frame rate or with the mode I mentioned above, you can fix the frame rate supported by the game at the rate you want. Having to break points just because of these two problems really makes me a little sad, but there is nothing to do.
The performance problems of the game are specific to the PC version, there are no such problems on consoles. Console players are faced with the difficulties found in each version, such as boring episode designs from 2010, grind that needs to be done in boring designed places to develop weapons, boring side missions that progress in a complete legwork logic, and the first 6 hours of the game to open. Some side missions and missing mechanics in the game attract so much attention that even Grimoire Weiss, who is always with us, can complain about this issue. The lack of a system that allows us to move quickly is explained by Weiss as "everyone who tried this spell was shattered by obstacles on the road." So the game is also aware of some shortcomings.
Some players are uncomfortable with replaying the same story after a certain episode to reach the true end of the game and see this as a minus, but I disagree. Every time you return to the beginning, you learn a different side of the story and get new pieces accordingly. In some sections, you have the option to move fast, and you have the chance to quickly skip the conversations you have heard before. It could have been a different route, but Yoko Taro is an interesting producer, and his game also suffers from quirks that are debatable at times.
Finally, Nier Replicant sometimes leaves the player in the middle. In the time of Nier Gestalt, there were even those who quit the game because he could not pass the fishing game. This time they talked about how to fish, but they left all the rest of the information in the air. Or they are given very little information on the side missions, waiting for the player to solve the rest. If you do not open and check the book once in a while, you may miss the side missions. There is a checkpoint in boss fights, but the health items you use do not come back, you can suffer in the face of the enormous enemy. Better than before but still not quite a player-friendly game.

NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… definitely a successful game. They wonderfully brought Nier Gestalt / Replicant games, which were released in 2010 and which very few people deserve due to its shortcomings, to the next generation. In its name, "ver.1.22474487139…" is actually the square root of the number "1.5" and the game deserves its name as an intermediate version. The ideal name for a game that has been developed too much to be a remaster, which would not be exactly right if it was called a remaster, was chosen.
The game, which includes a huge newly added episode and 15 Nightmares DLC packs added to the main game, offers a brand new DLC pack for free, which also adds costumes and music from the Nier Automata game. They finally smoothed the original Nier’s fishing mini game. I wish the PC version was a little better port and the problems were quickly resolved by the producers, not the users. The truth is, I wish the version of Gestalt, which tells the story of the father trying to save his daughter, was also playable, but this is a personal idea.
Heroes of My Childhood - My New Pokemon Snap Review
I am going on a journey in the world of Pokemon and trying to take the best photos. The game, as a sequel to the game named "**Pokemon Snap**", which was released for Nintendo 64 years ago, allows us to look at pokemons from an angle we have not seen before. So how enjoyable is New Pokemon Snap, which we try to capture pokemons with our camera, is it worth the price it wants, which type of players does it appeal to? Let's examine it together.
Pros
+ More than 200 pokemon
+ Visually high quality
+ Night - Day changing maps
+ High replayability
+ An ideal game for head rest
+ The ability to compare photos online
Cons
- Price performance ratio is very low
- Some graphics issues
- Pokemon evolution feature removed
- You have to grind
- Not a game that will appeal to every gamer
In the New Pokemon Snap game, we are portraying the photographer who steps into a new region. In the new region called Lental Region, we meet Pokemon Professor Mirror and his assistant Rita, where we will be trained on examining and photographing pokemons. This region is home to many pokemon in its natural environment, where extraordinary events can happen from time to time. Some Pokemon, for example, emit glows at night. It is not the case of "shiny pokemon", they shine as you know it.
Night Luminous Pokemon
The game's main story takes about 8 hours and focuses on glowing pokemons. The story of "I will join the league and be the winner, I will catch all the pokemons, I will save the world while I am in touch" is experiencing a serious decrease in speed like "I will take pictures of all of them", but it is a decline in line with the general tempo of the game. It duly fulfills its duty of providing a reason for players who want to visit various islands in the region and shoot Pokemon in their natural habitat.
In order for the story to progress, we need to take pokemon photos on day and night maps in our region and increase your map experience. The photos we took are presented by Prof. It is evaluated by the Mirror and the story continues, with the next island unlocked according to our level of success. Sometimes there are moments when the story pauses, in these cases we have to go back to the same parts and take new photos and work to improve our experience. I can't lie, it was one of the last games I expected to grind for story mode, New Pokemon Snap.
Electric Horse Pulling Pikachu
New Pokemon Snap is a rail shooter style game that you can come across in large shopping malls now. You know, you take the weapon in your hand, you try to stop the enemies on you while the character moves automatically. The same logic, but there are no enemies here and "I'm taking pictures with your back!" you take pictures of pokemons by saying.
Professor Mirror provides us with a tool called NEO-ONE, and we travel in this vehicle during the entire shooting session. The route we will go is fixed, there are opportunities to make minor changes in the route in the following stages, but our path is always clear. Based on our route and the time of day, we identify the pokemons in the area, and take the photo when we see the scene we want. When the episode ends, Professor Mirror evaluates the pokemon photos we took.
With a device that is slightly more advanced than a standard camera, we follow the Pokemon in their natural environment, we try to get 4 different quality photos and fill the Photodex. For Photodex, we can say that it is an album like Pokedex but with photos that are rated with stars according to their quality. While a flat pokemon photo is rated with 1 star, a pokemon displaying extraordinary movements can go up to 4 stars. For example, you can get 4 stars just because the pokemon is flexing.
There are several features that are taken into account during the evaluation of the photographs. Points are awarded by looking at various categories such as what Pokemon is doing at that time, does it fit the frame, how good is the background, is there any other Pokemon next to it. If you go straight in the vehicle and take a photo, it is difficult to capture 4-star poses. You can earn higher stars by throwing fruit on the head of sleeping pokemon and waking them up. Don't be afraid, I haven't seen a pokemon attacking and getting angry because fruit was on his head. But there are chances that they will fight each other. Come on, another 4-star photo. Different actions, such as playing music, using the sphere linked to the story, or throwing fruit to eat, cause the pokemons to pose in different poses or reveal a hidden pokemon.
With New Pokemon Snap, we can take photos of 214 different pokemons. They have placed a variety of pokemons from all games, not just over the pokemons of a single region. In addition to the favorite pokemon of the first generation such as Pikachu and Bulbasaur, names added in recent games such as Scorbunny can also be seen in the game. My eyes searched Mimik, but unfortunately it was not added. Apart from that, I learned that some pokemons that are loved by fans are also not in the game. Still, I did not find the chosen pokemon bad. There are pokemons that everyone knows and loves.
What is the Next Picture Taken?
We said that there are different islands in the game and we can travel in different time zones on each of them. Sometimes, by changing the route towards secret roads, it is possible to see different pokemons in a part of the island that we have not seen before. We see Pokemon, we try to take quality photos, and finally Professor Mirror evaluates one photo per Pokemon and gives us points. Occasionally, we can also get extra missions like "take a stretched pokemon photo" "take a dancing Pikachu".
The game is not very difficult, all you do is sit in the car, take photos and reach high star levels. It is also enjoyable to open the album and see them after taking beautiful photos. But that's the whole thing. If you expect anything other than the game, you will be disappointed. "Photo Mode", which is available as additional content in other games, constitutes the entire New Pokemon Snap. You are photographing in a version with improved graphics and better animations of any pokemon game.
It is possible to complete the story mode of the game in 10 hours, depending on the quality of the photos you take. As I mentioned above, sometimes it is necessary to grind. Even though the scoring system explains some things, there are some shortcomings in how we reach higher star levels. When one of the two photos I took in a row got 1 star and the other 3 stars, I tried hard to find the difference, but in vain. Also, you can only consider one photo of each pokemon, which is very annoying. An action made to extend the time to fill the Photodex.
You have to grind to increase the game time, you are re-touring the areas you have passed before to increase your level on a map, and after a while this is "What am I doing?" starting to scratch your mind in the form. It can be a nice event for Pokemon fans, it gets boring after a while for someone like me who likes the series but isn't a fan. I wish there was a game where we can move as we want on the determined route. Then I am sure that I will have less trouble going to the same places.
The graphics are not bad, it does not seem to fully use the graphics capacity that Switch can offer, but it does not bother. It looks good both in hand and on the dock. Pokemon are modeled in great detail and the animations they have are beautiful. It is very nice to see the effects of day-night change on maps and pokemons. Sometimes, in the photos you take, low quality coatings are noticeable due to the high quality pokemon model on the front, but there is nothing disturbing the eye.
There is one more subject that I do not want to pass without mentioning. How many years have passed, a lot of games have been released, the players poured the world's money on all of them, but still the full voiceover has not been added to the game! If all the pokemons shout during the photo shoot, I accept that our heads will swell, but at least if you voiced the dialogues in the story. The characters speak loudly in the cutscenes, but most of the remaining dialogue is written.
New Pokemon Snap Conclusion
New Pokemon Snap is a successful game that has been updated in terms of graphics and content, with a lot of innovations added to Pokemon Snap, which was released for Nintendo 64 in 1999. It can be very good to rest a little mind, to calm down and to photograph the cute state of pokemon in their natural environment. Even if the situations where I had to play the same episodes over and over to move forward in the story bothered me, it could have been a game I could recommend to anyone. But there is a small problem. New Pokemon Snap is developed by BANDAI NAMCO Studios and published by Nintendo exclusively for the Nintendo Switch console.
Someone who loves the Pokemon series, has bought and played all possible Pokemon games, and has paid incredible sums for Pokemon cards, has already caught the New Pokemon Snap in the air. You can photograph Pokemon and share them with other users on the internet and compare them with their photos.
He got to know the series with the cartoon, which was broadcast on television like me. New Pokemon Snap is an entertaining game at best for players who have been involved in games with Pokemon Red and have played all the games in the main series but are not big fans of the series. The price he wants according to the content he offers is very high for a player like me. Moreover, a part of the game time is a game that requires grind and unnecessary extension tactics. So it is very difficult for me to recommend this game for the full price to a regular player. At this price, I can choose games that I can enjoy much more.
New Pokemon Snap is definitely a nice game. The content it offers is good, it is an enjoyable game that has added many innovations on the original released in 1999 and has replayability. Even if you are not a big pokemon fan, you can have a good time with the game that appeals to all ages.
Become a Legendary Baseball Player - MLB The Show 21 My Review
The new guest of today's review column allows us to take a closer look at baseball and sports. MLB The Show 21 is the baseball game developed by Sony and for the first time in its 15-year history to Xbox consoles. So, is MLB The Show 21 a good enough game to attract players in areas where baseball is not popular, let's answer it together.
Since baseball is not a well-known sport in our country, the game is not known much. But in areas where baseball is popular, the MLB The Show series is a very popular game and is widely praised for successfully bringing the sport to the game. My personal baseball experience is limited to going to a game in Japan and watching cartoons on TV. There is also the movie "Field of Dreams", which was broadcast on television at the time, I still love that movie.
Pros
+ Road to the Show mode
+ Easy to learn gameplay styles
+ Pinpoint Pitching system for master players
+ Visuality and atmosphere
+ The online side does not force you to buy packages
+ Crossplay and Cross platform feature
Cons
- We cannot create stadiums in the previous generation
- Minor frame issues
- Sometimes there is a picture / sound drift
- RTTS mode only has audio podcasts (PS4 / Xbox One)
Platforms
PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, XBox One, Xbox Series X
MLB The Show 21 has enough content to please baseball fans. Up-to-date squads, one-on-one stadiums of the teams, lower division teams and a great atmosphere reminiscent of a real baseball game. With its presentation, music and successful visual features, we feel like we are watching a real match, not a game. Although the long-term followers of the series say that there are few improvements, everything is very good for Xbox users who are new to the series or for the first-time PlayStation players like me.
MLB The Show 21 has various modes. The first of these is the "Road to the Show" mode, where you create your own player and go professional. After creating your character, there is no option to start playing in a position you want. In the conversations in the game, some questions are asked and choices are made according to your character. Normally, such modes start from small teams and try to attract the attention of a team and try to be selected, but with The Show 21, it is possible to go directly to the team you want. Of course, there is also a chance to be selected for a random team. The feature of playing both shooter and non-shooter positions, which was not available in the previous games of the series, is also included in The Show 21.
You can choose 3 different "Archetypes" for our character and you can also make "Perk" choices that will strengthen your various characters. It is also possible to customize the character's equipment. With all these features, you can turn a single player into a special player who can play in different positions in each match and use different equipment. It is also possible to move your created character to Diamond Dynasty mode.
The story progression is carried out with podcast programs as well as interviews before and after the match. The point I stuck with about these podcasts is that we can listen to radio programs on Playstation 4 and Xbox One consoles only with audio. We watch it as a video on the new generation consoles Xbox Series S / X and Playstation 5. An interesting choice.
Diamond Dynasty, the game's online combat mode, is already a popular and well-functioning mode, so this year there are no major updates. Working in the logic of Fifa Ultimate Team (FUT) and NBA 2K My Team, Diamond Dynasty allows you to buy packs and build your team with the cards inside. Unlike other games, the rosters can stay strong for a long time in MLB The Show 21 and it is possible to be a part of the struggle without spending money, as it has a development feature.
Franchise, the first of the other two modes, gives you the opportunity to play 162 matches that take place over the course of a season. March to October is a game mode that gives you control at the most important moments of the matches and the rest of the events happen automatically.
A Real Baseball Game Atmosphere
MLB The Show 21 gameplay is prepared to appeal to both newcomers and experienced players. The game, which has Casual, Simulation and Competitive difficulty levels, also has the option of "Dynamic Difficulty", which increases or decreases the difficulty according to your performance in the match. Casual is the ideal option for a newcomer to the game, while online challenges take place on Competitive difficulty. If you want to play with other players, I suggest you prepare yourself.
You have a few different options in the throwing and hitting parts of the game. In addition to the modes that allow even novice players to shoot / hit easily, the Show is pleasing to experienced players with the Pinpoint Pitching system added this year.
One of the most important features added to the game this year is the Stadium Creator. It is possible to make a highly detailed stadium with Stadium Creator, which allows you to create your own dream stadium. We are reviewing the Playstation 4 version of the game, but just out of curiosity, I had a bit of trouble downloading and creating a stadium on the Xbox Series S. You arrange everything from the soil on the field to the wall coverings and the placement of the castles. It is also possible to share these stadiums with other players and download the stadiums built by them. The fact that the feature is only in the new generation may be due to the high level of detail it contains.
The game does a very good job visually. The differences between the new generation version and the PlayStation 4 / Xbox One versions are not overly high, and a careless viewer may think you are watching a real baseball game when looking at the footage. The animations of the actors are very realistic. In terms of performance, the Playstation 4 does a fine job. Although there are frame drops at a few small points, it is possible to play the game without any problems.
The game does a pretty good job in terms of sounds. It keeps the atmosphere of the match beautifully alive. The most striking complaint was that the Sound of the Show feature, which is normally a popular feature of the series, is only available on the Playstation 4 version. The feature that allows you to customize the music played at certain moments of your player has been removed in both the new generation versions and the Xbox One console.

MLB The Show 21 is a sports game that is not very well known in our country and is naturally underestimated. As someone who has no understanding of baseball, it would be a lie if I said that I did not enjoy the hours I spent in the game. Over time, as I increased the difficulty and started to do some of the automatic movements of the game myself, the pleasure I got from the game started to increase. But someone who does not understand this sport at all may not be able to adapt to the game by just doing the trainings in the game. (Until I researched some things on the internet, I never understood what happened in the matches I played, for example).
For players who love baseball, I can say MLB The Show 21 is the best baseball game available on the market. It offers a lot of options in terms of customization, creates the atmosphere, and its gameplay appeals to all kinds of players. Moreover, it supports both crossplay and cross progress system. As consoles from different generations can struggle with each other, you also have the chance to continue the progress you have made on the Playstation 4 on your new generation Xbox console.
I can recommend MLB The Show 21 to players who love baseball and want to buy a sports game and play it for a year. But if you are not into sports games or baseball, this game is not for you.
Although MLB The Show 2021 allowed even the most novice gamer to somehow comprehend and play the gameplay, it never managed to completely absorb me. At the time, I used to think that I played baseball by taking a stick and hitting the tennis ball that came in my hand, but actually it may be because I have no interest in this sport. Take a look if you have the opportunity to try it, but if you are not interested in baseball, it is very difficult to get your money's worth. As someone who has little interest in baseball, I have a certain score to the game, if you really like baseball you can add 10 more points.
My Journey to Unknown Planets - My Returnal Review
In my returnal review, I take a look at the general dynamics of the game developed specifically for Playstation 5. Before going into the details, I have to underline that the game is the first game developed for PS5. In other words, we have a game that has been developed completely taking into account the architecture and features of the console. Demon's Souls was released exclusively during the console's release period, but if we consider that this game is a Remake, we can at least position Returnal in a more special place in this regard. Because I will give details in a moment, but you feel this situation in every moment of the game, albeit with small details, and this is just a few of the points that make Returnal successful.
Pros
+ Fun and binding gameplay
+ Uninterrupted dynamics
+ A curious story
+ Horror elements
+ Using DualSense and Pulse 3D
+ No load time
Cons
- Totally luck-based loop balance
- Permanent upgrades are insufficient
- Unbalanced pricing
An action game that combines returnal roguelike and metroidvania genres, using horror elements as spice. Combining so many different types, it has managed to keep the aspects that all of them are successful in, despite some of their shortcomings.
In the game, we manage a character named Selene who falls on a planet named Atropos. While Selene embarks on a great journey towards the unknown on this planet, she also enters a personal showdown. As the game progresses, we find our own sound recordings, and even by seeing our own house, we discover that we are in a great uncertainty and loop, and we find ourselves in places that seem to have emerged from Alien movies.
The general functioning of the game is based on a time loop that is fed into the story details very well. When you die, you start the game from the starting point and repeat this cycle over and over again. This cycle tries to keep you alive with the changing map structure, different weapons and enemy types, as well as story pieces. "How can we enjoy dying over and over again?" I can hear you say. At this point, the fact that it has a dynamism that changes every time together with the randomly generated map structure has been an element that increases the bindingness of the game.
**It's up to you to break the cycle**
So if you have played successful games like Dead Cells or Hades before, I think you have a better understanding of what we mean. Or, if you are familiar with the storytelling of the Children of Morta game, it is possible to say that it has a similar structure. Because as he dies and spends hours over and over, he learns the details of the story and despite all these deaths, this bindingness of the game is the most important factor that pushes you to play again.
Of course, although there are changes every time in matters such as the map system or weapons, you actually encounter similar lines as a theme. In other words, each region of the game has a complex map system in itself. This map system changes every cycle, but in general terms, you encounter a forested area in the first region or a desert theme in the second region. In the later stages, areas such as snowy mountains and a large temple were also included. Despite this changing structure, the map was created so well that the discovery dynamics were kept at a high level. If you cannot search around and make the necessary updates, you will start the next cycle very quickly.
As the game progresses, of course, shortcuts and teleportation portals open. With these short cuts, you can quickly reach the region where you last stayed. But the faster you go, the less powerful your character is for that region. This has emerged as the biggest factor that prolongs the duration of the game. You also sense a little imbalance in this regard, because when you spend minutes and get all the features, it can be a little nervous to go straight back to the head when you die in the last zone. Both your weapons and the features you receive are reset each time, and this situation can bother you at some moments.
Some permanent items are included in the game to balance this situation a little. You get a hook that you can hold onto some points in the area, a sword (such as a lightsaber) with which you can break enemies or areas with a barrier, or permanent features that you can navigate underwater. These features are generally based on you navigating the game field faster. Since there is no permanent item for life bar or damage issues, as I said, no matter how fast you go, you have to repeat the cycle over and over again if you cannot find key items, especially in issues such as damage and health.
When I first played, I directly reached the 3rd zone. Afterwards, I had to repeat the cycle 10-15 times when I wanted to act fast. But again, cautiously and slowly, when I was pacified, I reached the fourth zone in the game. In other words, the game has a structure that requires patience and rewards you at the end of this patience, just like in similar productions.
Of course, do not look at what I say patient, although you need to be patient in progress, there is a completely opposite situation in gameplay dynamics. Because Returnal is a production where you need to stay in motion constantly and adjust the dynamics of conflict accordingly. There are only a few points on the screen where you can escape from enemy shooting in boss fights. Or sometimes there are so many enemies on the playground that you take a moment's hesitation to measure your height. Moreover, you may encounter enemies that will knock you down with a single shot, as well as crunchy snack enemies. I can say that the random processing of this whole structure, like the section designs, keeps you on your bumps.
There are also some dynamics that need to be considered, apart from searching around and finding weapons and items. For example, your adrenaline level allows you to do more damage. In addition to the items you find, there are doors that you can unlock and some special items you can buy. To buy these, you have to collect orb-like spheres that fall from your enemies. The game is so stingy about this that you can only buy a few items per cycle. In other words, it can be a little annoyed that you only collect 60-70 units of orbs after jumping and bouncing on the whole playground and killing dozens of enemies in sweat. But remember, this tilt state is the most important dynamic of this kind of games :)
Among the items, there are items that you can use as well as those that affect your features. You can regenerate your health, reduce the cooldowns or create a shock wave when you jump for a certain period of time. I can say that it is vital to choose these items, which you can only buy in a certain number, and use them at the right time.
Apart from these items, there are some parasites you collect in the game area. The functioning of these parasites is based on the dynamism of return and lump sum. So let's say you found a parasite. This parasite gives you 20% more damage, while at the same time wiping 10% of your health bar. According to him, you collect the parasites you find and enter into a small account book. Apart from this parasite system, small challenge tasks are also included in the game. Some special items you buy have a penalty system. For example, you start to lose your life with every item you buy next. To prevent this, you can face challenges such as kill 6 enemies with a melee weapon, find an artifact or kill 15 enemies.
Speaking of Challenge, there are also special modes where you can compete with other players from your ship against time. In these missions, you try to clear the regions in the fastest way and climb the leaderboards.
Let's talk about weapons because every weapon you buy in the game has a level and you can naturally find higher level weapons in the advancing areas. Apart from pistols, pump and machine guns, they throw bombs and laser guns are also included in the game. Of course, all these weapon types vary depending on the atmosphere of the game. In other words, a technology belonging to the race in the game was used rather than a classic machine gun. In addition, each weapon has a secondary feature other than its primary shot. This second shot has a cooldown for each weapon. Since this secondary shot deals much higher damage, choosing the strongest one is an important strategy, especially in large groups of enemies. Here is a situation where you have to make this shot to the enemies that are difficult as the cooldown of the secondary shot ends while clearing the small ones with normal shots.
**Dualsense, what a beautiful detail you are**
Let's talk about the DualSense features in the game, along with the secondary firing of the weapon. The production team used the DualSense features in a small but effective way. This makes such a nice contribution to the game that I can't imagine playing Returnal with another controller right now. When you press the left trigger halfway, you switch to the targeting system. When you press it fully, the secondary firing mode of the weapon is activated. This is how the Adaptive Trigger feature in the game works.
Of course, apart from this feature, the Haptic Feedback feature has also been used very sweetly. Every movement of your character vibrates back to you. Or when you enter a portal, you feel the DualSense vibrate accordingly. There are different vibrations according to the weapons and shooting styles. My favorite point about it was the rain effect. Because in the rainy areas in the game, you feel the raindrops coming back, one by one, vibrating. As I said, this was a small situation, but it was a great contribution to the integrity of the game.
Returnal has a visually unique texture. Of course, it has enriched this texture with familiar atmospheric phenomena, as I mentioned at the beginning. As you progress in the game, you encounter regions similar to those in the Alien (Prometheus) movies, and you find yourself examining the remains of the ancient civilization here. The fact that each region has a different theme has contributed greatly to this visuality of the game. While raindrops hit your helmet in the wooded areas, you enter into foggy areas or look carefully at the sandstorms that greet you as you move away from the map in the desert section. The game may not be visually awesome, but it has a rich structure with the lighting games and elements that complement the atmosphere.
Another point I like on the technical side is about loading times. When you open the console from scratch, you are already logging into the game very quickly. In addition, you do not expect any loading time even when teleporting on the map. Only a small teleporting animation kicks in and you instantly find yourself at the target. This situation prevents you from disconnecting from the game, which has a fast and binding structure.
Finally, I want to talk about the sound effects in the game. I had the chance to experience Returnal with both normal headphones and Pulse 3D. Normally, it has a good structure in both combat moments and ambient sounds, but when you use a 3D headset, you feel how successful the sound effects of the game are. Apart from classical features such as hearing from which side the enemies are attacking, you can even hear the sounds that keep you on the edge. The game turns into a horror game, especially if you are using a good headphone at home. These parts are kept short, but I can say that although they are short together with the atmosphere and sound phenomenon, they manage to stretch you.
**As a result**
As I mentioned at the beginning, Returnal is a game that blends different dynamics very well. It's fun to play and its fast action structure doesn't bore you easily. Even when you die in a ridiculous way and close the game with anger, you want to play again after a certain period of time. It also has a structure that connects the player in this regard. My biggest criticism about the game lies in its price. If only the AAA game price had been kept one click lower than the game price, the players' perspective on Returnal would have been much different. I can say that it is a fun action game that you have to experience even if you have the opportunity to buy it as such or waiting for the discount period.
Eight Different Adventures in One Game - My Review of SaGa Frontier Remastered
I take a look at the extraordinary adventure of an old classic that comes before me again. One year after the release of Japan, it is the renewed version of SaGa Frontier, which was presented to the western players in **1998** and attracted attention with its different structure than the usual games. Let's find the answers to the questions such as what has changed in the intervening **23 years**, what innovations the game has brought and which features has been preserved, and is it worth trying after so long.
SaGa Frontier shows that it is different from other games at the beginning. When you come to the main menu of the game, you see 7 different characters and when you want to start a new game, you are asked which character you want to play. The story of each character is different, but they all take place on the same system, and we also have the chance to meet other characters during adventures and recruit them to our team.
Pros
+ Eight different stories with eight different characters
+ Gameplay that frees the player
+ Almost 40 different team members
+ Musics
+ Unique style of play of each character type
+ Game acceleration feature
+ New content not added to the original game
Cons
- Needing too much grind
- Difficulty setting seems unstable
- Insufficient task prompts
- Some stories seem to not offer their potential
One Game Eight Different Adventures
Red who is attacked by an evil organization and unintentionally becomes a superhero, the supermodel Emilia accused of killing his fiancee, Asellus trapped between the worlds of humans and mystics, Blue struggling to become the most powerful magic user, the monster Riki looking for a way to save his homeland. We have characters who do. There are also those whose purpose is not clear, such as the T260G, a robot struggling to find its purpose in life, and the musician Lute, who quit laziness and left his home for the first time.
SaGa Frontier Remastered also brings the script of Fuse, a character who had to be removed from the original game because of time. Opened when you complete the story of one of the other characters, Fuse is an impatient detective investigating unnatural events. In terms of the integrity of the story, it is most logical to play after completing the scenarios of the other characters, but the choice is left to the player.
The game offers an average of 8 hours per character. The characters do not have a specific order to play, but some characters offer a more "user-friendly" experience for new players. Although the main story is clear, the game sets you free, even so much that you may not find where to go. It is said what you need to do but it may not sound clear enough Finally, it is possible to quickly advance the story and reach the end without developing your character, without enough people on your team. When you realize that you are dead when the enemies cough on you, it can be too late to come back and you may have to go back to the beginning if you don't have a proper save point. So it is not healthy to rush too much on story missions.
Powerful Team Requires Solid Grind
The free script style story isn't the only thing SaGa Frontier Remastered differs from similar genre games. We can also see the differences in the gameplay part. In the story, we usually say what you have to do and what you will do afterwards is completely left to you. It is a bit open-world logic, you can go straight to the story zone, or there are options like walking around to strengthen your character and recruit new members to your party.
The combat system is implemented in traditional JRPG logic as a turn-based, but character development is a bit different. Your character develops abilities instead of leveling up. The more human and humanoid characters use a weapon or ability, the more experience they can acquire in that area and new abilities. In addition, at the end of the fight, his abilities such as "health" "stamina" "charisma" increase. While robots get stronger with their equipment, mystics have an interesting ability to turn monsters into equipment. Finally, the monster class members we can get to the party can gain special abilities by taking the power of the monsters they defeated in the fight and changing their shape.
If we count the main characters who can join the party of other characters, there are about the party members in the game. Some characters can only be included in the group if certain conditions are met. You can create 3 teams of 5 people and choose which one you can switch to before the fight. The enemies level up and get stronger with your team. You can see your opponents on the map and depending on your running speed there is a chance to avoid the challenges. The opponents you will encounter in boss fights have a fixed power. If you give the game your hours and grind, it is possible to beat these opponents easily.
You really need to pay attention to strengthening the characters. For example, Red, one of the most suitable characters for the beginning, becomes a very strong warrior after his hero return, but he cannot transform when there are other members in his team, so he can be destroyed in one hit. That's why you have to get them into battle as a human being with simple fights and team tactics and make them stronger. You can also transform when the rest of the team is destroyed or blinded by the enemy, but leaving it to chance can be too risky.
What Innovations Has Remaster Bred To Us?
SaGa Frontier Remastered was presented to us by Square Enix as a renewed version of the PlayStation 1 game that came to the west in 1998. We have a 24-year-old game, isn't it necessary to offer innovations while presenting it to the new generation of players? Let's take a look at what's new.
All character images have been re-drawn and background images have been upscaled. The interface has been made more accessible. In the PC version, the opportunity to play with keyboard + mouse is provided. It is a feature that I have never used except the menus, but it is nice to have options. The New Game + option, which has become a standard in new generation games, is also here.
The most functional features added to the game are the addition of the "Story" section where you can follow where you are in the story and what you need to do, the speed boost option and the autosave feature where you can increase the speed of the game 2 or 3 times as you wish. Increasing the game speed really works. Fights, animations, transitions between maps are good at first, but you can benefit from the acceleration feature while doing the same things to grind. For example, when playing with Red, it saves you from the thought of "Okay, you are the most hero, return now I will beat them". Just keep in mind that when you increase the speed, monsters have the same speed increase. When you try to escape, you are very likely to go head to head.
The improvements made in the game are not limited to visual or systemic changes. There are also things that were planned to be added to the original SaGa Frontier game but were dropped due to budget and time constraints. The cut scenes that cause gaps in the stories of some characters are added to the game with Remastered. In this way, the story was made a little more meaningful. Fuse, a completely new character, has a script that will allow us to see the stories of other characters from a different perspective. The new soundtrack of the Fuse script was composed and added to the game by Kenji Ito, who made the music of the original game.
Result
SaGa Frontier Remastered, which has been renewed visually, has been improved in terms of gameplay, comes with a brand new character and the deficiencies of the old character stories, has succeeded in being a successful version that appeals not only to the players who will just start the game, but also to the fans who have taken the juice out of the game before. It is a game that has successfully preserved its roots from the PlayStation 1 era, but has been renewed in a way that can attract new generation players.
I enjoyed playing a game that gathered around certain audiences in time and reached a level that can be considered as classic. SaGa Frontier Remastered is definitely a very well revamped game, but it is not a game that can appeal to all players.
If you are interested in JRPG genre, old-fashioned games, and an experience where the game does not hold you by your hand and tell you everything to do, give this game a try if it appeals to you visually as well. It has features that we do not encounter much, such as its non-linear structure, each character having its own story, and still being included in the stories of other characters.
The price is acceptable for the game that promises an adventure of at least 70 - 80 hours. But if you want a game that has graphics suitable for the new generation, dazzles with its gameplay, and you can fight against enemies even without grind, I cannot recommend SaGa Frontier Remastered. You can still give it a shot.
Journey to the Realm of Dream - My Review of DARQ: Complete Edition
With this version, I'm going on a spooky journey in the realm of dreams. It invites us to an extraordinary adventure with its art style and spooky atmosphere reminiscent of Tim Burton's movies. The Switch version of the spooky puzzle / platform game, previously released on PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One, will allow you to experience the adventure anywhere.
Our main goal in ***DARQ: Complete Edition***, which is in the dreams of a boy named Lloyd, is to make Lloyd awaken. Lloyd, who is in a state of dream awareness called "**Lucid dream**", has to reach his bed to get out of his dreams, but every time he lies down, he reaches the deeper points of the dream. While trying to reach our bed thanks to the puzzles we solved by defying gravity in the beginning, in the following sections, we are trying to wake up by activating strange mechanisms and hiding from dangerous beings.
Pros
+ Spooky atmosphere
+ Creative puzzles
+ I loved your art style
+ Non-boring gameplay
+ Interesting enemy designs
Cons
-Could be a little longer
- Poor in terms of story
Normally I would talk about the story longer, but DARQ: Complete Edition does not have a very long story nor does it tell much. As we go into the depths of the dream, things get more eerie, we see minor changes in our house, the inhabitants of the dream become more awkward and dangerous.
It is possible to complete the main story within an average of 5 hours. The DLC packs "**The Tower**" and "**The Crypt**" added later to the game come with DARQ: Complete Edition. With DLC packs that do not have a huge impact on the story, it is possible to find all the hidden things in close to 10 hours.

Storage: 3 GB available space
**SUGGESTED:**
Operating System: Windows 7/8/10, 64-bits
Processor: Intel Core i7

Please Don't Blast Dynamite In The Moving Train
According to the story, we are trying to get rid of the lucid dream state we are stuck in with our astral body in the depths of our dreams. To achieve this, we have to go to our bed, but there are a lot of obstacles in our way. The puzzles of the game are really interesting and you have to find the solution yourself as there is no educational part.
In the main story, there are puzzles of the type that we are used to, such as opening all locks by pressing the keys on the ground, catching the platform without falling with the right timing, and opening the doors by adjusting the path of the electricity. There are also puzzles in which we try to make the dynamite explode by changing the gravity, arrange the mysterious key in accordance with a clue that we do not even realize there is a clue, and fight against time to stop an enemy coming towards us. With the DLC packages, the diversity increases with the puzzles that we solve by changing the location and can only be done using our head.
The puzzles are well balanced in difficulty. Someone who has played puzzle / platformer type games before will quickly grab the main idea. This doesn't mean the puzzles are simple, though. There were times when I couldn't solve some puzzles because I was thinking one way, and when I finally found it, I said “it was too simple”. In addition, there was a puzzle in which the camera showed the enemy coming on me, which I had a lot of difficulty, and this had a great effect on my joycon drift problem. It was annoying to have to wait until he died when he realized he was screwing the puzzle.
We die when caught by enemies in the game. The game does not impose such a big penalty that we die for death. Even when the Checkpoint system threw the furthest away - I played the game without any trouble since I lost a maximum of 1 minute.
The atmosphere of the game is very successful. Our adventure, which started in the building, continues in various areas such as the subway station, the city center and a moving train. Each region has its own system and puzzles specific to the episode. The successful sounds that complement the atmosphere are by Bjørn Jacobsen, who worked on **Hitman** and **Cyberpunk 2077**.
There is a spooky atmosphere in the game but it is not a scary game. The environment, sounds and especially the designs of other beings are good enough to disturb you, but it was a little disappointing for me to choose jumpscare to scare you. The use of Jumpscare is not too much, but it draws attention when the game is short. There is also a puzzle that causes us to die if we cannot solve it in time. It is very well thought out, but it is not fun when there is a drift problem in joycons.
Result
With the main game and DLC packs, the game has a gameplay time of close to 10 hours. Dark: Complete Edition is a good game with quality puzzles reminiscent of Inside and Little Nightmares. The atmosphere is pretty good, but I wish the story would take a slightly more detailed way, a way that made the actor feel a little closer to the character.
The Nintendo Switch version of the game looks pretty good both on the dock and in handheld mode. It is a fact that the best platform for those who want to play these types of puzzle games outside and solve a puzzle or two while waiting for something is the Switch. However, some of the scenes in the play can jump from your place unintentionally and cause you to attract attention. The selling price of the game for Nintendo Switch is set at $ 20.
If you want to solve creative puzzles and experience a different adventure in a spooky atmosphere, I can recommend DARQ: Complete Edition with peace of mind.
One Click, I'm In The Big Adventure - Balan Wonderworld
I found a nice game again. I look at the overall structure and gameplay dynamics of the game that took me to a strange wonderland.
Pros
+ There are good ideas
+ Musics
+ Different visuals
+ Character designs
+ 80 different costumes
Cons
- Bad and cumbersome gameplay
- Repetitive structure
-Bad decisions made
- Storytelling is bad / absent
- Most of the costumes have useless features
- Costume system badly applied
- One-button play enforcement
The game is a platform game created by the creators of Sonic the Hedgehog and attracts attention with its different visual style. Balan Wonderland, a new game that Yuji Naka took over many years later, is also the producer's only chance to prove himself to Square Enix. How well did he use this chance? Let's examine it together.
Balan Wonderworld comes up with a very interesting topic. but that wouldn't be true. The main story of the game is that they choose one of the two main characters of the game, Leo and Emma, find themselves in Balan's world after their personal problems and help other people. In the strange land we come from, we go to the world of 12 different people and make them cope with the problems they experience. We ensure that people get rid of their bad sides by beating the person who has a problem and dancing together afterwards. On the other hand, we are trying to balance our own hearts.

What's Happening to These People
First, let's look at the problems of our main characters Leo and Emma. Leo performs cool dance moves on the street, while the kids around him applaud him, and all of a sudden our character drives away from him and away from the environment. I guess he's sorry for a lost friendship, but we don't have a chance to understand that from the prologue. Emma, on the other hand, lives in a huge mansion full of servants. The servants whispered behind Emma and avoid direct contact with her. This situation makes Emma very sad and she leaves the house and finds herself in Balan's place. Here comes Balan with a very nice intermediate video, we give both children a "chick" and we head out to Wonderworld where they will help others to balance their own hearts.
The main story takes us to worlds where different people's hearts are broken as a result of the problems they go through and are captured by an evil being and turned into monsters. In fact, these people look quite normal at the beginning of the episode, but at the end we learn about their troubles and face them. We help people with serious problems, such as a farmer struggling with a storm, a clown who has trouble making a girlfriend, an engineer who can't fly his plane, and a diver who, I don't understand, gets a tail blow from his dolphin friend.
The story we learn through intermediate videos in certain parts of the episodes (usually at the last part) does not mean much. For some reason, the storytelling reminded me of Souls games. It is another matter that although there are more intermediate videos, he cannot explain less and explain it properly. For example, I still could not find an answer to the questions "Why did that dolphin hit the diver, why did they get upset, why did they make peace after dancing". Intermediate videos are great, but the storytelling is bad.
It is also clear that Balan is a very powerful entity, we do not understand why he needs us. We explode the rocks that appear out of nowhere in the episodes of "Balan's ", which we reach by finding his hat in each episode, and shatter the rocks that I guess are the source of evil, but I still haven't been able to connect this with the story.
One Click Big Adventure
The game, which has not achieved a great success on the story side, has the chance to make up for this shortcoming with more than eighty costumes and talent, and enjoyable platform-type gameplay. After all, Yuji Naka, the head of Sonic, one of the best-known names of platform games, is at the beginning of this game and it is his only chance to prove himself. So if you expect innovative gameplay and a great gaming experience that flows like water, I would say don't wait in vain.
Our main character is just a kid who has the ability to jump. All keys except the arrow keys allow the child to jump. Unaware of what is going to happen to us, we think, "So as the costumes arrive, new abilities will be added to these keys." After all, there are at least 80 costumes, and each one has its own skill. I guess they will not make a game that can only be played with a single button in 2021. It would be an indie game, but after all, this is a game published by Square Enix, with well-known names behind it.
There are 12 people in Balan's world who need our help. Each of them has its own world and each world has its own unique costumes. The most important thing about the costumes is that each one has its own special abilities. There are lots of costumes such as a fire-spitting dragon, jellyfish with electric jumping ability, sheep that hover in the air, a wheel to operate the mechanisms, and a fox that allows us to turn into boxes when the head is blown. The costumes are everything of the character because our character is dysfunctional on his own. Our character, whose only skill is jumping, cannot stop them even if he jumps on the heads of the enemies without his costume. The enemies we can stop even with unqualified costumes, the only benefit of which is to be a night light, become immortal without the costume.
The costume system may have been a very interesting and enjoyable system, but it didn't. As we thought that the abilities open up as the costumes arrived, it really does open, but there is one condition, only talent in one costume. Want to spit fire? Then say goodbye to your jumping feature. Did the fight suddenly start while trying to reach far away in the lizard costume? You will probably be hit and lose the costume until you change the costume. Want to combine two costume skills and develop tactics? You have no chance outside of co-op.
Who came out of the idea of playing the game on a single button, who supported this idea and why did anyone say "What are you doing?" I am very curious. Even the PlayStation 1 platform games were not that cumbersome. There is a costume called the sickle, for example, he throws a sickle as the name implies. Aside from the fact that this costume doesn't bounce, the sickles you throw go somewhere according to your head. One thinks that I will switch to a costume that has the ability to jump and then go back to the other one, after all, we can carry 3 different costumes at the same time. But this time, animation of long change comes into play. You stop for a single jump move, change costumes, jump, then change costumes again and continue on your way. The fluency of the department is flying away.
Changes Talent Like Changing Costumes
There is one more point that sticks in my mind about the costumes. We cannot buy the costumes directly, we need to find the key first and then buy the costume. But the keys are usually next to the costume, at most a very short distance away, and the more we get, the more new ones come. It is a system that has no effect on gameplay and is only made to waste time. Since we lose the costume when it is hit, it becomes very annoying when we need to return and buy a new one.
The fighting part is a little awkward. Depending on the costume you have, you attack the enemy or jump on the head. It is possible to run away from the enemies that appear out of nowhere and make them disappear. The enemies at the mini boss level protecting the doors and the boss fights contain mini games. Mini bosses usually make copies of themselves and you have to hit the real thing. Boss fights are the most enjoyable ones. Each boss can take damage in three different ways, with the help of the costumes you have. Every different attack you make rewards you with one of the Balan statues that you have to collect in the game. Boss fights are generally very simple but visually the most enjoyable. Of course, there are some annoying details such as if you lose the costume you have to wear in the final boss fight of the game, you will not be able to complete the fight and have to start over.
The biggest problem of the gameplay is that it seems to be made with the logic of "a structure so simple that children can play" and it is full of unnecessary things that even adults can be nervous about. When the children see that they cannot shoot or jump, they give up the game (tried), the adults are bored with the time-consuming details despite the simplicity of the game. The game fails to reach both groups of players.
I would also like to touch upon the episodes of "Balan's Wonderworld", which look very beautiful but become boring in a short time. One of the sculptures we need to progress in the game is taken from these sections. In the episode where we control Balan, we try to stop various rocks in a deep blue place and sometimes the arch enemy Lance. It progresses with the QTA sequences where we try to press the right button at the right moment. You have to do all of them perfectly to get the statue, but after a while you get bored because you are doing the same things all the time. The location change according to the episode, the contribution of our fight to the story, has no connection with the events. Always the same place, always the same music and always the same things. At least if you changed the background. The point system is also very brutal. With 3 gold and 2 silver degrees, I have achieved an unimaginable achievement such as winning a total of bronze hats.
Finally, I will talk about the main venue where we made the selection of departments. In the Hub area, there is a small side quest played with the chick-type animals named Tim, which Balan gave us. We find these types named Tim in the sections we visit and feed them with the crystals we collect. When you come over the flower of the right color and throw the crystals, it is lunch time. Tims eat these and grow up, and sometimes new Tim hatches eggs. Then they play games on the slide in the middle of the zone and make a counter run. The higher their number, the faster the counter rotates. The counter advancing as you stand in the zone unlocks more game tools. If you leave the game open in this area and go, you can make the tower rise continuously. I have neither understood nor intended to understand the purpose of this secondary task. At the end of the episode, I managed to feed the animals and raise the tower, but the lack of goal made me lose my motivation. Probably an area made for players who want to do it 100%.
Balan's Visual Feast
So far, we've talked about the bad or annoying parts of the game. Let's talk a little bit about the beautiful sides. I really liked the game visually. The designs of the characters, NPCs and costumes are beautiful. Again, character designer Naoto Ohsima, whom we know from the Sonic series, did a very good job. The atmosphere is almost amazing. The creatures dancing around (all showing our upcoming costumes) are human and a colorful world the episode is about.
The episode designs are not too bad, but the repetitive zones start to draw your attention when you have to go back to the beginning to get the costume you lost with one hit. The game is sort of self-sabotaging. Also, the characters dancing around with joy disappear suddenly when you approach and reappear when you move away, which you cannot understand until you see how absurd it is. Sometimes the characters that appear to congratulate you when you pass through the checkpoint areas disappear before the music starts. I don't know why something like this happens, but I always manage to laugh because of the absurdity of the situation. If only the characters hadn't disappeared.
The music is very good. Episode music, martial music, songs played on the dance scene, all of them are music that can be listened to with pleasure. Of course, there are minor problems in some episodes such as the music not being suitable for the environment. No matter how good it is, music that is unrelated to the rest of the episode can be disturbing. If you want to play the PC version of the game at 1080p / 60 FPS, it is recommended to have a Ryzen 5 1400 / i5 - 6400 processor, RX480 / GTX 1060 graphics card and 16 GB RAM. It is recommended to have 20 GB of free space, but the size of the game is around 14 GB. I was able to play the game without any performance problems on the PC, which is slightly above the recommended system.
Result
I have been criticizing the game well and badly from the beginning of the article. When I reread what I wrote, I felt that it gave an air of almost dislike the game. Actually, there were parts of the game that I enjoyed, I saw ideas that I liked. I am sure I would praise it much more if this game was not a game that included famous producers, released by Square Enix and sold with a price tag of $ 60. It is like an indie game that looks extremely beautiful in its current form and has great music. It might be a game that I can say "They tried some things and they can improve themselves by learning from their mistakes in their next game" but we all know that there is no such thing.
The visuals are great, the intermediate videos are visually high quality but meaningless, the music is awesome, the character designs are very nice, but there is a potential that would be considered bad even years ago, wasted due to gameplay and bad decisions that could not fully appeal to any audience.
For Sci-Fi Game Lovers - My Review of Outriders
In my Outriders review content, I will try to convey my experiences about the game and what you need to know as much as I can. Is it worth buying Outriders together? We will look for the answer to your question. Published by Square Enix and developed by People Can Fly, which has gained the trust of players in FPS games, this new RPG contains the strengths of both names. Let's first see how it was the first impression the game left on us.
Pros
+ The story is general and binding
+ The storytelling and dialogues are delicious
+ User-friendly customizations
+ World Tier system
+ Successful artificial intelligence enemies
Cons
- The pairing system is problematic
- Crossplay is disabled for now
- Visual quality is well below expectation
-Performance issues
- Gameplay problems
While enjoying the magnificent view, mosquitoes can bite all over you. This means that it is an experience where you will have nice things at first but then annoying. Outriders, a third person game decorated with RPG elements, had aspects that I both loved and did not like so much. When I put the grand total on the table, I can say that I left with the thought of "it could be better" but satisfied with the game. It is not yet a separation, but I recommend you to read carefully what I will pass on.
The story of the game is about the struggle of human beings who are seeking colonization after the destruction of the Earth. After our planet turns black and disappears, we manage to kidnap a limited number of people with two large spaceships. While one of the ships is sent off to eternity in the desolate horizons of space - that is, while exploding - the other manages to hold on to life. The survivors find a planet to colonize and ultimately send their vanguard troops, or Outriders, there.
Although the vanguard troops were very similar to Earth before, they sense strangeness on the planet. As such, we start research studies. The planet is also home to some technological materials that will be useful for us. When we say we are trying to collect them, we realize what a big shit hole the planet we fall into, so to speak. An unusual storm of anomalies has embraced the planet and devouring everything that gets in its way. It sends waves of energy that turn people into ashes when they come into contact like a lightning strike. Of course, instead of killing some people, this grants them divine powers. As you can imagine, our main character is an Outrider who somehow got his share of these powers and became "Altered".
The storm we fall into is killing the entire Outrider team that set out with us. Although we insist, the commander of the vanguard unit refuses to say to the onboard, "Do not get down here, this is not a place to live" and people are starting to colonize it. Of course, we kill him before the storm eats and swallows him. We are getting cold at least. But at that time, we crash down severely injured as a result of an explosion, and one of the crew next to us freezes us in a tube called "Cyro" before leaving.
When we wake up, we open our eyes to a completely different world. 31 years have passed and some important names have managed to live together with our teammate who saved us. In this world where mankind has colonized, he has fought war and the Altereds, who have superior abilities like us, provide the balance. As an Altered, we join our old friends' side. For our Outriders review content, it will be enough to mention the story that much. If we tell about the ongoing process, we will touch on the parts that may be spoilers for possible players. Let's add that the story is linear and the narration is enhanced by cinematics. It should also be noted that these cinematics and dialogues are very well designed and tell the story without upsetting or boring the actor.
They kept the character customization thing superficial
You can adjust what your character looks like when starting the game, so at least within some restrictions. First of all, know that it is not possible to make any adjustments to your character's body. You can only customize the face, hair and scars. Was it really so necessary to customize wounds? It is discussed. I can even go a little further and say that it was included just for content. You create the face and hair by choosing from the presets. In addition, it is possible to make changes such as skin color, hair color and eye color. If you wish, you can create a wild, harsh-looking character like the one on the left, or you can create a character that will enter the shampoo and skin care product ads as I did. I removed the scar on his face immediately after taking the screenshot.
The World Tier feature is pretty nice
There is a system that adjusts the toughness of the world and the difficulty of the game as you progress in the game. This system called World Tier comes as "auto increase" in default options. What does it mean? It is like this; As you progress through the story, your difficulty level progresses in the form of World Tier 1-2-3-4. While the difficulty increases a little more at each level, the quality of the rewards you receive increases proportionally. Of course, you can feel this very clearly when you go a little further, the boss battles become brutal; You cannot resist too much when you are caught between 3-4 enemies. Outriders also allows us to make adjustments for players who are not satisfied with this situation. If you wish, you can say "Let the World Tier increase as I progress" or you can disable this option. Let us remind you, it comes with the default open.
If you ask me, keep this setting on until the enemies start to wear you out. There are 15 different levels in total, and when you run out, you can choose the level that challenges you the sweetest and stay there. I can say that this actually guides you in setting the difficulty while warming up to the game. Especially in a game like Outriders, it has been a great advantage.
RPG elements and equipment variety
We are in one of the most crucial parts of our Outriders review content. Every player asks an RPG game to be able to develop and customize their character in any direction they want. In this game, RPG elements are densely processed and appear as a strong aspect. After a certain part of the story - I can't say, spoiler - you are asked to choose your character's class. There are four main classes in the game, and their advantages, disadvantages and contributions to team play are different.
Let's briefly talk about classes. First, you can choose Technomancer in the support role. This class is not meant to deal high damage or attract enemies, but to help teammates. We can call it the most effective class for team tactics. In addition, the Pyromancer, who can deal high damage at medium range but is fragile, helps to clear other enemies around, especially in boss battles, by spitting fire. Although the damage is high, we can qualify it as a kind of support class.
The Trickster class, on the other hand, can be called the killing machine form of cyber ninjas adorned with magical powers. These characters, who are completely damage-oriented but very fragile, can bear the boss battles alone when they get enough support. Of course, a thick ankle and a strong shoulders tank is always a necessity in every team. The Devastator class, which I have chosen, is one-on-one to interrupt the attacks of enemies who cast over long periods of time with crowd control and abilities. At the same time, with his high health values, he bears the damage his team will take, allowing others to do their jobs comfortably.
When you choose one of these four classes, you are on a path of no return. The levels, abilities and items you gain with your character can only be used for a single class. You have to create new characters to try different classes. Each class also has its own skill tree and hundreds of passive abilities that it can activate. The diversity in the talent tree that branches off helps you determine your style of play. Let's say that it is also successful in this regard.
Speaking of classes, let's also point out that each of them has their own unique active abilities and it is essential to use them. In order to give you the clearest experience, I will talk about the capabilities of the tank class because I have used it extensively and the game in some real sense compelled me to do so. I liked the quality of the talent animations. The abilities are also very well adjusted in terms of their effects and balancing the game. Even if you are a tank, you can take your life without the need for a technomancer. You have the right to select three abilities to use at the same time, and the skills unlock as you level up with your character. You may even need to do a SWOT analysis while selecting these three capabilities. Also, your items can be combined with your abilities.
To give a simple example, my character has a skill called "Earthquake". When I use it, I can both damage the characters in front of me and upset their balance. The feature of the helmet I use is that when I use this earthquake ability, it creates a bleeding effect on the enemies I damage. In this sense, the event of combining items that we can call indispensable for RPG games with abilities has been handled very well in Outriders. There is also a wide variety of item skins. As you level up your weapon, it not only gets stronger on paper, stronger weapons also have different looks. Along with that, there are weapon and armor modifications, and by giving your items the features you want, you can "create your own build" that we know from RPGs. This is a nice feature that allows you to choose your own direction in fast battles. I must say I liked it very much.
Third person gameplay mechanics are a bit of a controversy. The toughness of the feeling of hitting makes it different from enemy to enemy. While you really feel that you are hitting weaker and smaller enemies, the bullets you shoot at enemies that are large in size and heavily armored only lower your life. However, you can also break their balance by using talent against them. If we look at this tactically, it makes sense, but it seems a little strange in gameplay that the gun that shook me on the computer did not shake the enemy.
I also need to mention the quality of artificial intelligence. You will struggle with well-designed artificial intelligence that you are not used to seeing in such games. PvE has been given the right in this matter. Artificial intelligence attaches you by saying that the defense "does not just defend" the place it should be, the best defense to repel you is the attack. And if the difficulty is above a certain level, you feel that you are really making an effort to cross a zone. People Can Fly has done a really good job on this.
Although I play the PC version of Outriders, it should be underlined that the game is also available for new generation consoles. Unfortunately, the chronic illnesses of Unreal Engine 4 affected this game very badly in terms of graphics. The image and texture loading of moving objects look awful. The game looks better at high settings than at ultra settings.
In addition to all this low visual quality, it puts an enormous load on the processor. I think they compute the particle systems of the game with the CPU, not the GPU. This causes an unnecessary load on the processor. Stuttering occurs when drawing models and textures where you look for the first time. Although it decreases after a while, when you first enter the game, you have to walk around for a few minutes and wait for it to recover. This is a situation experienced by almost all players in general. Square Enix has announced that it will fix the situation, but for now, know that this part is annoying.
I could not find any teammates in Outriders, whose instant player number is around 100,000. Yes! I have no idea how the matchmaking system works, but since I could not find a few people out of a hundred thousand players to include me in their games, it does not work well. I spent a long time searching for a team to test the online experience of the game. I finally found it, but if I had progressed alone, I would have finished half of an episode during this time. However, as you know, cross-platform games have turned into a problem as of now. I cannot say that the cooperative playing feature, which is the most dominant aspect of the game, works very well. Nevertheless, in case there is a regulation on this subject in the future, I leave this paragraph open and give it a chance not to affect the final opinion. This section may be updated in the future.
Long story short
Let's collect what we mentioned in the Outriders review content. His story is superficial enough to frustrate pure sci-fi fans, but also comprehensive enough to quickly grasp those unfamiliar with the sci-fi genre. The storytelling is enhanced with cinematics, and we can tune in to the camera shake event in these cinematics. It is a game that I can recommend in terms of both narration and accessibility. The gameplay mechanics make you feel like you are playing really fast and under pressure. RPG elements add flavor to the flavor of this. If the technical problems weren't that annoying, I could recommend it to you with peace of mind. However, I recommend that you wait for a while for now. I will also update our Outriders review content if the problems are corrected by following the game in the future. This is all I was going to tell you in this review, we hope to see you in another review. Stay with love and play.
Cozy and Immersive Gameplay - It Takes Two My Review

In the game, we witness the story of a couple named May and Cody. With a miracle we are used to seeing in fairy tales, our couple finds themselves trapped inside dolls. While May is trapped inside a puppet toy, we see Cody as a toy made of clay. In the first place, our couple, who quarreling like cats and dogs, are starting to face both the mistakes they make and the problems in their marriage, while they are looking for ways to get back to their bodies.
Pros
+ Fun story presentation
+ Colorful graphics
+ Never ending action
+ Creative department designs
+ Dynamics changing from start to finish
+ Puzzle and task structure
Cons
- Camera use can leave you in a dilemma
- There is no penalty system
It Takes Two contains fantastic elements as storytelling. The humorous structure and fun gameplay progress in a very balanced way in the game, which offers a different adventure in each part. Sometimes you feel like you are in a romantic comedy movie and sometimes you get the taste of Toy Story. Moreover, the game progresses dynamically from the moment it starts and prevents the player from getting bored.
Fun co-op dynamics
Hazelight studio has managed to keep the game very dynamic. The biggest source of this dynamism is the constantly changing gameplay elements. You walk around the different parts of the house, take a trip to the tree house in the backyard or suddenly find yourself in the void of space. In this process, you fight against donkeys, escape from squirrels linked to the chain of command, or you have to face the anger of a broom thrown in a corner on the shore.
System requirements
**MINIMUM:**

Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 or AMD R7 260x
DirectX: Version 11
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Storage: 50 GB available space
**SUGGESTED:**
Requires 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows 8.1 64-bit or Windows 10 64-bit
Processor: Intel Core i5 3570K or AMD Ryzen 3 1300x
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 or AMD R9 290X
DirectX: Version 11
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Storage: 50 GB available space
Our characters are endowed with so many beautiful features in each level that advancing with these features or solving the puzzles you encounter prevents you from breaking the game. Moreover, these features are designed for the characters to move together. For example, in one episode, Cody fires an explosive substance, and May fires the fuse that makes it explode. While one of you is walking on the wall, the other shrinks and grows, you can control the time and put a clone, or one of you becomes a nail and the other a hammer, and you try to solve the puzzles you encounter accordingly.
**In short**, we can say that the company has established a nice balance in each department and has made this progress an enjoyable structure with its different features. You are faced with so many fantastic events and gameplay dynamics that I can say that you admire the imagination of the production team. The production team summarized this situation with the statement "we added whatever comes to mind".
It Takes Two adorns this whole adventure with its successful visuals. There is a lot of thought on both character designs and episode designs. You feel like you are lost in Pixar animations. The change in the visuality with the changing sections contributes to the integrity of the game. In addition, the puzzles are designed in a simple but enjoyable way. So they don't force you, but they require you to think a little bit to figure it out.
The music does not stand out, but they contribute to the dynamics of the gameplay. The game is very successful in vocalization. Apart from our main characters, the side characters are also very well voiced. My favorite in this regard is definitely Dr. Judge. Hakim, who can also be called the Book of Love, tries to rekindle the love between our characters by helping us throughout the game and sometimes as a shackle. Of course, while doing this, the unique expressions and tones we listen to have managed to add a great color to the game.
This structure in the game, which does not have any punishment system, gets you used to a little comfort. Okay, the team preferred this, but even if you die, being born back immediately prevents you from avoiding the events in the game. You start to leap into the dark, running towards the heart of danger. The biggest point I have in the dilemma in the game is the use of the camera. The company applied to the cut screen system, just like in the A Way Out game. So whether you play on the same device or online, you are moving on a split screen. It is possible to get used to this situation in a short time, but from time to time, I can say that unlike A Way Out, I felt that this system was not needed in this game.
**As a result,** It takes Two has a storytelling that you can play with a friend as well as play and share something with your spouse or child. It Takes Two has already managed to become one of the most prominent productions of this year. We have a game that deserves all the praise with its gameplay dynamics, storytelling and most importantly its dynamic structure from the beginning to the end.
For Action Lovers - My Review of Valorant
With a sudden surprise by the Riot Games team, I am looking at how Valorant has changed since its closed beta.
Valorant, Riot Games' first games outside of League of Legends, was the company's first competitive FPS development experience. For the game, which went through a long closed beta process, a gesture was made to the players by moving the release date forward. For about a week, was the full game really ready to come out of the closed beta?
Why did Riot Games decide to release their games directly instead of the open beta process? What level of experience does Valorant offer now and what kind of Valorant awaits us in the future? I will try to answer these questions based on our experience.
Pros
+ Free
+ Total games of this genre
+ Presence of strict rules for cheaters
+ Fun gameplay mechanics
Cons
- Although it is a full version, it feels beta
- Weapon balance and unequal functionalities
- Failure to fully balance the agents
Riot Games had chosen a system that provides access with Twitch drops for these games. You had to watch the game in order to play it in the closed beta version of the game. The idea of gaining access by watching the game was quite logical, actually. If you were curious about the game and what you watched liked it, you could win the right to play. Once you gained access to the game's closed beta, you could download and play the game directly.
Although there were some annoying bugs during the closed beta process, it was thought to be resolved until the full version. For example, it is very important to hear in such competitive FPS games. From your opponent's steps, you try to guess where he is. However, for Valorant, this issue was a bit frustrating. Because your enemies appeared in the opposite position from the direction you heard them.
I don't even remember how many times I was beaten this way. The mobility of the characters, on the other hand, gave a really limited feeling. There was almost no difference between walking and running. As for the variety of weapons, although there were apparently sufficient numbers, most weapons were useless. In other words, there were three or four weapons that were actively preferred in the game.
In general, Valorant, which offers content in this way, resolved many errors during the beta process. Let's see what this production has changed, developed and come across since the beta process.
How is Valorant doing now?
First of all, there is not much difference in the interface part of the game, except for location changes. Everything is in place, obviously, even with this new positioning, the field control has been made more functional. You can easily access your friends and quickly enter the game.
The first thing I noticed when we came across the encounter and came to the agent selection screen was the agent animations. When you choose the agent you want to play, animations have been prepared in a different way for each one. These animations, on the other hand, show some of the abilities of the characters, and they say a word of their own. After this point, when the match starts, we see a few changes.
The audio accuracy problem, which I just mentioned above and one of the most annoying errors, is now resolved. So if a character's voice comes from the right, that character doesn't come out from your left. This arrangement even increases the enjoyment of the game.
In addition, you may encounter some in-game interface problems during matches in Valorant. So much so that in certain encounters, your character's abilities and health indicator completely disappear from the screen. It was a rare problem that I had for about 20-30 hours of play time. It can get really annoying when you come across it though.
Some dots left intact
There are almost no changes to the game's weapon balance. Weapons that are actively used during the beta remain popular in this version as well. The use of weapons, on the other hand, is not the usual type. Frankly, I wish Valorant was a production with gun balance.
The main reason for this instability in weapons is that the recoil dynamics of the weapons are a bit weird. Obviously, with a lot of guns in this game, even if you are aiming in the right place, the bullets can point at very ridiculous positions. These dynamics, which provide "lucky shots" most of the time, can sometimes undermine the enjoyment you get from the game.
Valorant also has the feature of passing bullets through walls, which is found in other games of this genre. However, this system works a little differently. The guns' bullets are logically planned so that they pass through the corners of the doors and thin walls. Still, the structure of some walls can keep this rule flexible.
For example, when you squeeze it through a wall that is both thin and between two doors, the bullet reaches your opponent. In fact, although it should not go through in longitudinal terms, your calculations turn out to be wrong, and you are left with a hit.
What about the gameplay dynamics?
Valorant is a game where every bullet you shoot counts. This requires you to plan your game strategy well and put it to life correctly with your team. Because the smallest mistake you make ends up dead and thus losing the tour. Your reflexes are of great importance in this regard.
Every decision you make is of great importance, as there are fewer rounds in every match you participate in, compared to other similar games. If you make the wrong decisions and keep losing rounds, your team economy really collapses. When it comes to this point, it may take a great miracle to get back into the game.
Especially playing on the attacking side on all maps is a struggle in itself. Area control can be achieved much more easily while on the defender side. While most Spike areas have multiple ways to enter, almost all of them are through narrow gates. If you're not careful, your opponents can punish you instantly.
Despite all these difficulties, it is possible to set up Spike with the right steps. Here, too, we run into another minor problem. Once the spike is installed, the sound becomes quicker as the explosion approaches. So far everything is very good, no problem seems to be. However, these sounds can be very surprising at some point.
For example, you run away from a Spike that you think you don't have a time frame to solve, but you actually see that there is still time to explode. This time, you don't have time to go back and you lose the tour. Of course, it could be just because I was paying too much attention. However, when you do encounter it, it can be a little annoying.
What's new in Valorant?
As you know, Valorant was completely unavailable for a week before transitioning from closed beta to full version. During this period, Riot Games had the opportunity to introduce a few content to be added to Valorant. These contents included a battle ticket, a new map, game mode, and character.
The battle ticket system that accompanies us at the exit of the game is actually something we have seen in the game lately. With these tickets available in two different versions, you get in-game cosmetics and content as you play. The Valorant war ticket, which comes in two different forms, paid and free, fulfills this task properly.
Ascent, Valorant's new map, adds a new two mechanics to the game. While putting the use of the environment into our lives with doors that can be opened and closed, it also provides the opportunity to pass through some breakable areas. Obviously, the Ascent has a transition with only one breakable glass, but this is also at a critical point. This road, which leads to one of the spike building areas, is one of the passages that should be used carefully.
Doors that can be opened and closed are obviously not very effective either. These doors, which can be broken very quickly with a few bullets of the opponent after closing, provide minimal benefit to your team. Yet when your team lacks Sage's ability to create walls, he's a mechanic who comes to your aid. It wouldn't be bad to see a few similar environmental factors on other maps as well.
Spike Rush, Valorant's second game mode, which was added with its release, offered a much faster experience than I expected. First of all, the matches consist of four rounds in total, and your equipment selection is randomly determined during the pre-tour preparation period. In this mode, where all members on the attacking side have a Spike, the location of the ability spheres in the environment has been changed with various effects.
By collecting these special effect orbs, depending on the type of orb, you can put your opponent at a disadvantage and provide various enhancements for your team. For example, a sphere in this mode instantly makes your team's ultimate abilities available. Or another sphere, for a short time, reduces your opponent's health to a level that you can beat in one hit.
What is new agent Reyna up to do?
One of the most exciting developments about the release of the game was that Valorant will be out with eleven agents in total. Reyna, who surfaced days before the game's release, suddenly caused the actors to be excited. Being the first new agent to come to the game was obviously the biggest factor of this.
After about two months, a new agent, besides the basic agents, was joining. In the promotional video of Reyna, although we didn't see all of her skills or gameplay in great detail, it was more or less clear what kind of gameplay she would offer. When this character joined the game, everyone competed with each other to play.
All of Reyna's talents are focused on dealing with rivals directly. As you defeat your opponents, you can collect the remaining spheres from them to restore your health points or gain immunity for a short time. Likewise, another skill that serves this purpose is the eyeball left in a field. This ability blinds the opponents who look at it in a short time in the area you are sending.
Reyna's ultimate talent is her ability to be named the empress. With this ability, the bullet rate of your gun increases and it becomes easier to see your opponents. Moreover, when you collect the spheres that fall from your opponents in this form, you can gain short-term invisibility and movement speed. In addition to one-on-one conflicts, Reyna appears as an agent who is effective against the opponent.
How does Valorant work with the Vanguard anti-cheat system?
First of all, the impact of the Vanguard anti-cheat system on your computer should be minimized. The reason I say it this way is because your computer needs to be restarted from scratch to use this system. This method actually has an understandable reason.
To keep cheaters away from the game, these people are banned directly from their hardware. The problem here is that this system, which remains open even when you are not playing the game, can have control over your computer's hardware.
Many gamers talk about their computers getting too hot and their various hardware temporarily not working due to this application. We can say that these problems have been solved to a great extent. However, during the time I played, I experienced several warming up and restrictions on mouse button control. Since it is a new system, I think these will improve over time.
Final decision
Valorant is a game that tries to include the best features of many games of its kind. Frankly, it has been doing this successfully until now. However, there are still many issues to be resolved in the game.
The skill balance between the agents in the game is an important issue here. The functionality of some characters is very important to others and makes these characters indispensable. In addition, the gameplay of these agents is important, as well as their stories.
We know the origin of all Valorant agents. Yet they are not at the level of deep character stories that let us dive into the game. We know that the Riot Games team cares about this issue and is doing it well. For this reason, I am sure that we will see a deeper background story for these characters in the future, although not for now.
Despite all of this, Valorant didn't really make me feel like a game out of beta. Obviously, it would be much better to have an open beta that all players can access after the closed beta. Although it is a very nice production, it seems like it needs a little more time to process all these elements.
Let's Immortalize Our Minds - My Review of Disintegration
Set in a not too distant future, the game introduces us to a world where humans reach immortality by transferring their minds to robots. This is a world where people have opportunities to become immortal by going through the process called integration with their own free will. The organization named Rayonne, led by our villain Black Shuck, emerges and offers people two options. They will either enter the integration process and become slaves or die.
One of the creators of the **Halo series**, Marcus Lehto left Bungie after 15 years and founded V1 Interactive, an independent game studio. Founded in 2012, V1 Interactive finally launched Disintegration, which combines FPS and strategy genres. Let's look at how successful the game, which tries to bring the two genres together, has done.
Pros
+ Fighting with gravcycle is fun
+ It has a very interesting world
+ Different multiplayer mode
+ Interesting side characters
Cons
+ Poor in multiplayer customization and number of players
+ The story is so ordinary
+ Main character too faint
+ The gameplay of the story episodes is very repetitive
+ Replay is too weak
+ High price for an independent game
Our main character, Romer Shoal, is an ex-celebrity who is also known for his integration-oriented advertisements. Tortured at the hands of Black Shuck, Shoal is rescued by a group of vigilante robots and our story begins. Our team, consisting of a group of unrelated types, turns into a resistance community as the missions progress. The story isn't bad, but it doesn't offer anything new. I can say that I have achieved most of the predictions I made about what will happen. There are also minor errors of logic. At the beginning of the story, we knock out the main villain with an iron pipe. When the robot "**passes out**" we run away. I guess you understand the main point.
The presentation of the story is made with intermediate videos and in-game talks. Before taking the mission, we can stroll through a common point reminiscent of the Anthem and Destiny games, talk to the other characters, and take the side missions called "challange". There are also conversations that will allow us to get to know the characters a little better. Then we watch the intermediate video and start the task. There is always something missing in the presentation. Conversations in the waiting area can be very meaningless. Some events take place just to make the gameplay longer. In addition, the lack of a chance to run in the assembly area gives the feeling that it was made to spend a little more time in the game. Also, I could not warm up to the main character. Someone who leaves the feeling of more of a side character. It is very enjoyable for our team members to get together.
How are Disintegration gameplay dynamics?
The game, which was originally planned to be a strategy game, has been blended with FPS to have a slightly more unique gameplay. Let's look at how far this game has been played, reminiscent of games like Command & Conquer: Renegade (FPS) and Brutal Legend (TPS).
Multiplayer
The game also has a multiplayer option. The multiplayer option, which has much more than the Gravycycle models we use in the main game, allows us to play 5v5 matches. Retrieval, where one side tries to carry bombs and the other side tries to stop it, Zone Control, where we capture and protect areas, and Collector, where we win points by killing enemies and taking falling pieces, constitute three different multiplayer modes of the game.
The choice we make from 9 different teams determines which types of weapons we will use on the map and which teammates we will have. The 9 teams, each with different looks and features, look pretty cool, but it's annoying that the customization is just to change their colors. At least it could have been a more enjoyable game if we decided which class the team members might be from. It is also annoying to be able to get the looks only with micropayments.
First of all, there is no strategy. In our flying vehicle, we overlook the region and attack the enemies. Next to us, there is a team of 3 soldiers, each of which varies in division. Our control over the soldiers does not go higher than "You all go to this point", "Everybody attack" and "You use skill". I admit that it can be very difficult to add micromanagement as the game is right now. Still, as I send my heavily armored character to stop the enemy, it is frustrating when the character with almost no life runs and eats sticks before him. They don't follow our commands too much anyway. You command to "retreat", it jumps into the enemy's lap. Since the enemy AI is at the same level with our team, we do not have much trouble. Strategically, the biggest decision is "Which talent should I use to whom".
Thanks to Gravycycle used by our main character, we have a certain control on the map. It is not very difficult to control and we are starting to show all abilities in conflicts in a short time. Our vehicle, which comes with a different weapon and armor combination in each level, also has the ability to heal friendly units. Although the strategy part is weak, the conflicts are generally enjoyable. The FPS gameplay is reminiscent of the vehicle controls of the Descent series with Overwatch's D.Va hero. The skirmishes are not boring if we exclude the episodes where enemies come that we have to defeat at least twice in order to kill. I wish we had the chance to play the levels again with different equipment and soldiers. It could have made the single player mode, which lasted about 13 hours, a little more interesting.
Graphic
The graphics of the game are very nice. They have done such a good job, especially on the environment, that I sometimes stop and watch around. We go to a different area in each section. Our story, which started in the forest region, continues in a wide geography, including destroyed cities and snowy regions. The team, who did a good job in the environment, did a slightly worse job with character modeling. Although it is obvious that a lot of work has been done on robots, there is a sense of artificiality in the characters that remain human. There was something that bothered me not only in their faces, but even in their movements in the cutscenes. Nevertheless, I can say that the graphics are one of the strengths of the game.
We came to the biggest annoyance of the multiplayer mode. Doesn't play. I had to wait a long time in front of the PC to try each mod. Although we played some really fun matches, the thought that I would wait a long time for the next time eventually made me exit the multiplayer mode completely. Of course, the low number of actors is not directly the producers' fault. The effect of the game price being higher than expected is big.

V1 Interactive, an independent game studio with **30 people**, worked hard on Disintegration. They created a beautiful world and prepared a story that would be quite impressive if told more properly. The strategy features they try to combine with FPS make them say "**It is ok or not**". On the multiplayer side, both the lack of customization and the small number of players are annoying.
Disintegration is a very good job as the first game of V1 Interactive, with its interesting world, presentation and poor replaying main story, different gameplay mechanics, multiplayer mode that needs more work to be done and graphics that look very nice. If you are interested, take a look. You will have fun while playing, but it is not a long remembered game.
Become the Last of the Clan - Ghost of Tsushima
Productions based on the Far East atmosphere have always attracted the attention of the actors. When the samurai sword is involved, both in the movies and in the games, the water flows in a way. The issues, action and upright stance that dealt with that period do not lose their importance much over the years. Ghost of Tsushima, which was released exclusively for **Playstation**, is a production that includes all these elements. So how successful is it at handling these factors? Let's take a look together.
Pros
+ The world and atmosphere of the game is fascinating
+ The fighting system that has become fun
+ Character development and armor system
+ Kurosawa mode
Cons
Artificial intelligence problems
- Similar missions that repeat themselves
- Watching the same scenes over and over again
Ghost of Tsushima focuses on the Mongol raids of 1274 and the inhabitants of Tsushima who were trying to resist these raids. In the game, we manage a character named Jin Sakai, who is the last member of the Sakai clan. The Shogun of the island, with his uncle who is the leader, is fighting against the first raids, but the samurai are defeated heavily in this war. We cannot prevent the Mongol troops from spreading to Tsushima Island, just as the Orcs' breach spreads to Helm's Deep after breaking through. Moreover, our uncle is captured after this war, and we barely save our lives. Afterwards, we become the center of a guerrilla attack against the Mongols and witness how the character turns into a Ghost.
At this point I want to open a parenthesis to the handling of Mongolian troops. The Mongols are of course portrayed as a brutal and warlike nation. But despite their cruelty, they are not treated like fools in the game. I have to say that I especially like Khotun Han scenes. The character was treated as a ruthless but sensible person. Although this situation did not deepen him, I can say that it also distanced him from being a shallow character.
First of all I want to talk about the world of the game because the most dominant aspect of Ghost of Tsushima is definitely its world. Tsushima Island, which is located in the South of Japan, between Korea and the game, has been well adapted to the game. This island, which has been handled in accordance with its original structure, contains scenic views in every aspect. We see that the island is divided into 3 parts depending on the story. On the island, where strong winds and a colder climate greet us as we move towards the north, elements such as dynamic weather are also included. With the addition of dynamic air change upon the transfer of the island so beautifully, I can say that a truly enjoyable world to explore and explore.
Yes, the research element is among the main dynamics of Ghost of Tsushima. You can find meditation areas and buy different headbands or you can increase your life bar as you soften your incubation thanks to hot saunas. While you are trying to raise your perseverance bar with bamboo practice, you are raising the evil eye slots by visiting the altars guided by the foxes. You can earn some bonuses in attack, defense and similar issues by wearing the charms that you can reach with missions and discovery dynamics. By the way, don't forget to caress the heads of the foxes that guide you, animals make such an effort.
Apart from the main task, I can say that there are many extras in the game world. Nevertheless, this process repeats itself a lot, especially in the first stage of the game. The main task structure and tasks such as clearing the regions conquered by the Mongols are very similar to each other. Throughout the game, you clear the areas captured, and you encounter the same scenes after every prisoner you rescue. We have to watch the same scenes over and over again, both in taking part and in this process. So why can't we pass, or why this forced attitude is preferred even in the simplest parts is hard to understand. Every prisoner you rescued enters an intermediate stage and you drown in dialogues, "my brother, God bless you, what would we do without you, ghost brother, thank you". After a while, I started to enter the "ya okay brother, we saved me" mode. For this reason, you start to get a little bored until the game's scenario opens and your character develops. Fortunately, this situation is slowly getting easier with the 2nd zone. However, you continue to do similar tasks until the end of the game. As in Witcher 3, some missions also feature a trail-riding style. Considering its simple but task structure, I can say that it adds color to the game.
Apart from the main story and side missions, some special missions that add color to the game are also included. First of all, almost all of the important characters in the game have more than one side story. Apart from these, epic stories that are even better than the main story are also featured. The epic stories that start to appear in the later stages of the game are very good both in terms of story handling and narration. Focusing on characters and their legends that left their mark in Tsushima history, these missions are a joy to do. Moreover, you can find legendary armor and items in Tsushima by doing these missions.
Speaking of armor, in Ghost of Tsushima, armor processing and skin are very important. Moreover, finding new armor and customizing your character is very enjoyable. Your main armor has different bonuses on issues such as concealment, attack or health. Apart from this armor set, you can change the headband, face mask and even the sheath of your sword. You have also been given the opportunity to improve your equipment such as armor, arrow and sword. These upgrades can be made thanks to the items such as rations, bamboo or hide you find in the playground. Even better, you see how different your appearance changes as you improve your armor. I can say that this is one of my favorite points about armor.
Let's come to the most important aspect of a sword-themed game, namely the combat system. The combat system of Ghost of Tsushima is generally divided into two. Someone goes the Samurai route and collide face-to-face with your opponents. The other is the privacy element, the Ghost path. First of all, let's talk about privacy aspects. This part is very important in terms of both the story and the gameplay. I will give a lot of detail about the story and of course I will not miss your taste. You use the surrounding elevations and the weeds that spread over the entire island as a cover and try to take down your opponents. I can say that the privacy factor, which has a different functioning from the samurai way, works properly in general, especially in the parts where you hang out freely. So it is up to you whether you will resolve the matter in secrecy or head-on.
At the points where you need to proceed secretly according to the story, this situation proceeds like a finger to the blind eye. It is very difficult to say that there is also artificial intelligence in the free-duty structure. But if you need to proceed with secrecy in terms of the story, this situation turns out to be much more confidential. You feel as if the enemies are scattered on your route with their backs turned to make them easy to kill.
Light and heavy attack system is used in the action part of the game. You perform lighter attacks with the square key and heavier attacks with the triangular key. In head-to-head fights, you first enter the event with a short duel sequence. Then you have to dive into whatever God has given. Here, the point that makes the fighting system of the game beautiful is the opening of the postures. You unlock new postures as you progress in the game. Each stance is added to the game according to different enemy types. You use stone stance against enemies using swords, water stance using shields, and wind stance using spears. The moon stance rushes to your aid in enemies such as grizzly. If you use the wrong stance against the wrong enemy, it becomes harder to take them down. For this reason, you constantly change your stance on the battlefield and attack the enemy accordingly.
As I mentioned at the beginning, the fighting system, which is shallow in the first place, becomes more enjoyable with the opening of all postures. Moreover, you can unlock new abilities with the experience points you earn for each stance. These abilities cause you to master that stance and create better combos. You also unlock special moves such as thunder, rage dance. Before I forget, the contribution of the blood element to the fighting system of the game is great. Watching the blood spread, especially in slow motion attacks, allows you to enjoy sword fights more. Apart from all these features, there are some surprise attacks, but I am not telling them to be a joy.
The graphics of the game are at the top of the elements that make the world of Ghost of Tsushima so valuable. Although it has an open world gameplay, I must say that the game looks quite good visually. The wind element that integrates with the gameplay or the notes you play against the setting of the sun take you to different lands. This success in the graphics and the predominance of the artistic side of the period enabled Ghost of Tsushima to create a unique structure. Watching the dance of the wind moving through the vast meadows really starts to give you pleasure. Moreover, as you discover new regions and move towards the north of the map, you are gradually witnessing how different the playground is designed.
Another point I should mention in the graphics is the character armor. Although the NPC characters are sloppy, you can see that the main and some side characters are carefully studied. Each corner of the armor you wear has a separate detail. This situation has brought the already well-functioning armor system to a higher level visually. When we look at the music of Ghost of Tsushima, we feel the weight of wind and percussion instruments. While you go on a calm journey with wind instruments in normal times, you encounter different melodies in moments of action. By the way, the option of Turkish subtitles is very important for such a large game. Although a very plain text is used in some dialogues, the progress is generally quite successful. Anyway, the general language of the game has been used a little differently than today.
Finally, I have to mention the Japanese language support and the Kurosawa mode. I played the entire game with Japanese voiceover. I find the game very successful in this regard. In fact, the English language option seems so remote to me now that I can say that this preference has taken such a place in my mind. Playing the game in Japanese is indeed a big plus for you. The Kurosawa mode, which allows you to play the game in black and white, has been specially adapted for the famous director Akira Kurosawa. Ghost of Tsushima, which has duels and scenes similar to Samurai movies in general, offers a different experience with this mode.
As a result
I can say that Ghost of Tsushima promises you enjoyable hours, especially if you like far east culture. In general, the sword fights are enjoyable and the story gets on the way afterwards. I can say that Ghost of Tsushima has reached a certain level of quality, although there are important problems with gameplay, privacy aspects and storytelling. If you think about the game a little more, it might turn out to be a classic, but Ghost of Tsushima is contented with being a nice action game.
My Review of Nioh 2, The Tengu’s Disciple
**The Tengu's Disciple** package takes us nearly **400 years** back to the end of the Heian era. When our character touches an old flute he finds on the altar, he finds himself on a large battlefield. We meet one of the most famous warriors of the period, Minamoto no Yoshitsune, and his assistant, warrior priest Benkei, and try to learn the bond between them and our character.
Pros
+ New story based on a different period
+ More gameplay time with Dream of the Demon mode
+ New boss fights are very enjoyable
+ New weapons, techniques and equipment
+ What's new in character customization
Cons
- There are only 2 story missions
- The story part is short
- Recurring enemies still annoyance
The DLC pack adds ten new missions, two of which contain the main quest stories. The remaining eight include side missions and boss fights that we might want to repeat. In order to enter the first DLC mission named "A Song to Calm the Storm", we must have completed the main story of Nioh 2. Also, the recommended minimum level for missions is 120, so it wouldn't be wise if it were possible to enter the story directly.
Although it was a bit disappointing to have only two story missions in the game, I can say that they did a successful job in terms of content. In the first mission that starts on the shore, we move through the ruins of the ship stranded and meet the warrior priest Benkei, then join Yoshitsune, who wears the same sword as us. Fast forward to history after the first mission, the game takes our character back to a time when Yoshitsune was betrayed and attacked by his refugees. In the mission, which started in the bamboo forests, we try to go to the temple where Yoshitsune took refuge through the passageways in the mines.
There are many regions to spend time in the newly added sections. The maps that come with both main and side missions are very well designed. Although it is possible to cut enemies quickly and fight the last enemy of the episode for those who do not want to linger too much on the map, it is possible to spend a long time even on a single map, when it comes to shortcuts to open, hidden kodals and items to collect.

I have a point about partitions, but I'm not sure if that is a minus. While I was playing some of the episodes, I had the thought that "Nioh 1 had this episode". In the first episode between ships, I wondered if it takes place in the same place as in the first game, while traveling through the mines and even during a boss arena. Even if it is not exactly the same, there are similar things, although it is not possible for me to write the minuses.
Nioh 2 offered 9 different melee weapons for our samurai to use. A new one is added among these weapons, each of which offers a different combat experience. For the Splitstaff, our new weapon that comes with The Tengu's Disciple.
Warrior Need New Weapon
Splitstaff, which looks like a normal stick, allows us to attack the enemy with its two detachable ends. At first glance, the weapon reminds me of Lunar Staff, which I met with Ninja Gaiden 2, which is also a Team Ninja game, and does a successful job of pushing back the enemies by swinging it around like a nunchal when its ends are split. The only problem I had in my mind about this weapon was that it was under the category of "magic". The warrior priests may have made this decision because they were magic-based and preferred this weapon. Otherwise there is nothing magical about Splitstaff. It is very enjoyable to use and I definitely suggest you give it a chance.
Will there be new weapons and not new enemies? Almost all of the enemies of Nioh 2 are demons from Japanese mythology. Perhaps one of the most complained aspects of Nioh 2 was that it did not have many different types of enemies in order not to get out of this concept. There is a similar situation in The Tengu's Disciple.
While fighting with new enemies in three of the 4 boss fights that come with the DLC, a more advanced version of an enemy from the first game awaits us in the side mission. Among the enemies we encounter in the episodes, the crabs carrying the face of the transforming person and that we can only damage from the weak point and the skin pile yokai named Nuppeppo, which will not go out of your mind once you see it, are added. We continue to encounter evolved versions of the enemies we encounter in Nioh 2 and the "gaki" type yokai, the most annoying enemy of the game.
Other Innovations
You've finished both the Nioh 2 and the DLC pack, and you've even completed the NG + mode, Dream of the Strong. Then it's time to step into the Dream of the Demon mode that comes with the additional package. Dream of the Demon, which we can consider as the NG ++ mode, offers a different game experience with stronger enemies, stronger equipment and changing enemy order. Make sure you are ready for the challenge though. For the first mission of the game, the minimum recommended level in NG ++ mode is 250. In addition, with this mod, the maximum level limit of the character has increased to 400.
Although released with the DLC, another mode that anyone can play with the free update is the Demon Parade Picture Scroll. When playing in NG + and NG ++ mode, scrolls that may fall from enemies allow a new quest to be opened on the map screen. When we manage to complete these tasks, the scrolls become items that our character can use.
Result
While the DLC pack doesn't seem to offer much with one new weapon, a few new ninja and magic techniques, 10 missions and 3 new bosses, it adds at least 10 hours of new content to the game. Considering Dream of the Demon and Demon Parade modes that come for free, we can say that it is a very full package. Considering that Team Ninja will release 3 DLC packs for this game and bring more content, as Nioh did, it would make more sense to buy the Nioh 2 Season Pass instead of buying The Tengu's Disciple alone. Thus, you can also get the chance to see the whole story started by the first DLC.

The Total War series is generally known for its games that successfully reflect historical events. The series has so far appeared in many different games specific to regions such as Medieval Europe, Japan, and Rome, with games that will convey historical events in the most accurate way. In addition, two fantasy-themed games that have successfully adapted the Warhammer universe were released under the name Total War. A Total War Saga: With Troy, we return to the Bronze Age and have the opportunity to experience the Trojan War, which is also the subject of Homer's Iliad.
The 10-year war of the Achaeans under the leadership of Menelaus and his brother King Agamemnon, who accepted the act of Paris, the Trojan, who ran away with Helen, the wife of the Spartan King Menelaos, and made her own wife, is the main story of the game. We choose between the Akhalı and the Trojans and enter the game by taking one of the four heroes. While each hero has their own story line and specific goals, we play to eventually win the Trojan War, our ultimate goal.
We said that both sides have four special heroes. On the Danaan side (Greek side) are the legendary hero Achilles, the Mycenaean King Agamemnon, the Spartan King Menelaus and Ithica lord Odysseus. On the Trojan side are Prince Hector and Prince Paris, as well as Aeneas, the son of Aphrodite, and Sarpedon, the son of Zeus. The difficulty level of the game is different for each character and we can use some special units with the heroes we choose. Heroes also have special tasks.

The special missions of the hero we have chosen are one of the things we need to pay attention to in order to achieve victory in the game. Defeating all your enemies and taking control of the map allows us to reach the end called Total War Victory. In order to achieve the victory called Homeric Victory, we have to fulfill the duties of our hero. With Achilles, who is ready to fight anyone who questions his might, special missions such as defeating every enemy in a duel, Hector and Paris brothers 'struggle to get in the eyes of their fathers, and Menelaus' taking back his wife Helen, enable us to win the Homeric Victory.
A Total War Saga that addresses the Trojan War: Troy is the oldest game in the history of the series. When we take into account the scarcity of historical information about the Bronze Age and the mythical / fantastic elements found in the ancient Greek legends, we see a slightly more creative approach than other games. Although it contains elements from ancient Greek mythology, it did not choose a completely fantastic route as in Warhammer. We'll go into more detail about how the game blends mythological elements with real stories. I can already say that the producer has done a successful job.
You Said Centaur, But This Horse Troop
Although the Trojan Horse comes to mind first when the Trojan War is mentioned, horse troops were not a common combat unit during the Bronze Age, and even their first appearance in the game takes a long time. In battles, we usually control an army of infantry units. Infantry units are divided into three: Light, medium and heavy units. Units, whose speed and durability change according to the weight, become an important factor in our victory according to the length of the war. The fact that the number of units you can buy in our army is less than the old games, it helps beginners to grasp the battles more quickly.
It is unthinkable that there were no mythological elements in the ancient Greek period. I told you that the producer Creative Assembly has done a very successful job on this subject. Adding the influence of gods and mythological unions to the game, the team also managed to stay in the real world. Seven different gods from Greek mythology, including Zeus, Ares and Aphrodite, protect their servants who please them, and they do not hesitate to cause problems to those who are dissatisfied. The intervention of the gods is not in the form of extraordinary events such as lightning on the head of the enemy, but in the form of invisible effects such as the enemy's sacrifice to various natural events or the increase in the combat strength of the army he loves.
There are also mythological units that we can add to our army. While these units are nominally mythological beings, units of slightly more powerful mortal humans. For example, the Minotaur units, half bull and half human, are mentioned in the game as very great warriors wearing ox skulls. Similarly, the Centaur (Centaur) units appear to be the closest cavalry units at that time. You can have mythological units by meeting in some areas on the map or depending on how well you are with the gods.
The economy, which reverts almost entirely on gold and similar currencies in the old Total War games, is gaining variety with A Total War Saga: Troy. Resources divided into five as food, wood, stone, bronze and gold, we need different resources for different works. While wood is important in building production, it is necessary for the production of bronze and stone units. While gold gains a very important place in the future, food is always our most important resource. We have a lot of additional work to do outside of the game's battle screen, when we say carefully using the resources we have, keeping us pleasant with the gods, and balancing diplomatic relations.
Achilles' Heel
"You counted so many things, aren't there any bad parts of this game?" you might ask. There are various things that we can call relatively bad. For example, the number of units is much less than in other Total War games, and this makes the battles not suitable for a lot of strategic diversity, especially in the early stages of the game. While there are improvements in diplomacy over previous games, don't expect performance at the Civilization level. Interesting movements of artificial intelligence also caught my attention from time to time. The self-confidence of the weak lords who make "you will come on the road" style speeches when I refuse and ask for hundreds of units of resources without any response is amazing.
The game does not have a multiplayer option yet. The producers only released the game with a single player mode, and we have to wait until November for the multiplayer mode. While it may seem like a fun idea to try different combinations of heroes with friends and fight against opponents, it is debatable whether it is worth waiting for the multiplayer mode that will come in a time when new games come out collectively.
My Personal Assessment
A Total War Saga: Troy is a great choice for players who want to enter the series. I cannot go without saying that the translations were done very carefully. Although it is a little striking that the names of the mythological units are written entirely in such as Cyclops, these are the names used in the original translations. At least inconsistent localizations such as Achilles' speaking with a Thracian accent have not been made.
Strict followers of the series may be disturbed by the decrease in units and combat tactics with the effect of the period in which the game is set. The multi-resource economy and improved diplomacy features manage to compensate for the deficiency on the battlefield to some extent. The fact that each hero we choose has a different gameplay and has its own struggles reduces the feeling of doing the same things in each story.
If you want to experience Homer's Iliad epic for yourself and challenge Achilles and Hector in front of the Trojan gates, it's hard to find a better game than this game. If you want, it is also possible to continue with different heroes and achieve an alternative end to history. In addition, with the Amazon DLC, which will be added to the game in the future, the all-female Amazon tribe will be added to the game as playable. Moreover, users who perform the necessary operations in the Epic Store will be able to get this package free of charge.
The game, which was first offered for sale on the Epic Games Store, will be available on Steam after a certain time. If you've added the game to your library, which is available for free on the day of release, definitely give it a shot. A Total War Saga: Troy was a good game with both language support and easy to learn gameplay. It may not be the best Total War game for die-hard followers of the series, but it's a successful turn-based strategy game that shows better things to do for future games.
Best Simulation I Love - Microsoft Flight Simulator
I lay down the best simulation with its curve and line. Safe flights for all. Simulation games - **I don't even call it a game** - are not something that appeals to everyone or that everyone would like to play. However, some simulations try to reach everyone they can reach by expanding their target audience. Microsoft Flight Simulator is such a simulation, but it has not overcome some problems. I should also mention that it is much more difficult than other simulations because it is a simulation of a sector such as aviation, which consists of very detailed and interlocking systems. But let me add that if you have really interest and enough patience, it gives you back a few times what you gave. If you open the settings in this long learning process, it helps you at every step.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, developed by Asobo Studio and published by Xbox Game Studios, was the most spectacular simulation of the year. Both its eye-catching graphics, new systems and the download size kept the game on the agenda. It really seems that he will talk about himself more as the guide of the new generation simulation games. I went in and out of the game, and I will try to convey everything I have seen, good and bad. Come on, sir.
Pros
+ Real world simulation is great
+ Visual quality and views are exquisite
+ Aircraft variety and 37,000 airports satisfactory
+ Live weather and air traffic is something else!
Cons
- Performance is not stable, it may drop in places
- Errors can occur during download

Game Type: Simulation
Simulation takes advantage of technology in real terms with its many points. It includes new artificial intelligence and improved versions of old systems. I can say that it will leave a mark on you, either positively or negatively, for the air travel you will make for the rest of your life. But before doing this, compare the minimum system requirements and your own system very carefully. Revolutionary new technologies have been used in this new simulation, we cannot say that it works very well, but even using them really gives us an idea of the direction in which games and simulations have evolved in the next generation.
Microsoft Flight Simulator only downloads its own client file when downloaded via Steam and Microsoft Store clients. The approximate size of this is around 900MB. After downloading this file, you need to open it and make a 95GB download for the highest version of the game. In the first days, while making these downloads, players whose game duration exceeded 2 hours had trouble with their returns. Valve stopped counting the download time as your game time for the Steam version, thus preventing the loss of the game return due to download time. Note that Microsoft is not interested in returning the product if it was not purchased directly from the Microsoft Store. Your only addressee for returning via Steam is Steam.
If we got rid of all these roughness and technical glitches in the first place, now we can come to the real issue. First of all, Microsoft Flight Simulator is in collaboration with Blackshark.ai. Blackshark.ai reads satellite images from Bing maps and transmits buildings, forests, roads, seas and almost all land to the virtual world. This allows you to fly over your own city, neighborhood and even your home while flying in Microsoft Flight Simulator. In addition, many natural beauties and symbolic architectural works have been modeled and added in detail, though not completely. Players can mark these beauties for anyone online. This allows an indication that it is there when passing over a natural wonder marked by a player. In this way, while you are flying, you can feel how beautiful we live on a planet. Of course, there are still some mistakes, there may be pilots making warning announcements saying "**There is a flying building close to you, go carefully**". Still, using such a system provides a unique experience for players.
Microsoft Flight Simulator also has more than 37,000 airports and 20-30 aircraft depending on your version of the game. If you have the standard version of the game, you can fly with 20 different types of aircraft. These numbers increase to 25 for the Deluxe Edition and 30 for the Premium Deluxe Edition. Among the planes that come with the standard version is the huge cargo plane Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental. If you are confident, it definitely offers an amazing experience. Even when falling. I personally had this experience and it was really excited. This must be the most fun and beautiful part of simulations. I don't remember that I put in such an effort to get things together in normal games. Also, of the 37,000 airports I mentioned, 40 of the most famous are detailed locations hand-modeled by 3D designers. It is really worth to go and see. All airports are controlled by a system called VATSIM. Like Blackshark.ai, VATSIM is a system that works really well. Artificial intelligence that controls air traffic and guides real players. You can direct other planes with you via ATC, and you can follow them as well.
**VATSIM** is a kind of artificial intelligence air traffic control system used by Microsoft Flight Simulator. It controls the flights, airport traffic and take-off-landing processes by artificial intelligence. You can communicate with ATC and make your flight step by step. Of course, if you have turned on flight assistance and you want the game to do all this for you, it happens automatically. Otherwise, you can communicate with ATC through an interface while taking a taxi, landing at the airport, leaving the airspace and for many operations. VATSIM also informs you about real-time flights. When starting a flight, you can choose the airports from which you will take off and land yourself, or you can make one of the flights belonging to certain airports in real time. When you choose one of the available flights, you fly with the actual time of that flight. It prepares and gives you your route, average travel time and flight plan in accordance with the reality.
You can customize the weather conditions yourself, as well as capture live weather information from the servers wherever you are in the world. I tried this with a friend who lives in Istanbul personally. On a flight from Yalova to Istanbul, I asked if the weather was cloudy, I found out and went and confirmed it. It is really enjoyable and makes you forget that you are taking a digital flight. It is also possible to encounter all the players flying online at that moment. You can talk to people flying on the same line as you. Since everyone prefers to fly in their own country, Turkey's airspace is not that busy. However, I still encountered many people flying there.
Flying a plane is not easy, not at all. If you haven't spent much time with simulations before, Microsoft Flight Simulator may seem impossible at first. Fortunately for this, there is a tutorial section that basically explains how flights work. Here, it tells you how to control the plane step by step, take-offs and landings, and the event called traffic pattern. In addition, when you turn on flight aids, you are guided by artificial intelligence throughout the flight. I used them because I was not experienced in flight simulations and did not know much about aviation. Even if you don't really know anything, after a few flights the basic logic starts to settle. You will realize that by gradually reducing the flight aids, you are starting to really learn about aviation. When I count myself starting from scratch, I really owe the first few hours and the information I have now to this system.
Although it is wrong to describe simulations as games, I can say that players can easily "play" Microsoft Flight Simulator. It does not have fun mechanics like any adventure game, but there are some challenges. For example, as of now - I don't know if it might change later- there is a "challenge" mode in my system regarding landing. It is a mode where you try to land the plane in the airports that are more difficult than others in terms of landing in difficult conditions. There are also achievements you can get by completing them. Definitely consider playing the game with controllers instead of keyboards, if you have Joysticks will really take your gaming experience to the next level.
Their basic system was like this, but another feature that makes Microsoft Flight Simulator stand out is its visual quality. Our planet offers a truly amazing experience flying over Earth. Thanks to Blackshark.ai, the images will bring a great sense of pleasure when you fly in real cities of the real world if you have a good system. With my top-of-the-line computer, which I thought was outdated, I played with a performance like 30FPS after pulling the quality to medium settings and making minor adjustments. Although performance is never among our priorities in simulations, I can say that 30FPS was enough for me. I do not think it will be a problem for you if you have used a combine harvester at 15FPS, driving a truck at 35FPS and roamed in traffic with your vehicle at 40FPS. Even though the performance drops a little more when you go above the clouds, you have a truly exquisite experience.
The image I got at medium settings on my system was not disappointing at all. For this reason alone, Microsoft Flight Simulator can be an example software for next-generation simulations and games. The fact that it brings our planet to the game with its new artificial intelligence and creates wonders with VATSIM, which directs you and artificial intelligence, definitely makes this simulation stand out among the others.
**Long story short**
Microsoft Flight Simulator is not a game that you can use warplanes. It contains more than everything a simulation should contain. Although the variety of aircraft is in place for now, I am sure that in the future, more passenger and cargo planes will be needed. In the "Marketplace" section, players can sell their own content. In addition, Asobo will bring paid content here in the future. While I say the price is fair for the standard version of the game, I can't say the same for the Deluxe and Premium Deluxe versions. It is also a game that needs attention to the system requirements.
Please pay close attention to a Microsoft Flight Simulator experience that you don't want to end up in frustration. Make sure your version of Windows is 2004. It's the name 2004, not the year of the release, it's very important here. Also install the latest video card drivers. Simulation requires a powerful system and when you do all this, you will be able to experience it in a healthy way.
That's all I have to say about the game, I will probably learn to use the Airbus A320 by June next year. Hoping to see you again in another review. Stay with love, safe flights.
I'm on the Trail of Souls Games - Mortal Shell
**Mortal Shell**, developed by *Cold Symmetry,* which was founded in 2017, promises to offer us the system we love of Dark Souls (and Demon Souls, which will soon be introduced by PlayStation 5 owners), with the power of the Unreal Engine 4 engine. It's a pretty tough task at your disposal. Cold Symmetry must act in a way that does not lose the spirit of the genre, and add original things to the game to avoid being a simple copy. The game seems to have done this very well.
Mortal Shell begins by putting a humanoid character in our control. We don't have a name, gender, or any talent. In a land where humanity is extinct and extinct, we search the environment to help a being in chains, trying to retrieve valuable items stored in forgotten temples.
Souls-like games stand out not with their storytelling, but with their gameplay. The story of the world and our character have a purpose, but it is entirely up to the player to learn this deeply. There is a similar situation in this game. Our main character, called Foundling, has no information about the current state of the world. As we move forward using the bodies of warriors who lost their lives in the realm, we know the world thanks to their memories. A few living beings that do not attack us from time to time also offer small details.
Platforms
PC, PlayStation 4, XBox One
Pros
+A souls-like game with its own special features
+Shell options, each with their own personality
+Enjoyable combat mechanics
+Distinctive regions each
+Our character can play lute
+The rewarding nature of discovery
Cons
-Game time is a little short
-Direction is difficult in areas
-Weapon animations are restricted
-The game becomes brutal if you don't use the Parry system
-A rare but rare bug that hits the gameplay
A story that we can count enough for a game that is not too long. Although there were not many surprising things, I managed to enjoy it. It is also a nice detail that there are NPC characters who react differently depending on which body we go with.
A Rock-Like Stance Against Threats
Let's come to the part of the game that we are eagerly awaited. Mortal Shell is similar to Dark Souls in many ways. I had the feeling that I was playing with a similar character in Dark Souls as I grabbed the double-handed sword and tried to strike it by spinning around the enemy. I'm not saying this in a bad way, the fighting system is very good. Fights are very enjoyable. It is possible to engage in one-on-one combat with enemies or to mow enemies en masse by swinging our mace. Still, it's not an option that I would highly recommend.
Our enemies have high damage capacity and there is no healing potion in the game. We can recover some of our lives thanks to the mushrooms and food we can find around, but our main savior during the fight is the parry mechanics. Thanks to the seal we received from the chained one, we can stop the enemy's attack at the last second and gain some life by counter-attack. It's not necessary, but if you don't want to have nervous stress, you have to get used to this mechanic.
The "Harden" skill that our character can use is another feature that separates the game from other souls-like games. There is no shield in the game, we only have two options to defend ourselves against attacks. While parry is ideal for getting back some of our lost health, it's not possible to dodge every attack. "Harden" comes into play here. Thanks to this ability that allows us to completely turn into stone, we are able to stop every attack, no matter how strong it is. It is also possible to use this ability while attacking the enemy and complete our attack by bouncing the enemy's blow. If you use the waiting time correctly, it is even possible to finish the game without getting hit. (Quite difficult but possible) However, it is better not to rely too much on the "Harden" skill. Because some of our enemies can also use this ability.
We are controlling an entity that is not even clear what is in the game. We come to the real world with a reduced life after the beating we ate in the foggy land, which is also the education department. The first thing we encounter here is the body of a defeated warrior. Our character can enter the bodies of warriors who lost their lives and see their memories as if they were his own. In this way, we can both learn the history of the bodies and use the techniques they have. These bodies are referred to as Shell.
New Shell New Warrior
There are 4 different weapons and Shell in the game. We also have a ranged weapon. Although we only started with a Shell and a weapon in the beginning, we can see the location of other equipment and bodies thanks to the "sight" abilities found in the sarcophagi. Choosing a shell is very important. The bodies that have a special story and whose memories we can reach as we unlock new abilities also determine the way we play.
There is no character development system in the game. Although each body has its own health, stamina and power points, you cannot change them as you wish. Thanks to the "tar" and "glimpse" we collect from the enemies, there is no choice but to revive the memories of the body and use its abilities. Weapons can be used with any Shell, but not all weapons are suitable for all sizes due to the durability it takes when swinging a large sword. That's why I suggest you make your choice well.
We can play with "Eredrim", which has high health and stamina but does not have the determination we need to use special abilities in return. There are also options such as "Solomon", which is more rugged but mastered on special ability, or "Tiel", which is totally fast-minded. For those who think that they want to play in a balanced way, there is "Harros" where we first started the game. Remember, too, that in order to use the abilities of these bodies, we must first learn the names.
We Can't Get Out Of Some Swamp
Let's talk a little bit about the world in which the game takes place. When we get out of the fog, we arrive in a swamp-like area. There are people playing lute, eating and patrolling around us. Do not be fooled by the music coming from the head, they come to beat us even with the handle of the lute if necessary. After meeting the Masked lady and taking our first mission, we set off for other regions. I have to make a very important reminder here; Remember to research each area carefully. Since I didn't look around at the beginning, I found the parry feature we got from an NPC at the very beginning of the game by chance after playing the game for 3 hours. I am not the only one who has experienced this. It's hard to find other sizes you can use without research.
As part of our mission, there are ice-covered caves, a fire-themed temple and an obsidian-covered area called Obsidian Tower. Since the game is short anyway, the low number of zones is not an annoying situation. Each region has a unique structure and one region is not like another.
My biggest problem about the regions was his interesting designs. There are shortcuts to the places you can reach within a region, but it is very difficult to find a way. The biggest reason for this is that there is no space-separating feature within the region. Therefore, it is possible to get lost even in normal time, but the real problem arises during the blackout after boss fights.
I can give the best example for this from ice caves. While walking on a straight road, you see a cave on the left and you enter. There are enemies inside, you kill them and move forward and you enter the second hole. You think the second hole will move you further, but you're actually going further back, next to a hole you missed. Under normal circumstances, this shouldn't be a problem, you are exploring after all. The real problem arises after the boss fights, which have an important place in the main story.
You kill one of the main bosses and get a valuable object from it, and the whole area turns black. The mists are taking over the land, and the enemies that used to chase you are replaced by scary creatures that you normally see in small quantities. You don't see two steps ahead, you have fast enemies chasing you, and you have to determine exactly which direction you are going. Although I love the world structure that changes with the arrival of fog, I cannot say that I love the experience of staying in the dark in a world where it is difficult to navigate.
In the game, they did not leave the discovery affair with just sightseeing. We also need to explore the function of items in our inventory. Since our character knows nothing about the world around him, we gain experience by using the items we collect. We even use it to understand whether the mushroom we have collected is poisonous or not. Although the items we use at the beginning are not very effective, we can make it more effective after a certain period of time. Like being able to develop immunity against the fungus that poisoned us in the beginning and stop all toxic effects for a while. Or the ability to play the lute, which we used to make a bad sound in the first place, perfectly when our familiarity developed.
While the item discovery system is a nice feature, the stress of using valuables at the wrong time is inevitable. There were times when I accidentally called another weapon in the middle of enemy lines and had to leave the mission halfway because I could not return to the other weapon. I advise you to let go of the fear of wasting it and try your items in a safe area, preferably at the spawn point.
Performance and Errors
The Mortal Shell I played on PC worked well in general. In the game where I rarely experience FPS drops, I can say that I got a very satisfactory result in terms of graphics. There are a few problems with animations. It seems as if all the animations were made for the Hallowed Sword. When you parry with the hammer, it buries the blunt end of the hammer into the enemy's chest, like a sword, and pulls it back. Or when you come out of a cave, you can see the character throw the little hammer on his shoulder. There are few weapons already, at least different animations could be made for each one.
I wanted to say the game was free of errors. An error that occurred close to the end of the game and caused me to start over because I couldn't find a solution changed my mind. If you stop attacking after throwing a parry at an enemy, the most important feature of the game, "Harden", is disabled. Since I was already bad at parry, the lack of ability to petrify made the game inability to play. While it's a problem that most people don't face, it's annoying.
Although there are minor annoying situations such as the enemy attacking during the animations while our character exits the cave and we die until we get control, I did not encounter any serious problems other than the above.
Result
Mortal Shell, which follows the Souls series and adds something to itself on the path opened by From Software games, has managed to be a good game souls-like game. It is not possible to call it a completely new and original game. The game is a little short, if you don't get busy with the things around, it will take 7 hours maximum. I also expressed my troubles about the venues. The lack of multiplayer may seem like a minus for some players. But it should not be forgotten that this game is an independent brand made by a studio established in 2017.
It feels like "Dark Souls, but a different and beautiful game" that games like Lords of the Fallen couldn't accomplish. As someone who has played most souls-like games out so far, I can say that it is the best Dark Souls replica that also has its own original features. The success of this game shows that the developer team is capable of doing much better work in the future.
Reviewed for horror-action game lovers - Control AWE
**Alan Wake**, which was released exclusively for the **Xbox 360** console in 2010, attracted great attention from horror-action game lovers. We were experiencing the struggle of the famous horror writer Alan Wake on vacation with the dark beings. Players who wanted more stories after a game and two DLC packs could not find what they wanted in the spinoff game **American Nightmare**. Control's new add-on package AWE promises to alleviate the story hunger of Wake fans to some extent.
I remember thinking "**Maybe they are preparing for the new game from here**" when I saw information about the Bright Falls incidents involving Alan Wake in various documents in Control. It would be a lie if I said I was not happy when I learned that AWE will be about the paranormal events that took place in Alan Wake and Bright Falls, with a short time left. So I have to warn Alan Wake fans like me from the beginning. The Alan Wake game you have been waiting for for a long time has not arrived yet.
Control: AWE takes the first steps in the studio's "**Remedy Connected Universe**" universe. Sam Lake, one of the leading names of Remedy, announced that the studio's future play will take place in a common universe called "Remedy Connected Universe". We have high expectations about RCU, which will include Control, Alan Wake and possibly Quantum Break, but let's turn to AWE for now.
The voice of the famous writer Alan Wake, who has been missing for a long time and is considered dead, directs our main character to the Research Department of the Oldest House. Dr. The Research Department, where Emil Hartman was caught and brought in, has been closed for a long time and nobody can reach it from outside. When we reach the section with the elevator and enter, we understand the reason for this. A brand new danger has arisen when the dark beings surrounding the Research Department encounter Hiss, who took over the office.
Do Not Shine The Light In Your Eyes
Control AWE has a darker, more spooky and linear gameplay compared to previous packages. In addition to the opponents we fight against throughout the main game and The Foundation, we also need to be on the lookout for shadows. Taking on a completely different shape because of the darkness and the Hiss, Dr. In pursuit of Hartman, we are entering three different sectors and trying to stop the doctor. On the other hand, we get the opportunity to reach us via the red line and witness the writings of Alan Wake.
"I haven't played Alan Wake before, I won't understand anything from this pack." If there are those who think, there is nothing to worry about. Although there is plenty of Alan Wake content in the game, we know that the game we play at the end of the day is Control. There are many documents and audio recordings of the altered objects and the events resulting from them. Altered objects such as a train, two arcade game machines and food machines await us.
A new weapon development has been added to the game with AWE. Thanks to the plug-in called Surge, we can attach a maximum of three explosives to a ground (or to the enemy) and detonate whenever we want. Since I normally fought using the first weapon and the "Launch" skill, I also liked the idea of setting traps while entering the fight and blasting them while passing over the enemy. I have to say that it is very useful in side missions and final boss fight where we clear the air vent.
I said that the game we play is still Control, even though it is based on Alan Wake. We see this also in enemies. We do not encounter the enemies named "Taken" in Alan Wake, which we cannot harm unless we remove the darkness above them by shedding light. The effect of darkness on the game Dr. Except for our encounters with Hartman and his puzzle solving, we don't see it. Considering that the darkness constantly lowers our energy and Jesse wasn't a flashlight, it would be a bit of a nuisance to constantly search for projectors. It is interesting at first to eliminate the darkness that closes the doors with the portable projectors we find in the environment and to escape from our opponent who has undergone a terrible change in the darkness that absorbs our energy until we find the generators. Fortunately, the game is not very long and the game ends when you say "*If I have to search for another generator, I will close the game*".
While there are no enemies captured by the Darkness, Hiss is still here. In addition to the enemies we have known before, we have a new competitor called Airborne Ranger. These soldiers, the last member of the FBC's unfortunate captured personnel, can attack you in the air and successfully fend off objects you throw.
Federal Bureau Agents Play Atari
In both Control and The Foundation, besides the main role, there were side roles we had and a variety of jobs that would require us to move between regions. AWE, on the other hand, has a more linear gameplay. Besides the main story, there are two side quests we can do and the cleaning quests left by Ahti. There is also an arcade game device named SHUM.
Side quests are related to the items mentioned in the notes you found around. There are side tasks such as solving the puzzle in the train car changed by the terrorists or finding and bringing the "thing" he wanted for one of the astronauts 3 people set off and 4 returned. Ahti's tasks are simple cleaning tasks where we can use new mechanics. The arcade game machines named SHUM seem to be able to increase the replayability of the game.
Although it is one of the most famous arcade game machines of the SHUM era, only two of them have been found. These devices bring the user's mind to the game and establish a virtual reality-like system. There is Horde Mode, in which we try to kill the HISS that attack us in waves, and Time Attack mode, which measures how many enemies we can clear before the time runs out. SHUM 2, which starts to work when you successfully complete one of these two modes, is the part of the game where you can play the boss fights again. The game machine that allows you to repeat boss fights such as The Former, Mold-1, and The Anchor also gives us the opportunity to replay Ashtray Maze, which is arguably the most enjoyable part of the game. When we complete these chapters, we also earn various boosting awards.
Where Is Our Flashlight?
There are some things I don't like about the new plugin package and I want to talk about them. First of all, environmental design is a bit annoying. Since The Foundation took us to a new area underground, it was possible to come across different designs. AWE is opening a new section of the office, and there is hardly any other space. We have the feeling of touring the places we saw in the main game again. Okay, this is part of the Bureau too, but if we saw a little bit different things, I wouldn't say no.
The presentation of the story bothered me a little. DLC starts automatically and continues with Alan Wake's narration on the way to the elevator. We find a department that has not been active for a long time, and there is no one in the Bureau talking about it! Okay, there is a person and he talks constantly, but most of the characters we encounter throughout the game seem to be unaware of such a situation. That constant talking friend also repeats the same things in some places, slightly undermining the atmosphere.
I mentioned that the puzzles are always the same and finding the generator in the dark becomes annoying after a while. And when we had to do this while fighting and when we were caught seriously lost their lives, "Isn't there a flashlight, a hat with a flashlight or something in the big office ?!" It is possible to rebel.
With the Ultimate Edition version of the game, a free update has been released for all players. You can access the new features that affect the whole game even if you do not have the add-on packages. There are useful features such as checkpoints added to some boss fights, new checkpoints you can open, skill enhancements that allow you to take and throw multiple objects. In addition, thanks to the newly added Assist Mode, it is also possible to change some features of the game and activate options such as being immortal or increasing the experience points earned.
Remedy Builds Its Own Universe
Control: With AWE, we are taking the first step into Remedy's "**RCU**" universe. If you're expecting an Alan Wake story, you'll be disappointed. But if you start with the expectation that this is a Control plugin and a story that allows us to enter the "RCU" universe while telling the story of Alan Wake, it is possible to have a very enjoyable time. Control: AWE has become an add-on that appeals to both Control and Alan Wake fans with its new weapon add-on, enemy and puzzle mechanics, as well as the first steps to a larger universe. It does not give what we want, but manages to excite for what is to come.
Sole representative of golf games - PGA Tour 2K21
There is something I have to say before I start looking. I've never played golf before. Like most sports, I don't like to watch golf. In our country, I do not know about any golf player other than Tiger Woods, which comes to mind when it comes to golf. My biggest experience with golf was the mini golf experiment we set up with stones and clubs. As for the game part, my only golf memories other than the golf game I played on Nintendo's NES platform as a kid come from Dead Rising and Last of Us Part 2 games. Thanks to the PGA Tour 2K21, it's the first time I've been using the golf club for its purpose in 10 years.
Welcome to the PGA Tour 2K21 review published by 2K Sports, which sports fans will remember especially with the **NBA 2K** and **WWE 2K** series. Are you looking for answers to your questions like how to play golf, why are there so many different clubs, how much the wind can affect the course of the ball and whether this game is taken? We can answer some of these questions in our review of 2K Sports's new golf game PGA Tour 2K21.

The fact that I have little interest in golf gives me the opportunity to write this review from a different angle. I didn't want to miss the opportunity to experience from scratch how enjoyable a game we really use the golf club for its own purposes can be. PGA Tour 2K21 was an ideal game for this.
Our game is about golf, going to various fields and trying to get the ball into the hole with the least number of hits. The game does not have any story mode. Our character, which we have created with our hands, can be a contestant who qualifies for the PGA Tour or a golf master who competes directly in the PGA Tour. If you are playing for the first time, do not say "**let me start from the best**", I say, practice your hand and play the eliminations. Otherwise, the game you have to play calmly can lead to the action of breaking the golf club in your head.
Let's Use The Golf Club Properly
Even though producer HB Studios worked hard to make a realistic game of golf, he started out with the idea of "golf for everyone". The developer team has aimed to make a game that everyone can enjoy by putting many different customization options and supporting content into the game. The game, which also takes the name of the PGA Tour, is designed to live the atmosphere of a real tournament from every angle.
The educational parts of the game are very detailed. The trainings that start with how to hit the ball go up to the level that you can adapt to the environmental conditions with which stick you hit the ball. Definitely try the easy-to-understand training sessions that take someone like me who has never played golf to a level where they can say, "*The wind is blowing from the left with 5 mph, then I have to hit it by curving it with a number 6 iron club*". It gives both easy to understand and really useful information.
Hitting the ball is quite simple. You set the angle with the left analog, determine the power of the hit with the right and send the ball. The clubs you choose before the tournament determine how far and how controlled the ball will go. You are trying to reach the hole with as few hits as possible, taking into account the direction and speed of the wind. Although it may sound quite easy at first, you will see that you start to have difficulties on the tracks where the wind is getting stronger.
The game has many support options for novice players and those who want a little more arcade gameplay. There are many helpful options such as indicators where you can see your strength and angle, options to predict which direction the shots will go, suggest the most risk-free stick-stance for each shot. After a while, instead of the stick suggested by the game, you start taking risks, trying different things and getting better results. The best part is that all these options are optional.
If you are confident, you can turn off all the supports that the game offers, and instinctively adjust the angle at which the stick will go when you swing it, and how much force you apply. Although I don't use it because most of the shots I try to do this way hit the audience around, it's a nice option for those who want a realistic golf experience.
The small number of spectators in the first tournaments you participate in increases as you participate in larger tournaments. You feel as if you are watching a real golf match thanks to the audience who react according to the hits you make and the announcers who interpret your shots. Although the general reactions and movements of the audience were quite successful, it was a little striking that the man who had a ball on his head did not react at all.
Time to Rival the Great Golfers
In the MyPlayer section where you can create your own golf player, you have several different options where you make a player pleasing to your eye and enter the fight section. You can participate in qualifiers and improve yourself, you can improve your level to earn some money and buy new clothes and sticks. Or, you can join the PGA Tour, which is the main challenge of the game, and compete for the first place between your rivals who follow you and the sponsors who want to make a deal with you.
PGA Tour matches allow us to compete on 15 different golf courses that have been turned into one-to-one games from their real models. On the one hand, we are trying to surpass 12 famous professional golf players who foster our rivals, on the other hand, we are trying to benefit from brands that make requests such as "put the ball in the hole without any mistake", "throw the ball in the green area without hitting the tree" to become our sponsor.
It is possible to defeat our professional opponents only by playing a decent game. Each opponent we beat opens a golf club or different outfits. Although I found the idea of the opponent nice, I cannot say that it adds too much excitement. Since I don't know any of these athletes, it doesn't seem to matter.
Sponsors manage to be more interesting as they offer special challenges during the match. Fulfilling these requests allows us to unlock special items. The idea of playing a hole that I can easily finish with different sticks makes sense, depending on how beautiful the outfit to be given in return looks. It adds more excitement to the game than famous opponents. I can say that I am not very interested in a celebrity who can only see their beats as a clip, and we cannot control as a character even if we wanted to.
Players who want to play online can create their own community or join other communities. Thanks to the communities, you can organize tournaments according to your own rules and compete in these tournaments. In addition, you can have fun against your friends with the game, online and local combat options, where it is also possible to play one-to-one matches.
My Result Evaluation
PGA Tour 2K21 is a game that appeals to both golf lovers and beginners like me. In a sport that does not have too many serious rivals, a game that you can spend a long time at the beginning of the career mode, online struggles and the opportunity to create your own track if you can get bored with all of them, features that increase the playing time of the game.
Maybe the price of the game may be a little too much to try, which is a problem brought by the game prices in our country, not the game. If you are planning to buy only one sports game this year and spend a long time in front of it, the PGA Tour 2K21 will be a very good choice. If you somehow manage to find it cheap, I suggest you give this game a chance.
The Past Through the Nets of Destiny - Kingdom of Amalur: Re-Reckoning
I love epic games. It is the guest of our screens as a renewed version of a game that was released in 2012 and never received the attention it deserved due to various problems. So is Kingdom of Amalur: Re-Reckoning (KoARR) worth playing? What kind of game awaits those who will play for the first time? Is it good enough to attract players who have played before? Let's examine it together.
First of all, let's talk about the story. Our main character is someone who recently passed away. We choose our race, gender, and other visual features as we are taken near other corpses. As we understand from the speeches of the gnomes that carry us, we are one of the unsuccessful results of some kind of experiment. Just before it turns out that we are the first successful result of experiments with the device called Well of Souls, a group of enemies attack the place and begin to slaughter researchers. Our newly awakened character who has no remembrance is trying to protect himself against attackers and the game begins.
In a land where everyone's destiny is pre-written and can be read by masters called Fateweaver, we learn that we are the only one whose fate has not been written before. This is such a great power that we have the ability to change the destiny of everyone in the land. We begin our long adventure in the Faelands land with a Fateweaver trying to help us.
I have a lot to say about the story. First of all, the person working both in the world and in the story is R.A. I have to say it's Salvatore. This name, which will be immediately remembered by those who love fantasy stories and are interested in desktop role-playing games, is also the creator of Drizzt Do'Urden, one of the most important characters in the Forgotten Realms. In a brand new world where many different races live together, we try to follow a long and interesting story. All around there are books with information about the land and people ready to share their knowledge. In addition, the stones called "Lorestone" found around are ready to tell us many different stories.
I said we are trying to follow the story above, and I was serious in saying that. R.A. While Salvatore did a good job writing the story, we have some presentation difficulties and it has nothing to do with the author. Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning, which we can call a single player online game, can cause us to miss the story while running to other things.
Staying Under the Mountain of Story
There is a lot of lore content in the game, after a while you can give an error due to excessive information overload. Books, story-telling stones, people talking around, and so on, just like our character in the game, “What's going on here? What year are we in? I do not remember and understand anything. " possible to fall into a situation. Let me give the simplest example from a mission in the first town. There is a Fae person lying on the ground and was badly beaten. While trying to improve this character, we are also trying to understand why he was beaten. In order to fully understand the situation and get to know the Fae race, we need to talk to anyone interested, and it means a lot of dialogue. If you don't want to engage in that much dialogue, you don't know why the realm takes this attitude towards the Fae race.
I will say that the presentation in general is not very good. It is very difficult for you to enter the world without reading every book and learning everybody's opinion. When you try to do this, you feel like it takes a lot of time. It could be things like at least a little more cinematic presentation, more descriptive information. Although I love the Lorestone thing very much, I also wish some of the stories had visual representations.
One of the most serious problems in terms of story is that the events do not affect the world very much. There are moments in the game where we can choose. Still, we cannot see much of their impact on the world. While there are a few pre-prepared events, there aren't many choices that affect the world. In the side missions we can make some important choices, but the main missions are generally more linear. The most important feature of the characters with the ability to persuade is to win more awards. Serious problems we encountered during the main task, we feel like we are being taken to rest during intermediate missions. It must be a world affected by war, but those living in the world are unaware of this. Everyone looks after their own business, even the groups we join are unaware of what is happening around. Of course, this situation slightly undermines the atmosphere.
All in all, a very good story has problems due to a heavy presentation. I don't think it's going to be a problem if you just follow the main story and don't care too much about the rest of the world.
A War Mage in Heavy Armor
We came to one of the funniest parts of the game. Fighting mechanics. Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning has preserved the already beautiful fighting mechanics of the original game. As a character without destiny, all roads are open to us. This means that our character has a lot of options to use during the war.
During the fights, you can equip two different weapons and use the spells you have on the enemy. While weakening the enemies in the field with the "chakram" preferred by the wizards, you can cut the enemies near you with a sword and finish another enemy's work with the lightning spell. Combining different weapon combinations with skills and clearing enemies is great fun. Thanks to both shield and rolling mechanics, you can wander among your opponents and take advantage of their vulnerabilities. There is also the Reckoning mode.
Since we are a person whose destiny has not been written, we can change the destiny of those around us. This is bad news for competitors, of course. After collecting enough energy, the mode we switched to by pressing the L2 + R2 keys causes the enemies to slow down and hunt them faster. In the meantime, although our experience points increase, the real fun part is the finishing blows where we rewrite the fate of the enemy. We take a weak rival and finish it off with an energy that I guess is made up of the webs of fate. Energy sometimes turns into an ax and cuts off the opponent's head, sometimes it becomes a spear that we can attach to the opponent.
Character control during the fights is very comfortable and fluid. The camera angles are also pretty good. We can switch between opponents quickly, without the need to lock onto any enemy. The battles are so enjoyable that you want to quickly skip the story parts of the game and dive into stronger enemies. If only Ghost of Tsushima's camera system would have looked like this.
Determine Your Own Fate
Instead of the class system we are used to in the game, there are ways we choose by giving our points. The points we invest in a path enable us to reach the talents in that area, while also unlocking the Destinies cards, which we can call a kind of class system. Let's explain this part in more detail.
If you prefer a standard way, you can play the game as a wizard, warrior or bandit. It is possible to make your character a standard warrior by investing the points you get in a single field every time you level up. There are different weapons and abilities for each class in the game. Wizards support elemental-damage basic attacks with powerful spells, while warriors smash enemy ranks with massive weapons and heavy armor. If you want to go more sneaky and stealthily, there are quick killing techniques like catching the enemy off guard with knives and stabbing behind the opponent in crowded fights.
But we are someone whose fate has not been written and we have more than one choice. When the points we invest in both magic and war reach a certain level, a new fate opens before us. The class system called Destinies determines what bonus features our character will have. It is possible to become a war magician who wears his armor and clears the enemy with magic, a swordsman who cuts down his enemies with light armor, or a legend mastered in all weapons.
We Work Like an MMO
Fighting is a lot of fun, but the game isn't just about fights. There is a huge land ahead of us and a lot of things to do. We can focus on the crafting part and create new armor, potions or power stones. We can gather flowers around and go looking for lorestones and hidden treasures. Or we can do quests, lots of quests.
There is a serious abundance of missions in the game. As you follow the main story, everywhere you enter, you see people rushing "Aha, the man to serve has arrived." You enter the cave, a new mission comes out, the bandit cuts your way and the hoop new mission comes. You can join the various groups in the game. This means more missions.
I mentioned earlier in the article that the game is a single player online game. You know, there are a lot of missions that develop the story of the region so that your character can level up, while you are doing them, you will skip levels without realizing. The same situation exists in this game. There is duty everywhere, everyone wants something. Some send you to long dungeons, some among the trolls.
There are fun choices such as changing the course of the side missions with the choices you make, flattening the town that sends you to clean the spiders by being one with the spiders. At least in most of the side missions, you can change the outcome and drag the realm into a worse situation.
The fact that there are so many side quests can cause you to miss the main story after a while. If you try to do each of them, it is possible to get bored before reaching the end of the game. Some side quests are very similar and even though the dungeons we enter are beautiful in design, they are similar to each other. That's why I recommend that you choose your side tasks carefully and return to the main task as soon as you feel bored.
Innovations With Re-Reckoning
Until this part of the review, we've covered a lot of things for first-time players. Now let's see what comes with the revamped version of the game. In 2012, when the game was first released, the graphics were at a level that we can call good. It was a game with graphics that we can call cartoon style, used in the Warcraft universe. The advantage of this choice is that even the old version of the game still looks more pleasing to the eye. With Re-Reckoning, there was no serious change in the graphics. We can see that the skins have been improved and the resolution has increased, but if your expectation is stunning graphics, you won't find it in this game. Still, I am happy with what I saw.
With Re-Reckoning, one more complaint from the players was taken into account. After a while in the original game, our character became so powerful that we were swinging enemies left and right even at the highest difficulty level. The newly added "Very Hard" difficulty level and the adjustment of your level according to the region every time you enter the zones, remove the problem of the game becoming too easy and boring.
Among the advantages of Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning are nice innovations such as the availability of all previously released DLC packs in the game, increasing the capacity of the storage in the players' homes, and the ability shortcuts to give them the opportunity to use 8 skills. If only there was a photo mode. We can turn off the interface, but it is not enough to take great photos.
My Result
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, which set out with the power of names such as R.A Salvatore, Todd Mcfarlane (Spawn) and Ken Roiston (Elder ScrollsIV: Oblivion), was a game that did not get the value it deserved due to unsuccessful advertising campaigns, strong opponents and various troubles. 38 Studios, who also wanted to make an MMO game set in the world of Amalur, went bankrupt shortly after its release, and the naming rights were acquired by THQ Nordic in 2018.
Published by THQ Nordic, Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is a full game that players looking for a different action RPG game can love. Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is a very good game with its strengthened graphics, improved gameplay mechanics and a world that promises you a great adventure. Maybe there are too many side quests and conversations that may intimidate you, but the joy you get when you put on your guns and get into the action is worth it.
Players who have played Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning will not find much innovation in this package. The arrival of some gameplay enhancing updates and difficulty settings that make it even more enjoyable is definitely a plus. For those who have played the main game before but have not bought DLC packs like me, the opportunity to play with improved graphics is fine. Still, if you have any thoughts about buying the game, I have one more news for you. In the announcement made by THQ Nordic, it was announced that a brand new content package will be coming to the game. There is not much information about the content package called Fatesworn, but new content is always good news.
Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning takes an already beautiful game and gives the new generation of players the opportunity to experience it. If you can rid yourself of the burden of side missions and problems in storytelling, you can have a very enjoyable time.
Legendary Game for Skateboarders - Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2
How is ***Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2*** game, which can be described as the return of the legendary skateboarding games? Let's see it all together.
***Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2*** is a remastered version of the timeless skateboarding games Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and Pro Skater 2 games and combined under one name. I can say that it was one of the most enjoyable games to see again in today's world where remakes are frequent. As skateboard games are slowly losing their popularity and being pushed towards the dusty shelves of history, "I don't know those places, gardaş!" Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 makes us happy in this sense.
Pros
+ Great music
+ Character customizations very detailed
+ Section variety and designs
+ Controller scheme and controls offer a comfortable experience
Cons
- It can take a long time to open with Epic Games Launcher.
Platforms
PC, PlayStation 4, XBox One
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater is a linear progressive game in terms of its 1 + 2 structure. It has a level system in the single player mode, and we progress by opening levels. There are some tasks we need to do in each level in order to open the chapters and progress in Skate Tours. The number of missions increases and diversifies in every map we open. Although not on every map, we also have some fixed missions that we encounter on most maps. For example, the game asks you to combine the word SKATE by collecting the letters scattered around the map in many maps. However, as you progress, it gets harder to collect these letters. In addition to this, in terms of the structure and design of the sections, secret tapes that you cannot get into all of them without learning the section are waiting for you in a remote corner of the map.
There is also a three-tier system that requires you to reach a certain score among the tasks you must complete in the chapter. Unlocking one map without performing most of its missions gets harder as you progress. This takes you from "If you do something more or less" mode in the first levels to "If you have come this far, you have solved something, try a little more" mode. It both creates an environment of ambition for the players who like to compete with it and prevents the player from progressing without fully mastering the basic mechanics of the game.
As you open chapters and complete missions, you earn experience points and game money. With these, you can customize your character and buy new skateboards. Again, you buy different looks and clothes for your character and personalize your look. In this sense, the game gets a little more branched out. Even if you play with Tony Hawk in the single player mode, you can play with many legendary skateboarders when you start multiplayer games. The customizations you make are only applied to the character you choose at the moment, so you have to decide which skateboarders with different features and abilities you want to play with and customize. Among professional skateboarders, you can play with 21 skateboarders and 1 skeleton, including **Aori Nishimura, Bucky Lasek, Elissa Steamer**, as well as **Tony Hawk.** Yes, you did not hear it wrong, a skeleton character called Ripper is also a playable character.
You can improve your skills with "**Stat point**" objects that you can collect on the maps in the single player game. With these points, you can increase your character's speed, jump height, and time spent in the air. This allows you to improve yourself before entering multiplayer games and competing with other users. Again, these improvements apply to the character you are currently using, when you choose a different skateboarder, you continue with its default features and appearance. If you want to create your own skateboarder, yes you can do that too.
After you take care of the name of your character and the rest of the bureaucracy, you start to customize your appearance. There are so many looks that you can create your character to your liking. As in RPG games, we do not adjust the size of the eye, eyebrow, but choose from presets. However, eye color and hair style can be adjusted, even though they are still made up of presets. I can say that the diversity of these is also appropriate. Yes, we can do Geralt. Apart from that, you determine your character's features and abilities at the beginning. If you want to wear a mask on your character, you can do that too.
Also, in character customization, when you try to explore the rest of the game, you unlock some achievements. You can see them in the "**Challenges**" section of the game and get the rewards of those you complete. While the rewards are game money and experience points, they can also sometimes give you new skateboard skins. The awards are not added automatically, you have to confirm that you have received them by clicking and clicking.
The structure of the game is based on combos and special moves, the combos rise and constantly fold the more you move in a row without falling. Multiplayer games are also built on this. You join lobbies, match you up with people, send 8 people to the same level, and here you have to complete some challenges before others. These include reaching the highest combo, performing certain moves in the right way, or just earning the highest score until the time runs out. I can say that the awards are more abundant than the single player game. However, let me add that when you enter without developing yourself and your character in single player, you can stay behind other players. No matter how hard you struggle, if you haven't developed your character it's a bit hard to keep up with them, go back to single player.
Players can interact with each other, except for the episodes offered by Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2. You can create your own section from the "Create a Park" section. This is a good place to start if you want to be a department designer. In addition, others can play in the section you have created, and you can try the sections created by others. Again, when you enter this map editor mode, you will win some awards waiting for you to be approved in the challenges section. If you want to see where people's imaginations can reach, definitely visit this section.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 is also visually great. It was developed using Unreal Engine technology and we can say that it really flows like oil in terms of both quality and performance. Although the lighting of the sections, texture quality, particles and environmental design are disturbing at some points, they do not cause any problems for the player in general. The lights do not send laser beams from your screen to your eyes when you turn off the lights at night and start having a little skateboarding adventure. Reflections and shadows were also in taste. The performance is quite high despite all this visual feast. There is nothing to say, the game got full points in terms of graphics / performance.
Ah! Here we come to my favorite part of the review, the atmosphere and the music. When you realize that while playing Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2, you start to jump right and left on the sofa, nod your head, it's too late for everything. The game has caught you, enchanted and controlled you! Even if you spend time in the main menu without doing anything, it somehow manages to draw you in with its music and color palette. Especially if you do crazy movements with skateboard and fly from place to place, I am sure that you will have a much different experience with these music. I can say that the most impressive point of the game is its soundtrack.
The only thing I think is a minus for the game is that it works with Epic Games Launcher. Although Epic is open sometimes, it has problems connecting to the servers and does not allow your game to open without connecting to the servers itself. As such, it can take a long time for your game to open. This may be related to my connection as well, I have this problem every time I open the game. However, I cannot say that it is such an annoying situation.
My Personal Comment
In short, *Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2* is a nice game for anyone who is good at skateboarding or not. He makes unfamiliar players a skateboarder in the "Tutorial" episode. I can say that it is a game that works well with its structure and system, and as a software I have not seen any errors. The atmosphere and graphics are as good as they should be, the music is exquisite, the gameplay is based on combos and enjoyable. This is all I was going to talk about in the review, but you can specify anything you are curious about or want to know in the comments section. See you again in new reviews, stay cool.
Pure Action Game - Marvel's Avengers
Marvel characters have always had great potential. However, with the success that Disney has achieved in the cinematic universe, we can say that these characters have now spread to a much wider audience and are adopted by more people. It is possible to say this for the Marvel's Avengers game. In other words, instead of turning to the core, there is a situation of turning to a much wider audience. This situation has some advantages as well as very important disadvantages. In our Marvel's Avengers Review, we will touch on all these facts.
First of all, let's briefly talk about the story of the game. As a matter of fact, many of us are already familiar with this story with the beta program that has been organized in the past weeks, although there are plenty of places in the promotional videos. The story of the game actually begins with the A-Day event, which we also encounter in beta. Here are extras compared to beta, such as the pursuit of comics with kamala Khan, some important scenes for the story. So I can say that they didn't put the input sequence into beta as it was.
Pros
+ Story mode fun
+ References to the Marvel world
+ Different character and special moves
+ Skill tree and combos
+ Possibility to play co-op
Cons
- Establishing completely on the Loot system
- Items you collect do not affect appearance
The item system loses its purpose after a while
- Chaos on the battlefield
- Errors occurring in the cutscene
While enjoying the Avengers day with Kamala Khan, there is a big attack and we take control of the Avengers members respectively. This part is handled in a bit of a mouth-to-mouth logic. So when you say I'm getting used to the character you control, you automatically switch to the other character and start to drift towards the consequences of this attack. I say drift because the Avengers are taking a big hit on this special day when the heroes show off. The Avengers team disintegrates, thousands of people die, and many of them are under the influence of Terrigenesis and gain special powers. The Terrigenesis incident, which we have seen frequently in comics and in productions such as Agents of Shield, is positioned at an important part of the story. As a matter of fact, Kamala Khan, who runs around and is a big Avengers fan, finds himself in the center of the story.
I'm not kidding when I say on the belly In the story mode of the game where we go five years after this dire event, we witness the events from the eyes of Kamala Khan almost from the beginning to the end. With the heroes re-joining the team, we sometimes take control of other characters in the story parts, but I can say that Kamala Khan remains the weight. I mean, when I say Thor, Iron Man, Black Widow and so on, I couldn't figure out why Kamala was preferred.
This trend in the story does not bother you much, but I can say that it bothered me from time to time that Kamala solved everything and had a very heavy place even in story fiction. Even though Tony snapped himself at the moments when the story loop was unraveled, "Oh, we didn't know, I'm glad you said", indeed, he loosens the knot most of the time and you cannot put this into a logic.
The task process is left to your preference as the characters join the team. You can control all the characters in the main cast of the team, such as Kamala Khan, Hulk, Iron Man, Black Widow, Captain America and Thor, throughout the story mode. The story process usually proceeds as heading the War Table, pick a mission and prepare to beat the nation.
Marvel's Avengers is a pure action game literally. For most of the game, you find yourself leaning on the light and heavy attack keys. This situation has been made more fun with different characters and evolving skill system. You can improve your character's combos, including his superpowers, from the skill tree system. Unlike straight hits, this mechanism opens the doors of different combos and makes the game more enjoyable. Moreover, although there are a lot of characters, you do not encounter a complex structure here. Since the general process is based on the same logic, it is not a matter of confusing the character abilities with which keys.
This actor selection in the game has managed to add a great color to Marvel's Avengers in terms of difference. but when we look at the general lines, it also brings a big disadvantage. First of all, a process such as choosing the character you want is offered, except for the sections that are specially designed for the characters or automatically given for the story. You do not encounter a big advantage of this election event.
In other words, at no point in the game, I never faced the dilemma of "Brother, I should definitely enter this episode with Hulk, I have to mess around" or "Let me get Kamala Khan and get closer to more strategic events, it may be good to go a little secret". This means that Marvel's Avengers has a big advantage. While it could be a much more beautiful game that can make the distinction of heroes well, it has turned into a game in which we beat a man and chase Loot. Don't get me wrong, this action structure works well, but while it could be much better, I think the production team missed this opportunity by putting the loot logic in the foreground.
Let's come to the most talked about point of the game, the Loot system. The general operation of the game is based on these Loot dynamics. I can say that Loot dynamics is the backbone of the game both in the story mode and in the content that will be released in the future. While focusing on the course of the story in the game area, you start to exploit the cases Jarvis has detected on the right and left. The items that come out of these chests give your character different properties and power boosts that we call Boost. They do not have any visual effects, but when you attach them to your character, you can clearly see what advantages they provide. These items have extras such as resistance to fire, cold, stronger hits or shortening the skill time.
However, at first you look at which item does what it does, and after a while you stop it. You just wear the item with the highest value and continue on your way. Just like I mentioned in character selection, there is no such thing as "Wait, this item will be more useful for me in this section". As I said, although it is strange to find items such as ribs and leg muscles when we come to Hulk, while wearing bracelets and additional apparatus to characters such as Kamala Khan or Black Widow, the operation is based on this logic.
The most important factor in the Marvel's Avengers game is that the game does not end. So you finish the story mode, but actually this part is designed as an introduction to the event. With the co-op and online options, the Avengers Initiative part comes into play and you can see how the story continues from this section. We already learned that characters such as Hawkeye (Clint Barton) and Spider-Man will be added to the game before the game's release date. It is even a great advantage that Spider-Man comes exclusively for Sony consoles.
Indeed, he is one of the most popular Marvel characters. With the release of the game, the character of Kate Bishop was also added to the game. In the future, it is said that characters such as Ant-Man, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Falcon, Mar-Vell, Mockingbird, Quake, Scarlet Witch, She-Hulk, Vision, War Machine, Wasp and Winter Soldier will be added to the game. When each character's own story line and special missions are included, we can really make a never-ending game analogy for Marvel's Avengers. Adding all these characters to the game, special items and costumes, it can be said that the focus of the game will turn to this Loot mechanic.
When we come to the technical aspects of the game such as the graphics and sound, we encounter a very nice workmanship except some problems. First of all, the graphics of the game are really nice. Both the different places you have visited and the character animations have been carefully studied. You can clearly see the different movements in the cobos you exhibit, or details such as the Hulk's bellowing. Even the drooling in Hulk's mouth is visible. Despite some bugs and camera problems in narrow areas, the production team really did a painstaking job. The voice cast includes names like Nolan North, Troy Baker, Jeff Schine and Laura Bailey, whom we are already familiar with from the game world.
In the technical part, I would like to mention two details that annoy me the most. First of all, if you play the game alone, you usually have artificial intelligence characters with you. It was really difficult to contain these characters in the game. In other words, while you are trying to stop and enjoy the view, they jump from place to place as if there is an enemy, or they try to get stuck on an object in the middle of the action and run where they are. Naturally, the workload falls on you to a great extent. Another factor is that I came across in the cutscenes and I can say that the repetition of this situation requires a patch on this issue. Let's say you are under intense enemy attack in the game.
What you need to do is protect an area or destroy certain objects. If you do your job directly without taking care of most of the enemies around, you can witness these enemies stuck in the background in the next cutscene. For example, on a mission we have to destroy a large energy source similar to Tony's Arc reactor. For this, we have been given targets such as 7, 8 batteries that we have to destroy. As you can guess, the enemy is not passing through. On the one hand, you are dealing with enemies while destroying the targets on the other. At this point, I got into the Hulk Buster costume and quickly destroyed those battery points. Since I did not shake the enemies much, they all came up against me in the next cutscene, running left and right in the background. Moreover, I have to say that we always encounter this problem in this kind of task operation. In a game with such a strong cinematic aspect, such a mistake naturally bothered me.
As a result, as I mentioned at the beginning, Marvel's Avengers is a good action game. But I can say that this action structure is somewhat crushed under the general planned new contents and loot logic. Although I generally love the marvel universe and superhero games, I did not get the pleasure and satiety I expected from the game. If you like the pure action genre and more importantly the Loot logic, Marvel's Avengers can give you a lot of fun. As I said, I love Marvel and Avengers movies, and if I make a comparison at this point, if Marvel's Avengers were in the cinematic universe, it would probably be a movie that we would find worse than Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Cool Game for Basketball Fans - NBA 2K21
When I first opened **NBA 2K21**, the menu I came across was giving me the first signals of what kind of game awaited me. The menu of the NBA 2K21 stands out with its very simple design compared to the 2K series basketball games that were previously published. The menu is so simple that it is as if it was inspired by the website design that the local shopkeepers who sell carboy water had a relative who understands these works. Joking aside, it is a fact that this simple design, which is adorned with the visuals of Blazzers' star name Damian Lillard, does a very good job of quickly reaching the content you want.
For the NBA 2K21 review, let me first talk about the game modes. As every year, MY Team MY Career awaits you in NBA 2K21, MyLeague main game modes. Two, two, three, three street basketball modes, Blacktop and women's basketball league WNBA, where you can play online or against the computer, are among the game modes you can access under the Play Now menu. Did 2K, which did not do a very elaborate and innovative job in menu design, maintained this careless attitude in the gameplay dynamics? I decided to play a quick match. My first match against the All Star Chicago Bulls against the All Star Los Angeles Lakers unfortunately justified my doubts. The entrance ceremonies of the match, the warm-up of the players, the designs of the fans and even the speeches of the presenters are exactly the same as the last year's game. Of course, I don't need to mention that the graphics and sound effects of player face designs are the same as NBA 2K21. Still, I started my first fight with the jump ball, saying there are some changes in the gameplay.
The first notable innovation in NBA 2K21 is the shooting bar. Each year, a change was made in the design of the shot bar, which changes both in terms of design and location (such as hand alignment, underfoot). With a moving notch placed on the shot meter, you can now more easily determine the range you need to stop to shoot the perfect shot. Especially with the change made last year, the design problem that occurred in the shot bar (which was quite inconsistent) caused you to not be able to set the timing of the shot correctly. Thanks to this new design - notch detail - you can send accurately timed shots much more comfortably. Although this situation gives you an advantage in your own matches against artificial intelligence, there will be thousands of NBA 2K21 players who benefit from this innovation like you. It's okay for everyone to enter MJ mode in multiplayer matches!
If we say that the only innovation in the gameplay mechanics for the NBA 2K21 review is the design change in the shot bar, we would not have made a very wrong assessment. There are no noticeable changes in the tourniquet animations, dunk animations, basic animations such as dribbling, defensive postures, tackling, rebounding. This situation causes you to feel that you are playing a different game than the previous game in the last year as the general feeling of gameplay. Gameplay mechanics changes, which have positive and negative consequences for some years, do not appear this year at all.
The dramatic similarity between NBA 2K20 and NBA 2K21 continues to be seen in MY Career mode, the most played game mode of the series. The biggest change in My Career mode, where we witness the birth of a basketball player, is in the "story" part. Our character, nicknamed "Junior", is the son of a beloved basketball player. Living in the shadow of his father, Junior struggles to meet expectations. Michael K. Williams (The Wire), Djimon Hounsou (Captain Marvel, Blood Diamond) and Jesse Williams (Grey's Anatomy) are famous actors who accompanied us on Juniro's journey. NBA stars Damien Lillard and Zion Williamson are also voicing their own characters. The story follows Junior's journey from high school to college and the NBA, trying to make us feel like a true basketball player. However, I cannot pass without mentioning that this story mode does not mean much for the players who subscribe to the series, and that it is a cliché that X is pressed and passed.
Even the high school and summer camp matches are so long, the match times are so long that playing matches like this test of patience to get yourself into the Neighborhood mode turns into a little Chinese torture. The character development screen, the badge system, the My Career menu, and even the match rank you played until you reach the NBA is exactly the same as the previous game. It just goes without mentioning a small change added to the story mode.
As we move forward in the story, we have to make choices at some critical moments from time to time. This can lead to both minor changes in the progression of the story, as well as gaining or losing more in-game currency (VC). The choice in the finale of the story seems to have been placed in the story to let you know if you are more of a stingy person. An interesting selection awaits you in the finale!
The new character development system, where we select the badges we want from the classes by spending skill points, according to the movements we make in the match, the level of the class in which the relevant badge is filled, we earn one more skill point each time the level is filled, and the skill points we have used to increase the level of the badge we want has been preserved. Even the badge features have never been touched. This year, no changes have been made to the badge features that change every year.
The biggest difference between NBA 2K19 and NBA 2K20 was the new talent system and character creation options. The character creation screen in NBA 2K20 has been transferred to NBA 2K21 as is the talent system. You can imagine the difference between two games and even these three games. I think one of the biggest differences between the three games appears in the soundtracks of the game. The NBA 2K21 soundtrack is again made up of very good songs of the throttle-boosting fashion and basketball-lover-impulse genre.
Although it is not on the Playstation 4 side, especially on the PC side, gamers complain about bugs and connection problems. I did not encounter any bug problems in the game I experienced on PS4. However, I can say that there is no improvement in connection and lag problems are still continuing. I do not want to dwell on it as there is no graphical innovation. It still holds the title of being one of the best looking games of the current generation NBA 2K series. I am already looking forward to seeing the leap in the next generation.
My last overall comment
We have come to an end with my NBA 2K21 review content. We have a game that can be called the twin of the NBA 2K20, as if referring to the famous spider-man meme, with its menu designs, content, game modes and errors, where gameplay mechanics make it feel different. It makes us think that the game developer team, which looks more like a squad update, spends all its effort on the next generation game and keeps the innovations for the NBA 2K21 game, which will be released on the next generation consoles. If you want to switch to the new generation and transfer your MyCareer progress to the next generation NBA 2K21, it may be the right choice to buy NBA 2K21 now. However, if you are not interested in the new generation, it would be logical to continue playing NBA 2K20.
My Cult Best FPS Game - Crysis Remastered
***I played and reviewed the Remastered version of Crysis, one of the best cult FPS games of all time.*** Time passes fast, and technology advances even faster than time. Even today, Crysis, Half Life, Doom, Quake, and even branded legends such as Medal of Honor, Call of Duty and Battlefield, Crysis has written itself as a cult production in the history of the game with golden letters. Coming back to Crysis Remastered PC review.
Even if we make a mistake by saying that Crysis is actually a production that we do not need to be "Remastered" with prejudice, we clearly understand that 2007's Crysis was worn out after seeing the Remastered version. So what sets Crysis: Remastered apart from the Texture mods we downloaded to have better graphics and even mods like Crysis Enhanced?
This production, made jointly between main developer Crytek GmbH and Saber Interactive, is almost like a Remake to recreate the game. Despite all this, Crytek, the developer company, preferred to call the game Remastered instead of calling it Remake.
Who knows, maybe if they were directed to remake as a remake, the game would be better than expected… Even the comparison image below explains everything. Crysis Remastered image posted by Crytek. The other is Crysis from 2007, whose screenshot was taken by a player in the last settings.
**"Can it Run Crysis?" we say first!**
In short, "Does this PC remove Crysis?" we say. Crysis was such a game that it was almost the nightmare of many hardware companies, and a production that helped them improve themselves. Because the system that can remove Crysis was capable of removing every game on the market. If there was a problem with Crysis, all other businesses were old. People would buy hardware according to a system that removes Crysis. Even those who invest a fortune in the systems to play this game were on the agenda in the game press. I want to get into the subject without further ado
"Can it Run Crysis" is exactly this: A feature added to the game with Crysis Remastered and a feature that supports the game with 8K. In a way, it is a feature that can come after Ultra features. The moment you activate this feature from the settings section of the game, it starts to scan your game system thoroughly and offers you the most powerful graphics and features according to your system. In this way, you can see whether the game is really compatible with your system or not. In my Country, "**Does my computer Abu remove Crysis?**" We used to say, "**Can it run Crysis?**" Breasts, with a lot of Internet deer under their name, had taken hold of everywhere. Crytek both refers to these jokes and really tests whether our system can remove Crysis.
If I have to say something: There is no system today that will completely remove Crysis Remastered by taking it into this mode. I can say this clearly and clearly.
Minimum System Requirements
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
-Processor: Intel Core i5-3450 / AMD Ryzen 3
- Memory: 8GB
- Disk: 20GB
- Direct X: DX11
-GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti / AMD Radeon 470
-GPU memory: 4GB for 1080p
Recommended System Requirements
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
-Processor: Intel Core i5-7600k or higher / AMD Ryzen 5 or higher
- Memory: 12GB
- Disk: 20GB
- Direct X: DX11
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti / AMD Radeon Vega 56
GPU memory: 8GB in 1080p
Regarding the PC version of Crysis: Remastered, I should also mention that NVIDIA includes DLSS technology. According to the system specifications, this game requires minimum graphics cards such as GeForce GTX 1050Ti, Radeon RX 470. On average, if you have a GTX 1660 Ti or Radeon Vega 56 and a superior system than these, you are ready for Crysis: Remastered, but let me state again, it has been a Remastered game beyond today.
Pros
+A Remastered game worthy of the quality of Crytek
+"Can it run Crysis?" feature of
+8K feature and textures redesigned in 8K
+NVDIA DLSS feature for PC
+The reality of ray tracing reflections
Cons
-Exclusive to Epic Games on PC
-A system that requires high features that cannot be played on every system
-Lack of multiplayer mode
-With that hard work, you could also add Crysis Warhead to the main menu.
**Your consoles will burn with your PC!**
I think I have touched enough on the PC issue. The main platform of Crysis, which Crytek launched in 2007, was PC. He hadn't been on the consoles. With the renewed graphics engine, Cry Engine 3, Crysis 2 continued to remain as a PC game, although after Crysis 2 came to consoles only digitally. In fact, I'm sure most of you don't know about it. It was such a careless production.
This time, Crysis, which was re-created with Remastered, has become more and more powerful with the consoles of the renewed generation compared to the previous generation and reached the level to compete with the PC.
Considering these, the company has developed the game's Real Time Reflections, Rippling Caustics, State of the Art Depth of Field, High Quality Textures, Enhanced Particle Effect. They touched on many features such as (Advanced Particle Effects), Ray Tracing, Enhanced Explosion Effects, and not only did they reinvent everything. In other words, with the "8K Tech" video previously published by the company, these features came to the fore even more. In this video, the difference between the old and the new Crysis was clear. You can view this video below.
All these features were not limited to the PC but were also carried to the consoles. You will experience the same features as you can see on consoles. Even a few days before the release of the new generation consoles, you can close it with one of the best graphics games of this generation.
With these features, your consoles will burn while your PC systems are burning!
What's the biggest feature on consoles?
I think the biggest feature on the PC is "Can it run Crysis?" was the feature. The most ultra graphics with everything.
I think the best features added for Sony PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Xbox One are Quality, Performance and Ray Tracing mode, which can be adjusted as follows. To explain:
Quality mode that can be adjusted up to 30 FPS for 4K systems,
*- Performance up to 60 FPS for 1080p,*
*- RayTracing mode for 1080p, 30 FPS*
According to these features, you can adjust the fluency of the game and the visuality reflected according to your television. This feature is a mode that can provide a completely stable image and performance. In other words, you do not have to buy 8K TVs for 8K games, you can adjust the best projected game according to your own TV with the mod.
**Crysis Remastered PC review: Graphics, Specifications and Gameplay**
These were the features of the brand new Remastered Crysis, tuned with technique and CryEngine power. So what are the changes in gameplay?
Nanosuit especially impressed me. Of course, I am not talking about an innovation such as the Nanosuit 2.0 that came with Crysis 2. In general of the interviews with Cevat Yerli on time, "Will new features be added to Nanosuit?" “We have to make people forget the features of this outfit, we think what a way to follow”. With the Nanosuit 2.0 announced in 2010, our clothing was completely changed and moved to a higher level. It had a more realistic share with the development and story of CryNet, which was also fictionalized in the game.
Crytek not only touched the graphics and technical features, but also touched the gameplay.
Let me state that the Nanosuit in Crysis Remastered is the Nanosuit in the main game. Nanosuit 2.0 is absent. The same garment is on us, but the visuality and detail in the textures and clothes have been increased and all these have reached 8K. Apart from all these, there are two different settings to the game. I didn't realize it while I was trying this in the office. Then I noticed with the warning of a Crytek employee, Steffen.
*The difference was: Classic and New Nanosuit feature*
While the classic Nanosuit is the familiar nanosuit feature that can be adjusted according to features such as Maximum Speed, Power and Armor, which are opened by clicking the middle part of the mouse on the PC, the other feature is the Nanosuit 2.0 features we have experienced in Crysis 2 and Crysis 3. In other words, when pressing Q, the armor is active, when pressing E, the stealth is active. Maybe there were more features, but I might not have discovered this part yet. I guess I didn't feel like new Easter Eggs were hiding somewhere.
Most criticized situation? Epic Games Store topic
When the platforms for Crysis Remastered were announced, the appearance of only the Epic Games Store caused the players to react.
Actually, I cannot criticize the Epic Games Store incident very much, but I will write this incident in the missing part of the review. "Why did you say such a contradictory thing?" I can hear what you say.
I cannot criticize because the trend of digital platforms is now in favor of alternative productions. Even Red Dead Redemption 2, which we thought impossible to come to PC, was published on the Epic Games Store and Rockstar Launcher. The boxed and Steam version came later.
Metro Exodus, which is the first of this issue, that is to be published exclusively with the Epic Games Store, collected all the criticisms and minus points because it was the first experience. On the other hand, we can say that we have forgotten even these events. Therefore, it is necessary not to worry about it anymore.
Like other players criticizing the Epic Games incident, I wish it would come to all platforms immediately, but I'm sure Epic Games has the best performance and pricing for now. Unfortunately, it is definitely unknown whether it will come to other platforms. That's why I recommend to skip that topic and switch to new platforms.
Crysis Remastered PC review: Conclusion
Crysis was a production that influenced the actors with its story and Inon Zur's compositions as well as its incredible graphics. I am glad that this production, which has managed to become cult in time with everything, is a production that can meet with us today with its many technical features and the latest version Cry Engine, which has been continuously renewed for 13 years.
This year we saw lots of Remastered, Remake and even Reboot productions. Compared to these, I can say that the features and graphics of the game are quite satisfactory. We hope the Crysis Remastered PC review was informative enough for you. You can ask us about the topics you are curious about in the comments section. We are happy to answer.
I Played Fighting Simulation - WWE 2K Battlegrounds
***First of all,*** **I have to say that the game has effects such as reducing stress.** Many of us have watched WWE Smackdown at least once in our lifetime. It is not possible for a generation to watch the television watch until the night for the show that starts at midnight here, not to like the basic logic of this game. The fact that it is far from realism both in terms of graphics and gameplay helps us to forget the troubles of the jar-bottomed world we are in.
When I examine WWE 2K Battlegrounds, I refer to the basic structure and mechanics of the game. Of course, there are also some mistakes in the game.
Pros
+ Comic book style storytelling well crafted
+ Gameplay is full and fighting dynamics are successful
+ Graphics create an atmosphere harmonious with the genre of the game
+ Character and environment creation systems are very detailed
Cons
- There are occasional performance drops
- Errors can occur in animation transitions
- The game progresses monotonously after a while
- Micro payments
WWE 2K Battlegrounds bears the signature of Saber Interactive, whose name you also heard from Crysis Remastered. It is very far from realism that has become a combat simulation, I can say that it is made for everyone who has a completely arcade head, who wants to get tired of the hardships of life and relax for a few hours. The first impression the game left on me was in this direction. Of course, this game, which we will examine in depth, has some faults as well.
I liked the story mode of the game. We get involved in the flow of events by reading the comic book pages. The basic logic is beat, move forward, get reward, beat, move forward. As you move forward with this rhythm, it tells you the story on the one hand, and the atmosphere of the game is carried to a different dimension at each breaking point of the story. For example, after a while you start the game, you say goodbye to your first character, go to Mexico and try to get your other character into the superstar league. Meanwhile, Steve Austin (also known as Stone Cold) is by your side while raising every rookie. The flow of the story actually prompts you to change characters every time to learn about the different types of wrestlers in the game. There are different classes in the game such as Brawler, High Flyer, All-Rounder, Technician, Powerhouse. For example, the Brawler class makes its difference when it comes to engaging in banging, High Flyer wrestlers are more athletic and a little more aesthetic wrestling. While the Technician wrestlers will oppose you more easily and put forward a more technical fight, Powerhouse is as strong as saying "I need two of you". If you want some of them all, there is the All-rounder class for you.
While I was learning the game, both in the story and in the practice modes, something caught my attention. There is a feeling of hitting officially in the game. I can say that I felt bumps in most places up to my bone marrow without even the shaking of the controller in my hand. I think this toughness in hitting is the strongest aspect of the game that causes stress reduction. The fact that the characters that look like small plastic toys hit each other as if shaking the ring and this can be felt makes the game successful in terms of gameplay. Also, another thing I really feel during the matches is that you continue to play against a really tired and crushed opponent when the health and stamina bars decrease after a little bit of battering your opponent. They felt this very well. It would be interesting to see an opponent who had beaten my life up from the ground as if nothing had happened and continue attacking me. In this sense, we can say that the game is successful.
Although the gameplay is successful, there are some animation errors. When the opponent grabs you and takes you over his shoulders, you will notice if you want to escape by pressing the right button and hit the middle of his mouth. During the animation transitions, our character can go into absurd situations, the opponent's shoulder suddenly goes under the ground - passing through - and then appears standing behind him and the animation continues, damaging the feeling of satiety that I just mentioned. I think they fix this with a recent update. In addition, there are occasional stutters and performance jumps in the game. You get a value between 10-15 FPS for just a few seconds without changing any sound, input lag value of the game and it passes. In the first place I thought, "**Is the console too hot?**" Even if questions like I checked it, it is not something that is experienced due to heating. WWE 2K Battlegrounds has some mistakes in this sense.
However, there are several different options for what you can do in the game, if you have finished the story mode or if it is not for you. You can join online tournaments or challenge others in King of the Battlegrounds mode. King of the Battlegrounds is actually a game mode that fighters know very well. A lobby is created, everyone starts to play matches one after another, a fixture is formed. Players get points per match they win, and the one with the most games and the most points in total wins. Of course, if you don't own a PlayStation Plus and offline modes are more of a concern to you, then it's okay, they are also available. In the "Exhibition" section, you can find all match types in the game. This is your practice area, you can learn the mods you do not know here, and you can get a healthier experience in story mode. In addition, there is a section where you can create your own character and your own map.
On the character creation screen, you can better see the types of wrestlers we just mentioned. The first question asked to you when creating your character is "What do you want to be". Here you choose the genre that will determine the characteristics of your wrestler. I mentioned it in the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 review, yes! You can do Geralt. As you can customize many parts of your character, the variety of presets in these parts is also nice. Also, even if you choose the preset, you can make some eyebrow eye adjustments yourself. Afterwards, you can change your character's tattoos, clothes and the whole look. Among them is even how to get the match. Some of these customizations are locked to you, you can pay with both currencies in the game, and they are unlocked this way. It does not require external in-game payments from you.
You can create your own battlefield as you create your character. While doing this, you can customize many parts such as the ring, corner posts, fireworks that will explode when the wrestlers take the stage. What I liked most about this part was that we could change the music. You choose a music according to your taste and it plays in the encounter area you have created while you fight fiercely. Of course, this part is more expensive than character creation, you need to unlock it first for all customizations. Although it gives you basic customizations at first, those that always look cooler and more detailed are paid. As such, you have to at least finish the story mode and get rich by getting all the awards there.
After creating your character, the "Battlegrounds Challenge" game mode path appears for you. Let me tell you that an offline game mode. This place is just like in the story mode, beat, move forward, get reward, beat, move forward. Your main goal is to increase your character's strength and abilities. As with the WWE wrestlers already in the game, the character you create also has a power point. It starts at 60 in the first place. As you fight with opponents and collect your rewards in the Battlegrounds Challenge game mode, it gives you messages like "This skill has improved" and your character becomes stronger. As you progress, you encounter more challenging opponents. Some famous WWE wrestlers we see in the story appear in both areas. It is a special joy to struggle with famous names such as Rey Mysterio, The Undertaker, Big Show, who embellished the childhood of some of us and the youth of some of us.
**As a result of my comment for the game**
If you say "**I want to buy WWE 2K Battleground but I have question marks in my head**" you have come to the right part. I mentioned the basic structure and details of the game above, but I want to reserve this part for the decision. Weigh yourself first, do you like to go all the way to the end, no matter how monotonous a game starts to be? If you have such a structure, I recommend the game for you with peace of mind. Also, this game will entertain you if you like to juggle with your friends, siblings or anyone online at home. That's all I have to say, stay with all of you love and play, hope to see you again in a new game review.
